The Mysterious Pipe (Short Fan Animation)(The Amazing Digital Circus)
Project Overview
Hello there and welcome!
My name is Retro, and I am the owner of Lightbolt Imageworks, a project aiming to bring both fan-made and original content to life. This is an idea that I have had for a while now, but I have only recently put it into action.
To debut Lightbolt and tease its many planned upcoming projects, I've decided to produce a short animated skit based on The Amazing Digital Circus by Glitch Productions. At the end of the day, as of now, I am a one-man band with a few helping hands, and this animation was my first time getting back into producing keyed animation in Blender after a few years.
With that said, I wanted to start strong and create a short little animation with two of the Digital Circus characters, Cane and Pomni, getting into a little trouble when Pomni is discovered using a mysterious pipe on the circus grounds. This animation is a parody of the crack scene from Family Guy Season 5 Episode 10, where Peter is discovered by Brian to be using crack to Brian's shock.
For those familiar with Glitch Productions and its cast members, before you say anything, I am fully aware that I could commission some of the original voice actors to voice for this fan animation, but here is why I haven't taken that route as of now.
First of all, I've only just started with this new endeavor, and I want to build my following first before getting into hiring big names to be in my projects. Second, I want to give those smaller voice actors a chance to grow their following and make their presence known by being featured in this short animation.
Regarding the future of my fan animations surrounding The Amazing Digital Circus, I am open to bringing back any of the selected candidates for this animation to voice for future fan animations. This animation is estimated to be roughly 20 seconds long, which, while it's short, I wanted to use this project as a proof of concept that can help pave the way towards bigger, more ambitious fan animations made under the Lightbolt brand.
On this page, I've provided a demo of the final fan animation. This is primarily a dubbing job that will require actors to dub over the footage and placeholder voices I've done for the video. This is a paid role, and I do intend to pay the selected talent for this and future projects.
With all of that out of the way, I am super excited to work with many awesome talents on this and other upcoming projects on the Lightbolt Imageworks YouTube channel.

Bombastic and eccentric, Cane is the ring master of this twisted digital world. With a voice of gold, he could say anything, and it would sound grand. However, don't get on his bad side, he won't hesitate to do away with you.
