The Secret of Starhelm
Project Overview
Greetings, and thanks for checking out this posting!
Secret of Starhelm is an original hybrid roleplaying and dramatized audio project created exclusively for Valkyrie Fitness - a wonderful, nerdy-as-heck personal training company that aims to provide support for women as they train physically. This is for your Nestas, your Feyres, your Katnisses, your Violets! Coach Cosette provides targeted workout programs for every client, moderates a kick-ass Discord full of women warriors, and hosts weekly live chats. She also offers multimedia questlines written, directed, and produced entirely by... me! The Valkyries/The Listener are embarking on a four-week D&D-like program in January of 2026 that will take them into the Fae realm of Starhelm, where they will meet a cast of fascinating characters and achieve their fitness goals (or not) in order to inform the story trajectory. Note: This company is size inclusive and LGBTQIA-affirming.
Completed audios will not be made available to the public, but I will be happy to provide you with finished audio clips for your demo reel!
Additional information will be shared under the character descriptions. Some of these roles only have a few lines, and some are more involved! More characters may be added as the project develops. I will attempt to have a line count completed and posted soon so you can see what you are getting into before you agree to anything!
NOTE: Absolutely no AI is going to be used in this project, nor will I be using any vocals provided to train or furnish AI.

Recurring character. I am looking for a feminine delivery, but very nerdy - sort of like Liara from the Mass Effect series. Alyndra studies the stars and has found that the movements of the heavens at the time of the story coincide with a very important prophecy. Appears in several episodes! There is a potential romance arc between Alyndra and Reyden, if the listeners choose to pursue that. All of these episodes are SFW.

Come in. I was just looking through these scrolls again. I’m half worried I made a mistake, but I don’t usually make mistakes, and I’ve been looking out for these patterns in the constellations for a long time.
I’ve always been more interested in the stars than my teachers thought was healthy. (Pause) No, that is true, but pattern recognition can only take you so far. After a while, you start to see patterns where there aren’t any. Do you know how to read a Fae star chart?

Valkyrie. Alyndra (uh-LINN-druh) has told me of you. I can see that you have much to learn. Why should I welcome or trust you in my realm, when you cannot even correctly address me?
You are wise. If it is true that this ancient prophecy is coming to bear, we cannot know everything about what is required, nor about the results of our efforts, until the whole matter is over and done with. Our society is not an open one, as you see. And it has not been my habit to invite strangers to our lands. But if my Fae are in any possible danger, heaven and earth must move to protect them. Even now, I wonder if we have made a mistake in hosting you here. You will show us, won’t you? That we haven’t?
Indeed. And tomorrow, you shall see more of it. I require anyone who serves me, even temporarily, to undergo physical training with our legendary warriors the Starwatch. You are not of the Fae, so I hesitate to even ask such a complex question, but… Do you understand why you have been sent for?

Lastus (LASS-tiss) is described in the story as being an extremely attractive male Fae with perfect features and straight, white teeth. He is also, unfortunately, a horrible bully. He picks on the Listener and tries to sabotage one of their physical training trials in front of the other warriors in the Starwatch - only when the Captain is not looking, of course. May appear in more than one episode. Open to different accents!

Was once a Starhelm soldier under a previous monarch, and now he spies for the High Excellence. He's older, a little shifty, gruff. Puts the listener through a test at the onset. He also has an important info dump about the major enemy group in the story. May appear in more than one episode.

I am Spymaster Cornaith Reyden. I don’t care overmuch for strangers, especially on our Isle, but Alyndra has assured me that establishing a working relationship with you is necessary.
I’ve met one or two of them in a fight. (Pause) Well - they are spellcasters, primarily. Very nasty. All I knew to do then was to cut them down with a blade before they could open their mouths - though since then I’ve taught myself a couple of counter-spells.
What has your stay in Starhelm been like so far? (Pause) Yes, I know Captain Nualeth. They’re still making the Starwatch throw that lifting stone around, then? (Pause) Oh - good for you. There are only two more challenges, then - finish them and you may have what it takes to become an honorary member of the Starwatch…

The listener is greeted by this servant when they arrive on the Fae isle of Starhelm. Very short role, only appears in one episode! They hand the listener a pamphlet on court etiquette with the air of someone who has done this a thousand times. Open to any age, accent, or gender.
