The Lego Movie Full Fandub
Project Overview
I present to you all the casting call for a Full Fandub of The animated classic "The Lego Movie"
Now this once is a bit of a Passion project to me. The Lego Movie is a movie I enjoyed ALOT as a kid, and I knew eventually that it was time.
Basic Summary of the movie:
"An ordinary LEGO figurine Emmet who always follows the rules, is mistakenly identified as an extraordinary being and the key to saving the world. He finds himself drafted into a fellowship of strangers who are on a mission to stop an evil tyrant's plans to conquer the world. Unfortunately for Emmet, he is hopelessly and hilariously unprepared for such a task, but he'll give it his all nonetheless."
A couple of things to remember BEFORE you submit your auditions:
1. It is crucial to have at least acceptable microphone quality. As long as your voice is clear, we are good to go.

Emmet Brickowski is the main protagonist of The LEGO Movie. He is an ordinary construction worker living in Bricksburg, known for his cheerful personality, optimistic outlook, and eagerness to follow instructions. At first glance, Emmet seems like an average, unremarkable minifigure, but his journey reveals that he has the potential to be creative, brave, and resourceful when it matters most. Despite not initially believing he is special, Emmet’s kindness, determination, and ability to bring people together make him a true hero. Through his adventures, he embodies the idea that even the most ordinary person can achieve extraordinary things with imagination and heart.

*Gets out of bed, yawns and stretches. He walks through to his living room greeting everything in sight* Good morning, apartment! Good morning, doorway! Good morning, wall. Good morning, ceiling. Good morning, floor! Ready to start the day! [he grabs a book from a shelf] Ah, here it is! [reading from the manual] The instructions to fit in, have everybody like you, and always be happy!
Always use the turn signal, park between the lines. *Emmet and everyone else parks in exactly the same way* Yes! Drop off dry cleaning before noon, read the headlines, don't forget to smile. *he waves and smiles to everyone as he walks down the street* Always root for the local sports team.
Always return a compliment. Hey, you look nice. Drink overpriced coffee!
Lucy, better known by her nickname Wyldstyle is a tough, independent, and creative Master Builder with a strong sense of leadership and style. Wyldstyle is known for her edgy appearance, featuring streaks of bright colours in her black hair, and her ability to think outside the box when constructing with LEGO bricks. Although she sometimes comes across as serious and guarded, she deeply cares for her friends and often acts as the voice of reason in chaotic situations. Throughout the films, Wyldstyle shows both her strength and vulnerability, proving she’s not just a skilled builder but also a loyal friend and an inspiring hero.

Your home, Bricksburg, is one of many realms in the universe. There's also this one, Pirates Cove, Knights Club, Vikings Landing, Clown Town, a bunch of others we don't need to mention. Lord Business, or as you think you know him, President Business, stole the Kragle, the most powerful object in the universe--- *As Emmet listen to her he starts seeing and hearing her in a slow dream voice* Blah, blah, blah. Proper name. Place name. Backstory stuff... I'm so pretty. I like you. But I'm angry with you for some reason.
Okay, all the people of the universe were once free to travel and mingle and build whatever they wanted. But President Business was confused by all the chaos, so he erected walls between the worlds and became obsessed with order and perfection, and he stole the mysterious secret super weapon called...
And he hired Bad Cop to hunt down all the Master Builders, who were always changing everything. Those of us who remained, well we went into hiding, built tunnels to survive. And we searched for the Piece of Resistance, the only thing that can stop the Kragle.
Vitruvius is a key character in The LEGO Movie, voiced by Morgan Freeman. He is an ancient, wise, and somewhat eccentric wizard who serves as a mentor figure to the protagonist, Emmet. Blind after an encounter with Lord Business, Vitruvius still carries himself with confidence, often leaning on his staff and offering guidance with a mix of seriousness and humor. He is the one who first introduces the prophecy about “The Special,” the person destined to save the LEGO universe from Lord Business’s oppressive rule. Despite his mystical persona, Vitruvius often reveals a playful, quirky side, and his wisdom sometimes comes in the form of odd or humorous advice. Ultimately, he represents imagination, creativity, and belief in ordinary individuals’ potential to achieve greatness.

Emmet, you had a vision. Master Builders spend years training themselves to clear their minds enough to have even a fleeting glimpse of The Man Upstairs. And yet, your mind is already so prodigiously empty that there is nothing in it to clear away in the first place. With proper training, you could become a great Master Builder.
The prophecy chose you, Emmet.
All you have to do is to believe, then you will see everything.
Batman in The LEGO Movie is a hilarious, exaggerated parody of the iconic DC superhero. Voiced by Will Arnett, this version of Batman is brooding, overly self-confident, and obsessed with being “dark” and “edgy,” yet he often comes across as ridiculous and self-absorbed. He constantly brags about his skills, gadgets, and coolness, while also poking fun at his own tragic backstory. Despite his arrogance, he plays a key role in the story, helping Emmet and the other heroes save the LEGO universe. His over-the-top personality, paired with his deadpan delivery and comically dramatic songs, makes him one of the standout characters in the film.

UniKitty is a fictional character from the LEGO Movie franchise who later received her own animated television series, Unikitty! She is a colorful hybrid of a unicorn and a cat, embodying both the magical, cheerful qualities of a unicorn and the playful, curious nature of a cat. Known for her bubbly personality, optimism, and boundless energy, UniKitty is always eager to spread happiness and fight negativity. However, her emotions can swing quickly—when pushed too far, her cheerful demeanor can turn into fiery bursts of rage. As the princess of the Unikingdom, she balances her royal duties with her desire for fun and adventure, often leading her friends through imaginative and chaotic escapades.

MetalBeard is a fictional character from The LEGO Movie franchise, known as a larger-than-life pirate made almost entirely out of LEGO bricks. Once an ordinary minifigure pirate, he rebuilt himself into a towering, mechanical body after losing most of his original form in a battle with Lord Business. With a booming voice, swashbuckling personality, and an oversized body bristling with cannons, anchors, and shark decorations, MetalBeard embodies both the adventurous spirit and the comedic exaggeration of the series. He serves as one of the Master Builders, joining Emmet and the other heroes in their fight against conformity, bringing courage, loyalty, and a flair for the dramatic to their quest.

Really haaarrrrrrrd?! Wiping ye bum with a hook for a hand is "really hard". This be impossible! The last time we tried to storm Lord Business's office, we used every plan we could conceive, the result was a massacre too terrible to speak of.
The name be MetalBeard! And I'll tell you me tale of woe.
I arrived at the foot of the tower with me hearty Master Builder crew, only to find the Kragle was all the way up on the infinitieth floor guarded by a robot army. And security measures of every kind imaginable; lasers, sharks, laser sharks, overbearing assistants, and strange dangerous relics that entrap, snap, and zap! [an explosion rocks the tower and he barely escapes] And there be a mysterious room called "The Think Tank." I barely made it out of that room with just me head!... and me organs.
Benny is a lovable and energetic character from The Lego Movie, best known as the "1980-something space guy." He’s a blue LEGO astronaut whose cracked helmet reflects the wear and tear of classic LEGO space figures from the 1980s. Benny is endlessly enthusiastic about building and especially obsessed with constructing spaceships, often shouting "Spaceship!" with uncontainable excitement. Despite his quirky and slightly scatterbrained personality, he’s a loyal team member and proves to be resourceful in helping Emmet, Wyldstyle, and the others on their adventure.

Lord Business is the main antagonist of The Lego Movie, serving as the tyrannical alter ego of President Business. As the ruler of the LEGO universe, he is obsessed with control, perfection, and order, wanting everything to be built according to strict instructions rather than allowing creativity and imagination to flourish. He seeks to use a powerful superweapon called the "Kragle" to permanently freeze the world exactly how he wants it, ensuring nothing can change or deviate from his rigid vision. Beneath his intimidating armor and menacing persona, however, Lord Business is ultimately revealed to reflect the fears and controlling tendencies of a real-world father, showing that his character represents both a villain and a deeper commentary on the tension between structure and creativity.

[Lord Business bursts in sending the guards flying and does an evil laugh] Vitruvius! You've hidden the Kragle well, old man. [turning to his army of Lego robots] Robots, destroy him!
We've done some great work over the years together, Bad Cop. Capturing all those Master Builders and torturing them and what not. Although, you did let the Piece of Resistance go. The one thing that can ruin my plans, the one thing that I asked you to take care of. [he comes over to Bad Cop and puts one arm around his shoulder] That's super frustrating, y' know? It makes me just wanna pick up whoever's standing closest to me and just Throw them through this window, and out into the Infinite Abyss of Nothingness!
As you can see they're loading the Kragle into a big machine upstairs. I call it "The Tentacle Arm Kragle Outside Sprayer", or Takos! The S is silent. So on Taco Tuesday it's going to spray the Kragle over everyone and everything with a bunch of super scary nozzles, like this one. [the tentacle reaches out and comes over to Bad Cop who bends backwards trying to avoid it] I'll show you how it works.
Bad Cop is a character from The Lego Movie (2014). He serves as one of Lord Business’s main enforcers, tasked with keeping order and making sure everyone follows the strict rules of the Lego world. True to his name, Bad Cop is tough, intimidating, and ruthless when dealing with others, but he also has a lighter side thanks to his “Good Cop” personality, which is literally the other half of his face. This split persona creates moments of both humor and tension, as Good Cop is kind, supportive, and empathetic, while Bad Cop is stern and often cruel. Despite his loyalty to Lord Business, Bad Cop struggles with his conscience and ultimately plays a key role in the story’s theme of individuality and choice.

TOO BAD! [he then knocks cup off the table] Security cameras picked up this. [he shows Emmet the footage on the TV monitor next to them] You were found at the construction site convulsing with a strange piece.
I 'believe" you too. You see the quotations I'm making with my claw hands? It means I don’t believe you! [jumps onto Emmet] Why else would you show up with that thing on your back just three days before President Business is going to use the Kragle to end the world?
As Good Cop, he shows kindness and empathy, often conflicted about following Lord Business’s strict orders. This split personality makes him both a comedic character and one of the more complex figures in the story, torn between loyalty to authority and his own sense of right and wrong.

Hi, buddy! I'm your friendly neighbourhood police officer. Would you like a glass of water?
Of course, buddy. I believe you.
You'll live, you'll be fine.
Scribble Cop is an alternate version of Bad Cop/Good Cop, created after Lord Business used his Kragle to erase Bad Cop’s "Good Cop" face. Instead of balancing order and morality, Scribble Cop now has a crudely drawn-on happy face, sketched in marker by his mother. The result is both unsettling and oddly endearing—a police officer who has lost his genuine duality and replaced it with a childish, artificial version of kindness. He embodies the film’s theme of imagination, showing how even something as silly as a scribbled smile can bring warmth and humanity back to an otherwise rigid enforcer of rules.

Superman is the classic DC superhero reimagined in LEGO form, complete with his trademark blue suit, red cape, and unwavering sense of heroism. In The LEGO Movie, he’s portrayed with a light-hearted, comedic twist—confident and friendly, but also slightly exasperated by his clingy admirer, Green Lantern, who constantly tags along. Despite his immense powers, Superman often serves as comic relief, poking fun at the overly idealized image of superheroes while still embodying the charm and optimism that makes him iconic.

Green Lantern is a well-meaning but hilariously awkward member of the Justice League. In contrast to his usually heroic comic-book counterpart, this version is overly eager, clingy, and desperate to be liked—especially by his idol, Superman, who clearly finds him annoying. He’s portrayed as more goofy sidekick than serious superhero, often bumbling his way through situations with a mix of optimism and obliviousness. His exaggerated neediness and lack of self-awareness make him one of the film’s standout comedic characters.

Wonder Woman in The LEGO Movie is a fearless, confident, and action-oriented superhero. She’s strong, highly skilled in combat, and never hesitates to dive into dangerous situations. Despite her tough exterior, she has a playful side, fitting perfectly into the film’s humorous, self-aware world. Her iconic armour and lasso of truth make her instantly recognizable, and she often balances serious heroism with the LEGO universe’s quirky, over-the-top antics.

In The LEGO Movie, Shaquille O’Neal appears as a playful LEGO minifigure version of himself. True to his real-life image, Shaq is portrayed as a towering basketball star with an upbeat, easy-going vibe, always ready to join in the fun and help out. A wisecracking LEGO minifigure modeled after the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln is portrayed with his signature tall stovepipe hat and formal black suit. In The LEGO Movie, he’s part of the Master Builders—a group of creative free-thinkers who resist Lord Business’s rigid control. Though he’s depicted as serious and dignified, Lincoln is also played for comedy, often delivering dramatic speeches before being humorously interrupted. His presence blends historical gravitas with the film’s playful, irreverent tone.

In The LEGO Movie, Han Solo appears briefly as a LEGO minifigure version of the iconic Star Wars character. Alongside Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian, he shows up during the Millennium Falcon’s cameo sequence, where Emmet, Wyldstyle, and Batman encounter them while traveling through space. Just like in the original Star Wars films, Han is portrayed as a cool, confident smuggler with a laid-back attitude, but his role in the movie is mainly comedic and light-hearted, poking fun at his reputation as a charming rogue. While his screen time is short, his appearance is a fun crossover moment that highlights the playful mash-up of different franchises within the LEGO universe.

Lando Calrissian appears in The LEGO Movie as a playful LEGO minifigure version of the iconic Star Wars character. True to his smooth-talking and charming nature, he’s portrayed as a fun, easygoing ally who shows up alongside Han Solo and Chewbacca during the heroes’ adventure. In the film, Lando helps provide comic relief while also celebrating his legacy as the stylish gambler-turned-rebel hero from the Star Wars universe. C-3PO appears in The LEGO Movie as a cameo character, continuing his role as the well-known protocol droid from the Star Wars franchise. True to his personality, he is polite, formal, and a bit anxious, often caught worrying about situations while trying to maintain proper etiquette. In the film, he briefly shows up alongside other Star Wars characters, adding a playful nod to the larger world of pop culture that the movie brings together. His inclusion is more of a humorous Easter egg than a central role, but it highlights his iconic status as the golden droid who has been a constant presence in the Star Wars saga

Like the other workers, Foreman Jim is part of the construction crew responsible for building and demolishing structures exactly as ordered, emphasizing the film’s theme of conformity versus creativity. Gandalf is a humorous parody of the legendary wizard from The Lord of the Rings. As part of the LEGO universe’s “Master Builders,” he is one of many famous characters who possess the ability to quickly create imaginative inventions out of LEGO bricks. While still recognizable with his long beard, pointy hat, and staff, this version of Gandalf is more light-hearted and silly, often caught up in the chaos of the movie’s fast-paced comedy. He contributes to the team of heroes fighting against Lord Business’s plans, but like the other Master Builders, he’s played for laughs, blending the iconic wisdom of the original wizard with the quirky, exaggerated tone of the LEGO world.

Dumbledore is a playful parody of the famous wizard from Harry Potter. Unlike the wise and serious headmaster from the original books and films, the LEGO version is a comical, exaggerated figure who often gets confused with Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings. He’s part of the Master Builders, a group of creative LEGO characters who resist the villain Lord Business, but his role is mostly for laughs, poking fun at how similar pop culture wizards can seem. Like many of the “robot” henchmen in the film, he blends into society with a cheerful, friendly exterior but reveals his true mechanical nature when carrying out commands from higher authority. Sheriff Not-A-Robot is designed to resemble a stereotypical Wild West sheriff, complete with a cowboy hat and badge, but beneath the surface he’s another extension of the rigid, controlled system that enforces conformity in the LEGO world. The Micro-Managers are robotic enforcer machines, created and controlled by Lord Business to maintain strict order in his perfectly structured world. These large, black, cube-shaped robots serve as his henchmen, carrying out his will by capturing, controlling, and suppressing the creativity of ordinary LEGO citizens. Equipped with mechanical arms, legs, and powerful weaponry, they can chase, grab, and restrain anyone who disobeys Lord Business’s rigid rules. Their blocky, intimidating design reflects their role as tools of micromanagement and control, symbolizing the oppressive force that stifles imagination and freedom in the LEGO universe.

The Computer is a minor character who serves as Lord Business’s robotic assistant. It appears in the Octan Tower and functions mainly as an information hub, providing Lord Business with data, calculations, and system reports in a flat, mechanical voice. The Computer is portrayed with a mix of efficiency and dry humour, often responding to commands with blunt, literal interpretations. While it doesn’t play a major role in the plot, its presence highlights the high-tech, corporate control of Octan’s empire and adds to the satirical tone of the film by parodying the stereotypical “all-knowing machine” trope found in many science fiction stories.

He's not just a construction worker, Dad. He's the hero.
It's up to you now, Emmet.
The people are trying to stop President Business from using the Kragle.
The Man Upstairs is the live-action character portrayed by Will Ferrell, representing the human side of the LEGO world. He is revealed near the film’s climax as the father of the boy whose imagination drives the story, and the LEGO villain “Lord Business” is essentially his counterpart within the toy universe. The Man Upstairs is a strict, controlling figure who wants the LEGO sets to remain perfectly built and permanently glued in place, reflecting his desire for order and perfection. His son, however, sees LEGO as a tool for creativity and play, which creates the central conflict of the film. Ultimately, The Man Upstairs learns to appreciate his child’s perspective, realizing that imagination and collaboration give LEGO its true value.

I know it's hard to understand. But this is Dad's stuff, okay? All of this that you see before you is all your father's. And everything is thought out, there's... What did you down here? Did you take the top off of the tower?
Look, I moved your stuff over near to the Christmas decorations. All those bricks, you can build anything you want. Finn, we're gonna play a little game. It's called "Let’s put everything back the way you found it."
