Lord Business is the main antagonist of The Lego Movie, serving as the tyrannical alter ego of President Business. As the ruler of the LEGO universe, he is obsessed with control, perfection, and order, wanting everything to be built according to strict instructions rather than allowing creativity and imagination to flourish. He seeks to use a powerful superweapon called the "Kragle" to permanently freeze the world exactly how he wants it, ensuring nothing can change or deviate from his rigid vision. Beneath his intimidating armor and menacing persona, however, Lord Business is ultimately revealed to reflect the fears and controlling tendencies of a real-world father, showing that his character represents both a villain and a deeper commentary on the tension between structure and creativity.

[Lord Business bursts in sending the guards flying and does an evil laugh] Vitruvius! You've hidden the Kragle well, old man. [turning to his army of Lego robots] Robots, destroy him!
We've done some great work over the years together, Bad Cop. Capturing all those Master Builders and torturing them and what not. Although, you did let the Piece of Resistance go. The one thing that can ruin my plans, the one thing that I asked you to take care of. [he comes over to Bad Cop and puts one arm around his shoulder] That's super frustrating, y' know? It makes me just wanna pick up whoever's standing closest to me and just Throw them through this window, and out into the Infinite Abyss of Nothingness!
As you can see they're loading the Kragle into a big machine upstairs. I call it "The Tentacle Arm Kragle Outside Sprayer", or Takos! The S is silent. So on Taco Tuesday it's going to spray the Kragle over everyone and everything with a bunch of super scary nozzles, like this one. [the tentacle reaches out and comes over to Bad Cop who bends backwards trying to avoid it] I'll show you how it works.
