The Puma Cheiftess
Project Overview
The Puma Cheiftess is an upcoming animated passion project that features women empowerment with hints to a variety of Native American cultures. It focuses on the main heroine, Sakari, as she journeys with her past and challenges the rules that held back the hope in her heart!
**AGES 16-25**
You can audition for however many roles you wish! Please, make sure your audio is clear! No background noise or heavy white noise! Make sure you have a Discord account!

She has been effected by her past in a negative way. Her past memories aren't as vivid due to her mind coping from the trauma.
(Dull) "Perhaps you just need to blame yourself. After all, trying to fight on your own is pointless."
(Sarcastic) "Honestly, your even more unlucky than a porcupine's left foot."
(Lonely) I've never laughed before...at least since I can remember. If I try to look back, my memory, comes in swift waves of grief...and I don't know why *long pause* but for some reason it makes me feel whole. I miss it.

Pronounced: Ka-i (Kai)
She loves exploring and believes the world is full of wonder. She loves her family and considers tradition to be stifling.
(Playful) “Hurry up Kai, you slowpoke! The forest can’t wait!”
(Mischievous) “Maybe, we should sneak out and bring back a rabbit! That’ll prove we are old enough!”
(Annoyed) “You’re sure we can’t go by ourselves, just once? How come we can’t have any fun at all?”

Pronounced: Ta-bore-e (Taborri)
Pronounced: Sa-car-e (Sakari)
She loves Taborri and her daughter, Sakari, her loyalty towards Taborri isn't due to tradition. It's because she really does love him regardless of her role in his life.
(Wise) "Now, Sakari you must remember that we are the example. Our relationship with the earth and all living creatures must be one of respect."
(Loving towards Taborri) "Dear, you have a leaf on your head...*holding in a laugh* Taborri you truly are wonderful.
(Anger) "No, you do not get to make the decision. I only support you because the past chief brought you into this tribe, and because the current chief cares for you. However, you will not use the past to manipulate our future!"
Pronounced: Ta-bore-e (Taborri)
He wants to change the tribe’s past. He runs his tribe with a kind and just heart.
(Understanding with a hint of playfulness) “I know, I know, but if I recall…someone I knew, once acted the same way.”
(Amusing) *Small chuckle* “I thought you said I was louder than a herd of stampeding elk getting chased by a pack of cackling coyotes.”
(Kind hearted) “You don’t need a large group of creatures to be a leader. You only need to be compassionate and wise, they will follow and listen.”
Pronounced: Koo-rook
He was adopted into a puma tribe when he was young, Nina, Taborri, and he grew up like childhood friends. He despises humans.
(Bitter) “You’ll never understand the true threats outside our territory.”
(Anger with hints of abandonment issues) “Why do you ridicule me? Have I not been loyal enough to this tribe? I’d never do anything to hurt our reputation!”
(Solemn) “Don’t you think it is foolish for you to have such dreams? It’s inappropriate for your future to be so immature.”
Pronounced: Ka-i
He has grown up to be clever and standoffish due to his environment being toxic.
(Irritated) “Why won’t you just listen? Don’t you care to hear what’s happened? Fine, if you don’t want to leave then stay…I even know you anymore.”
(Playful/ being coy) “I’m not saying you haven’t gained any hunting experience living out here, on the prairie. But, I could easily find you with my eyes closed. You can’t hide from me.”
(Serious/ sympathetic) “Sakari, listen, I never thought for a moment you were weak. If you blame yourself, fine I get it, but do not think for a second you’re alone. It’s ok…it’ll be ok.”

He is Sakari's friend, they love to go on adventures that more often than not result in mischief.
(Playful) *Laughing* “I’m too fast Sakari! You’re going to have to run faster to catch me!”
(Proud) “Make way, I Kai of The Tribe of Taborri, have found a superb bounty to prove our worth!”
(Worried) “I…don’t think we should go any further. I can’t smell anything familiar and all I can hear is the coming storm…come on let's go back home.”
Pronounced: Loo-ta
He is a spitfire prairie dog.
(Sarcastic) “Oh yeah, you’re right! Just because I’m small doesn’t mean I can’t be as strong as a bear! I just threw my back out trying to catch you!”
(Sarcastic annoyance) “Oh I know, why don’t you just swim all the way back to whatever wood hole you came out of. *Muttering* Trying to act like you're better just because you can walk on the land and swim in the river.”
Pronounced: La-co-ta
He is an anxious and socially awkward spotted skunk.
(Nervous) “I…really shouldn’t have agreed to this…shouldn’t we just give her to someone other than us.”
(Protective worry) “You really shouldn’t be by yourself. The open fields aren’t safe, they are too…open.”
Pronounced: Do-no-ma
She is a puma in The Tribe of Taborri. She is fond of Tallulah.
(Stern) “I know your mother cleared you to explore…but please be cautious.”
(Protective verging on the lines of violence) “Do..not.. TOUCH HER, STAY AWAY. Don’t you dare even speak her name or you won’t see the light of the sun ever again!”
Pronounced: Tal-lu-la
She is a kind puma in The Tribe of Taborri, and she is fond of Donoma.
(Happy) “Oh, hello, how are you on this wonderfully beautiful day? I was just about to go view the new goslings..do..you want to join me?”
(Calming and loving) “Isn’t this nice, the water is always cool when the snow gets melted by the sun. This means spring isn’t too far away! Maybe my affections towards the change…is because it reminds me of you….*small laugh* but that’s silly, huh?”
Pronounced: Trick-zee
The crazy youngest sister of the coyote sisters.
(Wild) *crazy laugher* “I’m too fast, you’d have to be speedier than a pronghorn to catch me!”
(Chaotic and fearful) “you shouldn’t underestimate me! I’m not weak, wolves cower at the sight of me, HAHAHAHAA”
Pronounced: Tie-va
The smart middle child of the coyote sisters.
(Clever and harsh) “How about you step back and look at yourself in a puddle. If you compare your reflection in it, it’ll allow you to see how punny you really are.”
(Hopeful) “I…believe that if we are all together then…surely happiness will follow. Don’t you agree…sisters?”

Pronounced: Trick-zee (Trixxi)
Pronounced: Tie-va (Tiva)
The skillful eldest sister of the coyote sisters.
(Over protective) “Be careful, make sure you watch out for pumas, this is tribe territory. I don’t want you to get caught up in that mess.”
(Structured) “Hey! Tiva, Trixxi, stop it! Come on now, focus, he isn't going to be pleased with us this time.”
(Quiet opinion) "I think the elk are taking a different migration route, there haven't been signs of the herds for weeks."
Pronounced: Ha-lone-a (Halona)
Pronounced: Ka-i (Kai)
The mother of Kai. She loves her son and is doing the best she can.
(Tired) "Kai...get in here you little rascal. What am I going to do with you?
(Worry) "KAI! Where were you?! I was so worried you crazy cub, don't ever do that again!"
Pronounced: A-pon-e
Pronounced: Ker-ease
He is a young ambitious puma in the Tribe of Taborri and Aponi's best friend.
(Confident) "Aponi, one day I'm going to rule the forest! If the Chief asks, you heard nothing *Small laugh*."
