The Lost Souls - Season 1
Project Overview
The Lost Souls is a story-driven cinematic Minecraft series that blends mystery, psychological horror, and character drama. Set fifteen years after a tragic incident in 1987, it follows a group of people drawn back to a shuttered family pizzeria to unravel the dark secrets left behind. The series builds on the eerie legacy of a small town’s unsolved disappearances and the lingering presence of haunted animatronics, creating a rich narrative where human emotions and supernatural forces collide.
In The Lost Souls, atmosphere and character are paramount. The story unfolds in a world of flickering neon and dusty arcades, where each creaking floorboard and distant mechanical whir adds to a steady sense of dread. Rather than relying on cheap jump scares, the series focuses on psychological horror and emotional stakes. Viewers will follow complex characters – from a guilt-ridden brother searching for answers to a relentless journalist chasing the truth – as they confront personal trauma and long-buried secrets. Every animatronic encounter and mysterious clue is woven with emotional weight, driving the characters (and audience) deeper into the heart of the mystery.
This project is a volunteer-based collaboration, powered by a small team of passionate creators. We are committed to crafting a high-quality, cinematic Minecraft experience that stands out for its storytelling and production value. All roles are unpaid and purely for the love of the craft – we’re looking for dedicated voice actors and team members who are excited to contribute to an indie series with professional standards. Reliability, open communication, and creative teamwork are core values in our production; together, we aim to bring The Lost Souls to life and deliver a compelling series for audiences to enjoy.
In joining The Lost Souls, you become part of a supportive creative team dedicated to a shared passion for storytelling. Our goal is to maintain a positive, respectful environment as we collaborate to complete Season 1. The series will be produced in episodes (to be released online) with a focus on consistency and quality. If you’re excited by a dark mystery with heart, set in a nostalgic Minecraft sandbox, and are eager to work with a team of like-minded creatives, then we welcome you to audition and join us on this journey into the world of The Lost Souls. Let’s create something special together!
Role: Lead Antagonist
The SoulJason Miller (Age 8)
Jason adored his older brother.
Matthew was his hero. His best friend. The person who tied his shoes, carried him home when he fell asleep, and promised birthdays would always be fun.
On his eighth birthday, Matthew looked away for just a moment.
Jason never made it home.
Fifteen years trapped inside Freddy have twisted that love into something possessive. Jason still believes Matthew loves him. He also believes Matthew should never leave him again.
Core EmotionAbandonment
Jason isn't driven by hatred.
He's driven by the terror of being left behind.
Every loss since his death reinforces one thought:
"Everyone leaves."
So now...
He doesn't let people leave.
Animatronic BehaviorFreddy rarely attacks immediately.
He watches.
He waits.
He herds people exactly where he wants them, patiently cornering them before striking. His movements are deliberate, almost protective—as if he's guiding someone home instead of hunting them.
When Matthew is nearby, Freddy's aggression changes. He becomes hesitant, conflicted, almost childlike. He'll stand motionless for long periods simply watching his brother, unable to decide whether to embrace him... or make sure he never leaves again.
Toward the other spirits, Freddy acts as an older brother and quiet leader. They naturally follow him, not because he commands them, but because they trust him.
Voice DescriptionAn eight-year-old boy whose innocence never disappeared—it simply became distorted.
His voice should be soft, gentle, and almost comforting.
Never shout unless absolutely necessary.
The scariest moments should sound like a child asking a perfectly innocent question... in completely the wrong context.
Think:
Quiet.
Patient.
Lonely.
Comforting.
Emotionally devastating rather than monstrous.

"You can stay with us..."
"Did you forget?" (long pause) "Or... did you stop loving me?"
"You were supposed to protect me!" (voice rises for the first time) "That's what big brothers do!"
The Soul: Fritz Johnson
The Animatronic: Foxy the Pirate
Core Emotion: Isolated Fear
Character Identity & Lore
Fritz Johnson is the forgotten child. Found on the scrubbed party list alongside Michael, Fritz was likely isolated from the main group when Harmon took him. As a spirit, Fritz is deeply traumatized and terrified. He hides within Foxy, mirroring how he felt in his final moments. He is the first to be communicated with because his fear makes his signal the loudest.
Animatronic Behavior
Adrian warns Matthew not to stand under Foxy because the elbow joint “holds a grudge.” In reality, Foxy rarely leaves the stage. Fritz’s fear manifests as erratic, dangerous spasms—violent lashing out driven not by malice, but by sheer panic. Because Fritz is terrified of Molten Freddy in the vents, Foxy’s hardware often acts as an unintentional detector: when Harmon is near, Foxy’s jaw chatters and his servos whine in distress

“Is... is someone there? I can hear you, but I can’t see you... Please, don’t come any closer.”
“Stay back! I’m warning you... I don’t want to hurt anyone, but I’m scared and I can’t help it!”
“I just want to go home... I want my mom. Please... why won’t anybody come for me?”
Nightlight Bonnie / Michael Brooks
Role: Supporting / Antagonist
The SoulMichael Brooks
Michael was the oldest of the missing children. He believed the adults would protect them. They didn't.
He spent fifteen years trapped inside Nightlight Bonnie, watching the world move on while everyone forgot their names. Time has twisted his grief into something colder. He no longer trusts adults—especially those who pry open Bonnie's body as if it's just another machine.
Core EmotionRageful Betrayal
Michael isn't angry because he died.
He's angry because everyone lied to him.
Parents.
Police.
The owner.
The employees.
Every adult promised they'd keep children safe, and none of them did.
Animatronic BehaviorBonnie becomes openly hostile whenever adults repair or dismantle him.
Opening his chest cavity feels invasive—as though strangers are cutting into his body without permission. He lashes out through sudden movements, distorted speech, mechanical failures, and violent attempts to stop anyone touching him.
Children, however, he often becomes strangely calm around them.
Voice DescriptionA boy's voice worn thin by fifteen years of anger.
Soft-spoken most of the time. Quiet. Controlled.
When emotion slips through, it's heartbreak disguised as rage.
Avoid exaggerated monster voices.
The performance should feel like a child trapped in an endless nightmare—not a demon.

(Quiet teaming with Anger) "You said you'd keep us safe... Every one of you said that."
(Protective) "Don't touch him... Don't touch me."
(Voice begins childlike before becoming layered and mechanical.) "Leave..." "Leave..." "LEAVE HIM ALONE!"
The Soul: Cassidy Wright
The Animatronic: Chica
Core Emotion: Agonized Empathy

“Shh... it’s alright, I’m here. I know you’re scared, but you’re not alone, okay?"
“Oh no, you’re hurt... I—I can feel it. It’s like my own heart is breaking... I’m so sorry this happened to you.”
“If I could take your pain away, I would. Since I can’t... I’ll stay here with you as long as it takes. You won’t be alone.”
Character Identity & Lore
Charlie Harper is the ultimate tragic irony of John Harper’s empire. Charlie is John’s own blood—the twisted “success” of the pizzeria’s dark history. While John views the building and the animatronics purely as a financial asset, he is willfully blinding himself to the fact that his own kin is trapped within the cursed machinery.
Charlie’s spirit inhabits the Golden Bear (operating similarly to the Lefty model), acting as a rogue agent within the building’s ecosystem. Charlie is a vengeful protector, acutely aware of the sins of the father.
Animatronic Behavior
Unlike the main four, who are bound to the stage and the reopening efforts, Charlie operates entirely in the shadows.
The Warden: Charlie’s primary goal is to contain William Harmon. If Molten Freddy gets too close to the main floor, Charlie intervenes.
The Saboteur: Charlie actively sabotages John’s efforts to reopen. Unexplained equipment failures, system glitches that defy Adrian’s diagnostics, disruptions in the building’s carefully maintained order—these are often Charlie moving unseen, dismantling John’s controlled narrative. Charlie is waiting for the perfect moment to force John to face the monster he created.

“That’s far enough. I won’t let you go any further.”
“You think you’re in control here? (a soft, mocking laugh) How quaint. I’ve been watching, sabotaging your little plans from the shadows... and I’m not done yet.”
“You can’t hide what you’ve done. The others might not see your sins, but I do – and I’ll make sure you answer for them.”

“(Deadpan) I’m here to fix the wiring and keep these robots in one piece. Ghosts? Yeah… not exactly in my job description.”
“(Casual, exasperated) The animatronic’s not haunted, it’s just misaligned. I fix things for a living—believe me, everything’s got a blueprint.”

Age: 24
Role: The Cautious Gadgeteer / The Human-Supernatural Bridge
Profession: HVAC Specialist & Independent Tech Inventor
Pronouns: They/Them
Core Identity & Background
Alex is the youngest member of the group, a brilliant but deeply cautious HVAC specialist and freelance inventor who gets pulled into the orbit of J.R.’s Family Pizzeria. Unlike Adrian, who views machines as predictable, Alex understands that systems—especially old, neglected ones—have a “breath” and a life of their own.
They are the person Adrian calls when the standard tools fail. Alex doesn’t just fix vents; they crawl through the dark, forgotten arteries of the building, meaning they see the things the others overlook. While Frederick ignores the unsettling elements and Adrian rationalizes them, Alex is the first to actually measure them. They invent and modify gadgets that can detect anomalies, acting as the crucial bridge between the physical and the inexplicable.
Defense Mechanisms
The “Nope” Protocol
Alex has an incredibly strong sense of self-preservation. When Adrian leaves a voicemail begging them to come fix the vents, Alex’s outgoing message says it all: “If it’s making a noise, hit it, turn it off, or move away.” They do not walk blindly into danger.
Technological Buffers
Alex rarely interacts with the unsettling elements of J.R.’s directly. They prefer to view things through screens, thermal scanners, or modified EMF readers. If they can quantify something, they feel they can manage the fear.
Hyper-Awareness
Because they are younger and haven’t spent 15 years being numb to the town’s trauma, Alex is hyper-observant. They spot the tiny dangers—a frayed wire, a sudden drop in temperature, a shadow in the vents—long before anyone else does.

“For the last time, if the furnace is howling at midnight, follow my ‘Nope Protocol’: turn it off, step back, and wait for me. I’m not setting foot in there until I have the right gear (and triple hazard pay).”
“I rigged a thermal monitor to the vent intake and guess what: the temperature in that crawlspace plummeted twenty degrees in ten seconds. That’s not a mechanical glitch, that’s... something else. We might need a priest more than a wrench for this one.”
“You think I’m crawling in there without backup? No chance. I’ll send in my little rover-cam first – if it doesn’t get eaten by ghosts or giant dust bunnies, then I’ll think about following. I’m careful, not cowardly.”
