The Rivers: A Sims 2 VO series: Season 1B and season 2 CASTING CALL.

DISCLAIMERS: 

1. 1. Since revealing details about some of these characters that won’t appear until season 2 spoils what happens in season 1, I will not be disclosing specific information about every character needing casting. Instead, I will group them together into ‘Girls’ and ‘Boys’. 

2. 2. The characters don’t have a particular tone, accent, ethnicity or race you need to take into consideration before voicing, so any voice would do. The appearance of the pictured sims you see can be changed to better match the voice of the chosen VA if needed.

3. 3. If I find that you fit a character, I will then contact you and give you details about them. If you’re interested, the part is yours! If not, I could suggest another character (assuming there’s any other characters left to cast/you fit another character as well).

4. 4. There is no deadline for SOME of the characters. I will cast the first VA I find fits the role of at least ⅗ of the female characters (excluding Ms Williams) listed below. This is because these characters appear in episode 14, the episode next in line to be filmed, so I need to cast them ASAP. So, I’m letting y’all know from the get go, if you want to audition you should do it ASAP. That said, I’m not in any rush to cast ⅖ of the remaining female characters, as well as the 2/2 male characters, so the casting call won’t close anytime soon. Let’s say the deadline will be...AUGUST 2019 (in 3 months).

• WHEN TO EXPECT A SCRIPT: There are up to five (and counting!) female characters added in season 1 and 2, with 3 out of these characters added in episode 14 alone. So, for some of you, you’ll be getting a script right after getting casted; for others, it’ll be 9 months to a year, or even more than that depending on when your character appears. I’ll go into more specific expected dates if casted.

• WHEN TO EXPECT A SCRIPT: So far only two male characters are being added to the cast of The Rivers, both of which won’t appear until season 2. So you shouldn’t expect a script before at least 6 months from when this casting call is published (May 2019).

DISCLAIMER:

• Ms. Williams is a recast: meaning that she already has a brilliant current (soon to be previous) VA that has a certain tone to her voice. Accordingly, I’m going to ask for the people auditioning to give their best take on lines that have already been said by the previous character in hopes of finding a replacement VA that best matches or is similar to the voice of the current VA.

• That said, I’m not asking for an imitation of the previous VA. Every VA has a special touch to them and I’d never want to take that away from someone who’s auditioning, I just want the transition from old to new VA to be a smooth one and for it not to be too distracting to the audience watching. So it would be ideal for the person auditioning to draw inspiration from the current VA while also giving their own personal take on the character. (which is why I included the references).

- The character is a supporting character (so far appearing in only 4/10 episodes). She’s expected to be featured in a similar number of episodes in the following season.
- She is the mother of Ezra Williams, a major character who’s engaged to Tresor Rivers.
- She's in her mid 50s, is white and has a low range of voice.
- She comes from a family of politicians and is very passionate about keeping this family legacy alive through her only son. She’ll stop at nothing to get what she wants, even if it means compromising her son’s happiness and future with his fiance. She is ruthless, cold and stubborn. People who watch The Rivers usually refer to her as satan. Lol.

• WHEN TO EXPECT THE SCRIPT: Since Vanillecrescentx, her current VA, has agreed to carry on voicing the role of Ms Williams until the end of the first season (which won’t be until December 2019), you shouldn’t expect a script for at least six months from when this casting call is published (May 2019). Auditions will stay open until NOVEMBER 2019 in 6 months. or until I find the VA that best matches her voice (so could be longer than the set deadline, but could also be sooner)
