The Maze Runner: A Minecraft Roleplay

Genten (pronounced Gehn-ten) is the main character of this series!

With that being said, he is a very important character and has a huge responsibility tied to him -- for him, we are searching for someone who is very active (within reason) and can express emotions without sounding too forced. 

Genten, upon getting sent to The Glade, is very curious and almost demanding; he craves to know everything about why he was sent and how everything works in the area. Genten is sarcastic, curious, dismissive, and demanding. He does not have a specific accent, but one would imagine he would sound a bit dry. Genten is the greenie.

** Angela is the only female resident of this roleplay; this is not subject to change! Hurry and audition for her while there is time. **

Angela is considered a main character -- she comes in around episode three!

Not only was Angela the first female to breach the surface of The Glade, but she was downright beautiful -- the men couldn't bear to take their eyes off of her. While she warmed up to her surroundings, the men collectively decided that they would become her protectors; she quickly proved to them that their actions would not be necessary. 

Angela is assertive, quick-witted, physically strong, hard-headed, and confident in her abilities. She does make sure the boys know that she doesn't actually hate them all, though.

Dante is considered a main character.

Dante's character will be portrayed by Rylie, the director! :))

Dante is, what one might refer to as, comedic relief. In tense situations, Dante always has some outrageous joke in his pack pocket. He is Genten's "guide" throughout the series, helping him figure out what is happening around him. He is the main runner of The Glade.

Dante speaks cooly, lowly, with a bit of a frat boy accent, and has a fun time doing so!

Ray is one of the main characters in this series!

Ray is the founder of The Glade — he is the first person who was sent there, and the “leader” of everything. He is very experienced and all-knowing but acts like he knows more than he genuinely does. He is one of the most important characters in this series, so this role does require a professional actor who is willing to commit to such a role. 

Ray is dismissive, blunt, funny, and a guy with good intentions. 

Travis is considered a side character.

Travis is one of the cooks for The Glade. While he isn't a main character, he is still very important!

Travis is chill, observant, a kind of quiet.

Jaxon is the gardener of The Glade — he has the most experience with this, seeing as he was never asked to do anything else. He arrived a month before Genten was sent down, so he is also fairly unaware of the circumstances and whereabouts of The Glade and the maze in its entirety. Jaxon is considered a main character! Jaxon’s voice sounds like he’s a bit confused at all times, but very easy-going and smooth. He has a lot of dry humor responses that aren’t delivered as if he finds them funny. He is very comforting, but also gets easily aggravated. 

Jacob is one of the cooks for The Glade. He is considered a side character!

Jacob is severely soft-spoken but has moments of confidence. When Genten first arrives at The Glade, he is automatically drawn towards Jacob due to his soft, kind aura. Jacob is mainly seen preparing food items for the people of The Glade or conversing with Dante about what to prepare for the next meal. 

When you audition for Jacob, make sure you capture his kind nature while also keeping in mind that he can be stern and outspoken. 

Wesland is a gardener for The Glade. He is considered a side character.

Wesland specializes in farming wheat; he knows how to do pretty much everything in The Glade, but is unfortunately stuck with helping the gardeners out. Per Ray's request, he was assigned to make sure everything was planted properly and in a timely manner. Wesland and Ray do not get along very well.

His voice is very matter-of-fact, and he won't shy away from making sure you know that you are doing something incorrect. 

Taron is one of the Runners for The Glade. He is considered a side character.

Taron is, undeniably, the most hot-headed of the group. He is quick to jump to conclusions, seeing as that is what he was trained to do whilst running the maze. He is very good friends with Ray but likes to take his anger out on him. There is never a time of day that he isn't overthinking and making everyone's lives a living hell. 

Hostile Person is considered a side character.

This character is going to be an aggressive civilian who just exited the maze -- he got stung by a Griever, so his emotions are clouded and he becomes violent with Genten. He appears in the first episode only!

This character is required to scream and yell; if you are auditioning for him, make sure your microphone can withstand loud noises! You must have a clear microphone and editing process to make sure the lines can still be easily understood. 

This role is one of, if not the most important role that is to be given in this production! This role is for people who don't want to be responsible for a main character -- these are side characters that only occasionally pop up in the episodes. 

To be a side character, you will also be considered a body actor for your character. You are going to be required to make your character's backstory and personality if you are accepted! There is a deadline for submitting your character.

This is a very important role in the production of this series! For each episode, you are going to aid in writing the script. You must have Java Edition of Minecraft and be comfortable with being on voice chat occasionally to discuss builds!

Depending on the map we decide we want to work with, we will need a couple of builders to create some pieces of the set! This is a very important role in the production of this series! This role is a last-minute effort to see if anyone would be generous enough to be the host of the server! This is not a required role, but it would greatly help the production of this roleplay.

There is no proper audition for this role -- if you are interested, just add me on Discord (sheisthem00n) to confirm that you would like to do it. 

You will be in charge of purchasing the server for us to use for this roleplay if you wish to be the server host! If you are so kind as to do this for us, you are also allowed to create your own side character, have lines with that side character, be credited in the description of each video, and be allowed to partake in building sessions, if you would like!

If you love getting creative and putting your best foot forward to get videos looking fun and professional, we would love to have you as our intro and outro maker! It would be something simple, cute, and something that captures the vibes of the roleplay. In order to audition, you must fill out the Google Forms -- I will get back to you upon viewing submissions to let you know if you have been accepted. This would need to be some sort of animation or something super creative and eye-catching, so please keep this in mind when you audition.
