Sheriff Not-A-Robot is a minor character. He’s a robotic law enforcement officer programmed to keep order in Bricksburg under the rule of President Business. Like many of the “robot” henchmen in the film, he blends into society with a cheerful, friendly exterior but reveals his true mechanical nature when carrying out commands from higher authority. Sheriff Not-A-Robot is designed to resemble a stereotypical Wild West sheriff, complete with a cowboy hat and badge, but beneath the surface he’s another extension of the rigid, controlled system that enforces conformity in the LEGO world. Though he only appears briefly, his role adds to the film’s satirical take on authority figures and the contrast between creativity and strict order.
