The Lunarch Inquisition - Magic Story Audio Drama
Project Overview
As the madness of the angels continues and spreads into the Lunarch Council, the two cathar leaders, Odric and Thalia, are struggling to navigate the waters between loyalty to Avacyn's church and devotion to all the church represents.
As Wizards of the Coast continues to release their weekly Magic Story updates, it is our goal to bring these stories to life through audio. This week's story heavily features Thalia, a major player on Innistrad, as well as many minor cathars and bishops. One of these bishops may even be the leader of a demon-worshipping cult! We'll just have to see... You can read this week's full story here:

An elder soldier, sad to be attacking an old friend, but following orders. A capable soldier, but weak-willed.
You're going to have to kill me, apostate...
Guardian of the Holy City of Thraben. Protector of the innocent. She has very strong convictions about protecting her people and will not betray her conscience. She is strong-willed, capable, and willing to stand against any foe.
[Angry, vindicated] Do you hear yourself? You think the angels are angry because we tolerate sin in our midst? Odric, the angels are supposed to protect us, not burn our villages to the ground. And we're supposed to protect children, not burn them at the stake! You really think this is what Avacyn wants from us?
[Exhausted, feeling guilty for sins past] Did I do the right thing, Odric?
I serve the principles that Avacyn stands for—that she used to stand for. I serve the soft light of the moon that holds back the terrors of the night. I serve the bonds between us, driving out the fear that would break us apart. I serve the holiness we all aspire to. If she has turned against those things, then she is no better than a demon, and I can no longer serve Avacyn and her church.
A bishop on the Lunarch Council. Sniveling, timid, and subservient to the head of the council Jerren, whom Thalia has come to accuse of heresy.
We are still waiting for your evidence.
It is clearly a forgery.
It seems to me there is only one heretic in this room.
A young cathar trained by Odric. Strong and capable. Feeling slightly guilty for having to attack his former teacher, but willing to follow orders.
Stop where you stand, Lunarch Marshal. [sounding almost apologetic] Bishop Jerren's orders.
The bishop expected this treachery from you, and wants you—all three of you—returned to the council chamber.
Head bishop of the Lunarch Council. Also, if Thalia is to be believed, leader of the Skirsdag - a demon worshipping cult in direct opposition of the church he leads. He is smug, arrogant, simpering. Willing to hear Thalia's testimony only because he knows he controls the council and wants to watch her fail.
The business of the Lunarch Council is not to be interrupted.
But we are in a charitable mood. What business do you bring before the council?
Of course it's impossible.
A bishop of the Lunarch Council. Doubtful of Thalia's claims that the head bishop Jerren is a heretic, but willing to see the evidence.
Show us this so-called evidence.
What say you to this, Jerren?
