HERE WE GO!
INTRODUCTION:
Hello! For those of you who don't know me already, I'm Pudgeyhamster, and I'm the Writer/Director/Producer of the Youtube Machinima webseries The Adventures of Fireteam Zeta. This here is the open casting call for the sequel series, The Return of Fireteam Zeta.
PROJECT SYNOPSIS:Cade and Fireteam Zeta find themselves thrown into another conflict of epic proportion; A brand new faction, known as the NEW COVENANT, led by the dastardly LORD KHOVU, launches an attack on a secret UNSC base, bringing yet another team of Spartans into the fray, Captain SCOTT STORMS and his FIRETEAM DELTA. It's up to these rag tag group of Spartans to put a stop to Khovu, and prevent the galaxy from sprawling out into another great war.
PRODUCTION OVERVIEW:I'm really really excited to get this going! The production of the second season is going to be a lot slower than the first, because I’m a conservatory student now- giving me a lot less time to actually work on it. Which is fine, but that means there's going to be a lot bigger time gaps in-between episodes.
The next installment of this series is definitely going to be a different experience then the first- Currently plan for there to be nine episodes adopting a much more soulful, character driven narrative than before. There's going to be a ton more side characters along the way, but these 12 that I've listed here are all very prominent and very featured throughout the whole show, and all are going to have wonderful moments to shine, and I can't wait for these guys to have voices. They deserve it.
REQUIREMENTS AND MISC. CASTING INFO:Have a discord, and a relatively okay sounding microphone. That's all I need! Absolutely no requirements of a resume, reel, or any past experience. Just audition! Do keep in mind though- for every single principle character, I will be hosting LIVE RECORDING SESSIONS, where the entire cast gets together and reads through the script with me. It's so fun, and makes all the performances that much more genuine and real. So be ready to record lines live! I'll be able to work with any time zone given to me- so just make sure you have a few hours set aside every few months to record the next episode.
For the characters themselves, I've listed detailed descriptions of their personality and a little bit about what I imagine their voice to sound like, what I'm really looking for is how you can really take a choice and make the character your own.
Every listed character has a gender, but if a character you want to audition for doesn't match your gender identity- AUDITION ANYWAY! I'm completely open to gender-bends and such, all it'll take it a few name changes.
Lastly: I'd think it's a pretty good idea to watch the first season in it's enterity before auditioning, not only do you get to see my style of writing and storytelling, you also get to see the tone and the way the characters work! I very heavily recommend!

Charismatic and charming, Scott Storms is the leader of Fireteam Delta and a decorated veteran of the spartan program. A very old friend to both Cade and Dominic, Scott is a deeply compassionate soul, and he’s very warm and caring to everyone around him. Despite his charming demeanor, he's got this tragic, guilty layer beneath him, and because of it, he preaches nonviolence and will always try to find a peaceful solution to a problem. Being the approachable and lovable guy he is, he should sound very open, warm, and smooth.

(Responding to somebody calling him 'sir') Please, no formalities here. Don't call me that. While I'm your new boss, don't waste your 'sirs' on me. You can just call me Scott.
We've been active for a few years now. Not too long after your guy's presumed deaths, actually. We've been working from the Prestige while we get a more permanent base of operations going. You guys left a pretty big hole in everything when you disappeared.
(Calm, firm) We're both trapped right now, you and me. The best shot we have to get out of here alive is for the two of us to work together. I'm not going to hurt you. I promise.
Oldest member on both teams, and second in command to Storms, Jefferson used to be an ODST, serving in the great war alongside the Master Chief himself. He’s grumbly and gruff, usually very pessimistic and emotionally closed off. Anytime he lets himself show emotion, it's going to be anger. He’s not exactly an asshole, but he's cold and untrusting to a fault. He's brimming with deep war trauma he doesn’t want to show. He should sound noticeably older and more gravely than the other Spartans.

(Matter-of-factly; pointing a shotgun in someone's face.) You hear that? That was the sound of my safety switching off, splitjaw.
If things go south, we do this my way.
(Pissed) Are you kidding me? He's an elite. An ALIEN. It's insane we agreed to help him in the first place. Do you have any idea how many humans his people killed?
Taking the role of a secondary antagonist, Diego is Dominic's older brother. A gruesomely efficient killer, He’s petty, antagonistic, and is very sadistic and cruel to his enemies. He gets this awful kick from inflicting harm on others. His favorite target for this cruel behavior has always been his brother, leading to a long history of bad blood between the two. He should sound similar to his brother, but should sound a lot more untrustworthy and snake-like. In the same way a lot of these kind of sociopathic people are, he should be able to sound kind and charming at first, but be able to switch into a much darker and sadistic tone. Diego will be VERY prevalent in the future of the story.

Damov is the explosives specialist on the team. He’s a gentle giant, with a great sense of humor, and a hearty laugh that could fill up an entire room. He is full of so much love for the people in his life, and is very protective over his friends, whom he considers his family. He's extremely kind and wise and serves as the anchor for everyone in the team. All around a lovely person, he ends up getting along with most everybody. He should sound warm, and I imagine him having a thick slavic accent of some kind. Dealers’ choice.

(Trying to comfort a friend by telling a story) My friend, when my family's farm was attacked by the Covenant, I was 9. My grandmother took the shotgun off the mantle of the fireplace, placed it into my tiny little hands; and said. "Ivan. My son. It is your time to fight now."
Paxton is the battle medic, she’s fierce and intense. She doesn't take bullshit from anybody, and really couldn't care less about sparing people's feelings, which can end up coming across as very blunt. A lot of the time she feels like she's the only thing holding the team together, which a lot of the time is true. She’s deeply compassionate and caring for the people around her, though that gives her a serious temper, nothing gets her more pissed off then not being able to do anything. She’s got very firm ideals in what’s right and wrong, and is absolutely willing to disobey orders to do what’s right. She should sound very confident and powerful, having a very clear and strong cadence to her voice.

(Blunt, matter-of-factly) I don't know. They just plopped you here on my operating table without telling me much. My guess is just about as good as yours.
(Beginning to get annoyed) Don't think you heard me right. Don't move.
(Tense, frustrated) Oh no, nononononono. you’re not going anywhere. Do you see how much blood just came out of you? Christ, man! Stay here.
Wagner is brilliant. Responsible for the designs of some of the deadliest weapons in the UNSC, He’s very good at what he does, and he knows it. Though, this leads to him being quite snobby and pretentious. A lot of the time he's being rude to others to make himself feel better about his own insecurities. He’s a snitch and a suck up, always following regulation and the rules, adopting a very flawed black-and-white view of things. He should sound nasally, and very very punchable.

(Stuck up, Pretentious) Well, if you went and paid attention, you'd see I'm trying to optimize the solar power source that feeds the whole base. I've noticed that the sub-flux capacitor has been bottlenecking the power array. If I leave it like this, it could be quite a problem to our power output. Really quite simple, actually. But, that's okay. Basic mechanics isn't for everyone.
(Furious, Vengeful) You hear that? I’m going to have you court martialed. As of today, You’re gone. GONE!
(Through a pained sigh) Do you have anything important to tell me or can I get back to my work?
Youngest member of both teams, Charlie is fresh out of training and very eager to get out on the field. She’s a hothead, ready to run head first into danger without a plan. She’s in awe of the other Spartans and she wants to be just like them. She’s nice, but impatient. She's got a deep desire to prove herself to the others around her, so that can lead to her making very brash choices in the heat of the moment. She begins to grow a bond to Jefferson. She should sound young, bubbly and inexperienced. Not someone who's really gone through the horrors of war yet.

(Bubbly, Excited) There you guys are! How was the fight? Was it cool?
(Frustrated) Why won’t you let me go out there? I’m ready! I’ve been through the training! I have met literally every quota you’ve set for me.
(Stubborn, Confident) You're wrong, sir. Show me what I need to do, and I'll do it. Point me at an obstacle, I'll get over it. Hell, shoot me and I'll keep moving. I want this, sir. And I'm not going to let anybody stop me. Not you, not Fischer, not the New Covenant, not anything.
The new main antagonist of the series, Larger than life, Khovu is the leader of the NEW COVENANT, and has a hatred for the human race more than anything. He’s prideful and boastful to a fault, and can be very snarky and egotistical often. He’s commanded by a mythical figure called ‘The Great One’, and will do anything to enact it's will. He should sound big, menacing, and evil to a comically ridiculous degree. Think Megatron. (Pronounced Koh-voo)

(Bold, BOASTFUL!) So, you dare to challenge me? You dare challenge the great LORD KHOVU? Trial by death it is! May thy blade strike true!
(Snarling) Your groveling is wasted on me, Vesa. Our plans aren't progressing fast enough. The Great One demands examples. The Great One demands Results!
Do not fail me. Lest you want to be an example too.
Always competing for second command with N'Thiko, Vesa is a spineless, treacherous snake whose only interest is his own well being, and he would throw his allies under the bus in an instant if it means he will live. He’s been aspiring to be in charge of the new covenant for a long time, and would be willing to sacrifice anything... and anyone to take it. He should sound have a very nasally and grating voice- think Starscream from TFP. (Pronounced Vay-sah)

(Delicously evil...) Humans... so weak, so fragile... Yet you think you're the ones meant to inherit the stars.
(Flabbergasted) I'm your most loyal officer, my Lord! You know I'm the best choice for this position!
(Sniveling, Gleeful) Oh, it's such a shame the building suddenly, and tragically collapsed, claiming you, the Spartans, and all the technology in the rubble. Your sacrifice won't be in vain...
If Vesa is Khovu’s right hand man, N’Thiko is his iron fist. Mysterious and silent, N’Thiko is a skilled and feared warrior, and a cunning assassin. He has strong moral values and puts honor before anything else when it comes to a fight. He disagrees with a lot of Khovu’s methods and ideals, for he sees it as dishonorable. Deep down, N’Thiko is waiting for a true leader to step forward. He should have a deep and powerful voice that commands respect. Think Kevin Conroy or Keith David. (Pronounced En-Thee-Co)

(About to go in for the kill) Fear not, Spartan. You fought well. I shall make your death quick and honorable.
(Scoffing) Please. You're about as loyal as a snake is to a rat.
(Firm, Important) Look within yourself. You know it to be true. There's so much about your past you don't understand.
Gresga isn't really smart. He is decently naive and all too trusting, making him a great choice of henchman for Vesa. Gresga deep down just wants people to like him, but he isn't very popular among the ranks of the New Covenant. This leads to him normally following whatever Vesa and Khovu have to say out of a fear of being rejected. He should sound fun, like some sort of 40's gangster. (Pronounced Grees-gah)
(Absent-minded) So... what are we doing again?
(Slowly realizing) Wait... If I loosen the handcuffs... you can work faster! Yeah!
(Accepting his fate) It doesn't matter. I don't even care. I bet they won't even notice I'm gone. Vesa's going to make sure of that.
Lozo is a monstrous, hulking brute, and the strongest member of the New Covenant. Due to a head injury, he only speaks in very small words, and different grunts. So he's not stupid, quite the opposite, actually. He just can't articulate what he's thinking, leading him to get frustrated often. This won't be an extremely vocal role. (Pronounced Loh-Zoh)
(Affermative and responsive grunts)
(More battle like, fighting grunts)
