Deadline extended
Due to stuff in my real life, I won't be ready to start casting when January comes around. As such, the new deadline will be at the end of March. Thank you for understanding.
Hey everyone! As I absolutely can't stand working on Sonic stuff right now, I've decided to a one-off project so I can recover from burnout and cover another franchise I love, The Legend of Zelda!
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Final Mix, is one of three different stories. It consists of "Story of the Princess", which is the original plot re-written with some elements taken from the Magna, aspects of Hyrule Warriors canonized, side-characters more fleshed out, a redone OST, new textures and many MANY more additions! It is then followed by "Story of the Hero", which is a canonical retelling of Hyrule Warriors, detailing the story of the Hero of Time after the events of Majora's Mask, and the impact he had on the world prior to his death. Lastly, there is "Story of the Mirror", which covers the Wii version of the game, treated as a bridge story where Termina established the Kingdom of Lorule, and the Dark Hero created to balance out the overwelming Light!
While it won't be three videos (God no), this will be the first of many Zelda stories I want to do in the future when I'm finally done with Sonic, but for now, I'm gonna cover at least one of them. As a note, not EVERY character is listed for two reasons
1) Characters will be added as they become relevant, so right now, it's only those that appear in Twilight Princess.
2) Some characters have Terminian counterparts, so if you audition for someone, be mindful you will ALSO voice their double later down the line!
3) To keep in the style of Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom, we are only dubbing cutscenes and new scenes made in Visual Novel, the rest will be text.
4) Some characters, like Ganondorf, have been pre-cast already, so they won't appear on the listing.
This project will also go up on both of my channels, my main one (https://www.youtube.com/@HerotonAlmighty2011) will have a condensed version will all the story-relevant stuff, while my second channel (https://www.youtube.com/@venomdimitriplays485) will have an uncut version with the gameplay mixed in.
I'm giving a LONG deadline for auditions, so don't feel pressured to rush, and break a leg!
Due to stuff in my real life, I won't be ready to start casting when January comes around. As such, the new deadline will be at the end of March. Thank you for understanding.
MAJOR ROLE
The current incarnation of the Hero, and local Ordonian farmhand. His parents died when he was very young, though despite that, he never mourned them. Instead, Link is the type of person to always look forward instead of backward, ready to take on any challenge with little hesitation. This sort of attitude has made him somewhat arrogant, especially when it comes to wielding a sword. Link self-proclaims himself a master swordsman, even though the only opponent he's had was his mentor, Rusl. In reality, prior to moving to Ordon Village, Link was a commoner from Hyrule Castle Town, yearning the life of a Royal Knight. His dreams were crushed when, in his anger, he killed three other trainees, taking refuge in Ordon to hide from his shame. While couragous, deep down he's terrified of what he did, and hurting those he cares about, unable to shake the urge to swing a sword.
For the role, I'm looking for an embodiment of these traits, while also having a mid-pitched tone, similar to the example here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaO_z_Aly18
(Meloncoly) You're wrong... I'm not a hero. How could I be? I couldn't save the kids... couldn't save Ilia... You've chosen the wrong person...
(Confident) Oh, you wanna learn how to swing a sword, huh? Heh... I suuupose I could teach you... Just this once.
(Angry) What is wrong with you?! Who cares if he's not our problem! I'm not going to just let him die!
MAJOR ROLE
The titular "Twilight Princess" and main companion during Link's journey. She was cursed to appear as an imp thanks to the Usuper King, Zant. Mostly due to her dethroning, Midna can be seen as morally grey. She's arrogant, cynical, shrewd, and thinks very highly of herself. She cares little about the Light Realm, only wanting revenge and the power she needs to enact it. She belittles Link and his emotions, constantly condecsending him. Overtime, however, this changes, albeit slowly, into her feeling guilty for dragging Link into her problems. After seeing Zelda's sacrifice, Midna begins to sympathize with the Light Realm, and is more helpful and encouraging. She also develops feelings for Link, even though, deep down, she knows it will not end well.
While she "technically" has voice lines already, she will be dubbed in English, and so I need a voice in the mid-high range matching her in-game VA, though it doesn't need to be 1:1! The example can be found here: https://youtu.be/abXgNxcz2Mo?t=60 (Slow it down to .75 playback to hear it, I had NO idea she actually spoke full sentences in english)
(Teasing) Oh? Is that an angry glare I just saw? Wow, aren't YOU adorable! Not like disobeying me will save your friends any faster.
(Angry) Do you know why our people denied you the throne, Zant? It was your eyes! Everyone saw it, the lust for power burning in your pupils!
(Dying) Hey, Link... You can get to Faron on your o-own... Right...? Sorry... But I think... This is where we... p-part... ways...
MAJOR ROLE
The current incarnation of Zelda and ruler of the Hyrule kingdom. She is the last surviving member of her family, and thus she is under constant stress to be wed and continue the bloodline. Zelda is haunted both physically and mentally, from the failure to stop Zant's invasion of Hyrule, and having memories of her past lives that she can't fully understand. She is softspoken, rarely showing anger or sadness, and often gets comments that she should smile more. Most of her life had no direction, and thus she feels unworthy to rule over the kingdom. Despite this, she is very much capable of showing emotions, but only when no one is around.
The voice I have in mind, which doesn't need to be 1:1, is similar to Erin Fitzgerald's performance as Anges from Bravely Default, albeit with an English accent. The example can be found here: https://youtu.be/pTlAar00HRY?t=110
(Sorrowful) My soldiers fought to the last, yet it was not enough. Zant unleashed an unimaginable power... All I could do was watch.
(Slight happiness) I am relieved to hear you say that. A brave knight such as yourself is... hard to come by. You shall not regret it.
(Anger) And what of you, Ganondorf? Cursed to forever wander the endless oceans of time? Surely you must have come to understand your fellow man? Why do you continue down this dark path?! Why do you haunt my legacy?!
SUPPORTING ROLE
Ilia is Link's best friend ever since he arrived in Ordon years ago, and has a mutual affection for him. Ilia is headstrong, and usually doesn't back down from an argument, even if she is in the wrong. Despite this, when calm, she will always own up to her mistakes, and shows motherly fondness for the children of the village. She also takes care of Link's horse, Epona, to which most of the kids believe she loves Epona more than Link. She is kidnapped at the beginning of the story, and loses her memory when she escapes captivity. A good chunk of her story involves curing her amnesia, as she becomes one of Link's companions in this version of the story.
Vocally, somewhere close to Eden Regal's voice fits what I'm looking for, as shown here: https://youtu.be/eV8fDuRt20Q?t=3
(Happy) O-Oh! Hi, Link... I didn't see you there. I, uh, washed Epona for you, hehe.
(Sad) You're... Going away somewhere, aren't you? I guess I can't convince you to stay, huh? ...Come on... Say something...!
(Angry) Excuse YOU, father! You're the MAYOR! Start acting like one, for Goddess' sake! Ugh... Unbelievable!
SUPPORTING ROLE
Rusl is the local blacksmith and swordsman housed in Ordon Village. Through his interactions with Link, it's known that he acts as a father figure, as well as mentor, teaching Link the ways of the sword. He usually puts on a serious demeanor, but easy jokes off any situation to lighten the mood. Early in the story, he is badly injured and stays behind to protect his wife from Link in wolf form. Much later, however, he is revealed to be part of the Hyrule Resistance Corps. He aids Link when he needs to return to the Sacred Grove.
He should have a lower-pitched voice befiting of a man his age, something similar to the example here: https://youtu.be/z--qrEtS6NU?t=3
(Curious) You have... Never been to Hyrule, have you? Forgive me for assuming, there was... a certain look you made that said otherwise. A painful memory perhaps?
(Anger) Back you vile creature! Stay away from my wife! Move another step and you will know my fury!
(Casual) Tomorrow's the big day, is it? It may be a good idea to rest easy tonight. Who knows? You may get a chance to meet Princess Zelda, hahaha!
MINOR ROLE
Talo is one of the children of Ordon Village, and a brat by nature. He is cocky and overconfident, taking after his idol, Link. He desperately wants to become a swordsman despite his age, much to everyone's chagrin. This leads him into trouble when he is kidnapped early in the story. He has a close relationship with his brother, Malo and his friend, Beth, but can't stand Rusl's son, Colin.
As stated above, a bratty young boy voice fits this character, whichever you prefer!
(Angry) Who asked YOU, Beth? You callin' me a liar?! I'll... Uh... Dang, can't hit girls... Grrr...
(Cocky) Hey Link!, show me that awesome move you do! Y'know, the one where you jump and go all HIYAAAAA!
(Guilty) You won't... Tell mom and dad about this, right, Link? You gotta promise!
MINOR ROLE
Malo is an absolute enigma of a child. No one knows how he has such a large vulcabulary at the age he is, and no one dares question it either. He is cold and distant, always pessimistic and cynical, and rarely does he ever show that he cares about anyone. Compliments are rare, but when he does, it is because he genuinely means it. With Link's finanical help, he starts a shopping chain called "Malo Mart", and sells some of the best items in the game.
A young boy voice is preferred, but not required. Though the way he talks should resemble that of Dr. Neo Cortex, as seen here: https://youtu.be/x9rPVO4vKNE?list=PLnXhhuWwlh5tv0pi3NSxmJT2LDHBkvTDe&t=14 (NOTE: WAY HE SPEAKS, NOT HOW HE SHOULD SOUND VOCALLY)
(Cold) Oh? You thought that was impressive? Please. Anyone with motor skills can pull THAT off.
(Happy, then cold) Yes! Despite the crazy situation, you showed those monsters what for! Ahem... You weren't too bad, I suppose.
(Sad) Colin protected Beth... Help him.
MINOR ROLE
Beth is a young girl from Ordon Village, she seems to have a crush on Link, admiring him for all the important things he does while still having time to relax. This crush is very heavily one-sided, as the age gap is far too great, and Link already has not to obvious affections for Ilia. She always hangs out with Talo and Malo, but thinks that they are both immature and calls them brats and idiots. As such, she is often scolding them for asking things of Link, only to see her asking Link the same question, claiming that it is only because they will not leave him alone. Before Link departs to Hyrule Castle, Beth mentions to him that she would also like to go since there is nothing in Ordon Village that looks good on her. She also complains that she will not help at her mom's store until her dad stops buying inventory for boys and starts bringing in more girly stuff.
Any sort of bratty voice works for her, so long as it's in the higher pitched range
(Fawning) Ooooooh, Hi Liiiink! You seem to be free, right? Totally. I'm right, aren't I? How about you and I go somewhere away from THOSE losers!
(Annoyed) Ugh, Goddess help me if you don't SHUT UP! You and Malo don't know the first thing about chiverly!
(Sad) Is... Is Colin gonna be alright? I... It should've been me! If I just moved out the way then... then Colin would... *sob*
SUPPORTING ROLE
Colin is a timid young boy who lives in Ordon Village. He is the son of Rusl, and wants to be just like his father. He looks up to both Link and Ilia, often treating them like his older siblings. Colin is often taunted and teased by Malo and Talo, two other children of Ordon Village. He gradually becomes braver and more confident as the story progresses, espeically after he saves Beth from King Bulblin. Colin made Link's Fishing Rod early in the game, and grows into his own man near the end. He has complicated feelings for Beth, to which she's oblivious of due to her one-sided crush on Link.
Colin should sound something along the lines of Original Kid Gohan/Kid Goku from DBZ, as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0ti-0h-Tt0
(Shy) When I grow up... I want to be strong, like you, Link. I... Um... May not be that much now... But I-I will be!
(Confident) Back then... When I talked about being strong, it wasn't about being able to crush bad guys or anything like that. It's... Strength of heart. That's where MY strength comes from.
(Happy) You're... Not mad at me, right, Beth? Heh heh... That was my first time... protecting a girl from danger. I really felt like a hero...!
MINOR ROLE
Mayor Bo is the Mayor of Ordon Village and father of Ilia. He is first seen in front of the mayor's house by the road that leads up to Ordon Rance. He takes the role of a mentor figure to Link, and, given Link's relationship to Ilia, treats him like his own son. While he's a responsable leader, he can act quite aloof and abscent-minded, something Ilia usually chews him out for. While not in the story for long, he is pivital in helping Link get past the Gorons of Death Mountain by teaching him the ways of Sumo Wrestling... And the Iron Boots.
An older male voice with a heavy southern accent is prefered for what I'm looking for.
(Shocked) Wait! Ilia! How's Link supposed to get to Hyrule Castle without a horse?! ...And there she goes.
(Serious) I could tell ya how to best them Gorons... But you'll need to promise me not to tell anyone about the "secret special mystery item" I used back when I was a lad... We clear?
(Sad) S-So tell me, son, you know where my darlin' sunshine is, right? ...Oh. *sigh* That ain't the answer I wanted to hear...
MAJOR ROLE
Zant is one of two main antagonists in Twilight Princess, and the self-proclaimed King of Twilight, a title he took from himself when he usurped the throne of the Twilight Realm from Princess Midna before the events of story. He regularly appears wearing a helmet that conceals his face, but removes it before his battle with Link. Despite his overwelming power, it is borrowed from Ganondorf, who he views as his "God". Zant presents himself as a calm and calculated tyrant, ruling with an iron fist and silencing anyone who gets in his way. Life means little to him, as he doesn't hesitate to use his own people to further his aims, such as turning them into Shadow Beasts with no free will. In reality, however, Zant is a insane, childish, and spiteful individual, as once his mask slips, he screams and moves erratically to make his point, even self-harming in some cases. Zant cannot stand the idea of losing what he "earned", and will do anything Ganondorf commands him to do.
For Zant, I need a voice that can shift between deep and high, one for when he's pretending to be serious, and the other for when he has nothing to high.
(Cold) Well... It looks like you're cornered and out of options. You have two options; Surrender or die. Think carefully, if I like what I hear, I may be merciful and leave your soliders alive. Well, then, Princess? Do you choose life...? Or DEATH?
(Manipulative) Surely you see my point, my dear Midna. These people... Humans, Hylians, Gorons, Zoras... ALL of them live in such bliss while our people suffer. Does that not give you pause? That is why... I need you...
(Insane) You are IGNORANT! Feeble minded ingrates like you are the very reason why I should have been KING! ME! But, no! I was denied! denied MY BIRTHRIGHT! You call it FAIR?! NO NO NO NO NO! STUPID STUPID STUPID!
MINOR ROLE
Ordona is the light spirit that rules over the Ordon Province and is the guardian spirit of "Humans", who are relatively new to Hyrule's history. She is the youngest light spirit, only having been created after the events of Ocarina of Time. While she is wise and kind, she lacks the true knowledge of her peers due to her age.
A kind, sisterly voice is what I'm looking for. Anything from mid-high will do. You must use an English accent.
(Calm) O brave youth, thou hast seen much in thy's short time alive. I can see thy heart. A darkness lurks deep within.
(Sad) As I was concieved... My power only extends as far as this region. I have little power over the rest of Hyrule, unlike mine fellow kinsmen.
(Serious) There is only one who is capable of restoring the light to this world. Tis you, Link. Inheritor of Courage.
MINOR ROLE
Faron is the light spirit that governs over Faron Woods and its neighboring regions. He takes the form of a monkey with a long tail, and is the most wise out of the four. Long ago, he watched over the Kokiri and was a good friend of the Great Deku Tree. After the latter's death and the disappearance of the Kokiri, he refused to abandon his home, even as he was attacked by Shadow beasts. Faron is the most emotional of the light spirits, and is well liked by the animals of the forest.
An old man's voice, with an English accent, is preffered for this character, but don't forget to have fun with the voice too!
(Glad) Oh ho ho ho! Doth mine eyes betray me? How long a year has past since I gazed upon thee? Ah... But thou art not a Kokiri, yes?
(Serious) Gaze upon thyself, young man. Thou has been accepted by the powers above to become the next hero! The tunic that thou wears once belonged to Hylia's chosen knight! They, who sealed the Demon King, Demise, milenia ago!
(Nostalgic) Ah... But fie on Demise's curse... The forest had once been a place of life briming with light, until one man brought about its end...
SUPPORTING ROLE
Ooccoo, a member of the Oocca tribe, ocassionally shows up in dungeons to help Link teleport too and from his currentl location with her son's powers. As the Oocca tribe are descendants of Loftwings, she has a vast knowledge of the events of Skyward Sword and Minish Cap, and knows much about Hylia, Demise's Curse, and the Spirit of the Hero. She helps out Link when Lana takes him to the "World of the Great Sea", and knows much about the Dominion Rod. Despite her knowledge, she is very much an airhead, often stumbling over her own words and getting lost in thought.
A mid to high-pitched and ditsy voice fits Ooccoo, similar to this example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9C1Uq88Cpo
(Happy) Oh my goodness! Thank you for releasing me! I hid myself in that pot and, ahaha... I couldn't get myself back out! Maybe I AM gaining weight... Oh! Sorry! I digress!
(Serious) Your name is Link?! Oh ho! I just KNEW that green tunic looked familiar! Tell me, do you know of skyloft? Of Hylia? Wait wait... No, how could you, right? That's ancient history. My mistake, hahaha...
(Sad) The girl is still suffering from amnesia, is that right? Oh, what a terrible, freadful thing... Once I forgot to pick up my son from school ALL DAY! He was very cross with me... Ah... But that's not quite the same, is it?
SUPPORTING ROLE
Renado is the Maror of Kakariko Village, though it is little more than a ghost town by the time Link saves it from the Twilight. It is he who finds the children from Ordon Village and shelters them when Kakariko is covered in Twilight and overrun by Zant's minions. An overprotective father at heart, he treats everyone significantly younger than him as his children or students, being very wise and well-traveled. In his youth, he was friends with Mayor Bo, and has a good relationship with the Goron Tribe. He rarely ever gets angry, only a short outburst if not at all. He is also very oblivious to flirting, though whether or not this is the result of him never moving on from his late wife or actually being clueless is unknown.
Being a shaman, he should have a deep, commanding voice, but one of kindness like a grandparent. Somewhere mid to high range.
(Welcoming) Ah, so you are the one called Link. The children speak very highly of you. I see that the words of praise are not mistaken.
(Calm) Do not worry about the Zora child. My wife, may she rest in peace, taught my daughter all that she knew of non-human biology. I assure you that Luda will take good care of him.
(Nostalgia) In years past, Kakariko was one of the largest settlements in Hyrule, and a safe haven for humans when they appeared. This was not the original location, however, though the original town was lost when the Shiekah disappeared one day.
MINOR ROLE
Luda is a girl who lives in Kakariko Village with her father, Renado, and is portrayed as being very mature for her age. Along with Barnes, Luda and her father are the only remaining survivors of Kakariko after Shadow Beast raid the village. Luda becomes fast friends with the children from Ordon Village when her father takes them into their home. She is very caring to everyone, using the medical knowledge her mother passed down to her to heal the Zora Prince when he arrives in the village with Ilia and Telma. While never outright said, it is heavily implied that Luda is half-Shiekah, due to the design of her outfit, red eyes (In the actual project, not the CCC profile), and that she seems to know who Impaz is when mentioned.
A voice similar to this example will fit this character: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-bnPHAtj1U
(Casual) I wouldn't do that if I were you. Last time I checked the basement, there were these inscets crawling about... They had the same aura as those dark beasts.
(Happy) Now that the Ordonian kids are here, Kakariko's been so lively! It has been so long since I've had any friends my age to speak to... It'll be sad to see them go home when everyone is safe, but I'll try not to dwell on it.
MINOR ROLE
Barnes is the owners of the Bomb Shop in Kakariko Village, and the local coward. Barnes appears at first inside Renado's sanctuary, hidden along with the children of Ordon Village, Luda, and Renado himself, while the entirety of the Eldin Province is covered by the Twilight. When Link purges the province from it, Barnes discovers that his storage house has been destroyed, so he begins making new Bombs before reopening his shop. As the game progresses, he manages to recover his lineup of products, including regular Bombs, Water Bombs, and Bomblings. As stated earlier, he hids and panics at any sign of danger, and has a habit of putting down his welders mask to hide from monsters.
For those who are aware of Zelda-CDi, I'm looking for a southern-accent version of the character: Morshu. For those unaware, here's the example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8XxuW-Orww
Lamp oil? Rope? Bombs? You want it? It's yours my friend, as long as you have enough rupees!
Sorry, Link. I can't give credit. Come back when you're a little... mmmmm... richer!
MINOR ROLE
Eldin is the Light Spirit who protects the Eldin Province in Twilight Princess. The spirit takes a winged form, presumably that of an owl or other type of bird, and resides in Kakariko Spring. He is named after the Dragon of the same name from Skyward Sword. Eldin is an enigma, as not much is known about him, nor does he divulge any information about himself other than what role he plays. Judging by his demeanor, he seems to be the most serious of the Light Spirits, which is a far cry from the Dragon he was derived from.
A deep, commanding masculine voice will match what I'm looking for.
(Stoic) O brave hero, chosen by the goddesses. Mine name is Eldin. Thou hast done well in restoring my light.
(Stoic) In this land of Eldin, a dark power lurks within the heart of Death Mountain. It is thy duty to cleanse this evil, o chosen knight of Hylia.
SEMI-MINOR ROLE
Lanaryu is one of the four Light Spirits in Twilight Princess. They protect the Lanayru Province and appears in the form of a serpent. Lanayru is named after the Dragon of the same name from the era of Skyward Sword. Lanayru is the only Light Spirit that has a shrine built around their spring. Also mentioned is the fact that local Hylians and Zoras make regular visits to pay respect to the spirit. Lanayru is the only spirit to be genderless, and can be considered a "tempter", based on the snake that tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden. While not "evil", Lanayru is not against using visions and nightmares to test the hearts of those that visit them, such as with Link, telling him of the history of the "Dark Interlopers" and the power he could gain if he gave into the dark magic. Lanayru is still ultimatetly a Light Spirit, and saves Midna from death when she is forced into the Light Realm by Zant.
As Lanayru is genderless, any voice will do, so long as you can sound menacing and sly.
(Menacing) O Hylia's chosen knight, I wonder if thou art worthy of thine praise and admiration... Allow me to show you a vision of the distant past. Do not look away.
(Menacing) Thou knowest the dark magic that I have described. The Fused Shadows... Yes... The absolute power of Darkness. Does thou not find such a prospect enticing...?
(Serious) Does thou wish for Hyrule's freedom? Or... Is thy heart entangled by another? Which does thou value most? Which will thou sacrifice? Hylia had chosen to become mortal... The power to become a god could be within thine reach...
SUPPORTING ROLE
Telma is the owner of a Bar in Hyrule Castle Town. She also owns a pet Cat named Louise. Telma is known to be a kind yet brave woman who looks after Ilia when she takes the injured Zora Prince, Ralis to her Bar. She's also the unofficial leader of the "Hyrule Resistance Corps", allowing the members of the team to hold meeting in her bar. Telma is very friendly, being able to make fast friends with nearly anyone. She is also a gigantic flirt, though most of the time it's in jest, especially towards Link. The only person she seriously flirts with is Renado from Kakariko Village, though this seems to be one-sided. Despite her rather aloof persona, she cares deeply about Hyrule, and thinks very lowly of the Royal Knights, calling them useless and lazy.
Telma should have a very motherly, deep voice, but also energetic and full of sass, having a similar energy to this example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSmeloDbTe0
(Serious) How's it come to this, huh? Monsters walking in the streets of town... What in the WORLD are the soldiers of Hyrule doing?! The Gorons are so much more reliable than they are, it's not even funny!
(Semi-Serious) Those skills of yours... Any chance you're of the mind to put them to use for Hyrule? What hope there is in our kingdom is frail and dying...but there's still a group trying to do what it can. And I'm a member of that group.
(Over the top) Oooh! Well, if it isn't from Renado, the shaman! All this writing, and he doesn't bother to mention a thing about little ol' me? Honey, that is what I call RUDE!
SUPPORTING ROLE
Shad is a scholarly young man and a member of the Hyrule Ressistance Corps. He is deeply interested in the race of sky beings known as the Oocca, having researched them for much of his life, and, by extension, the era of Skyward Sword. He is happy to inform Link on them at any given opportunity. In the original game, he is mearly there to share this formation with Link in order to get him into the City in the Sky, but in this project, he plays an active role towards the dungeon instead. Shad's manner of speech is very formal, taking on an excitable tone when he comes to speaking about his areas of interest. He is the only member of the Resistance who does not fight or use weaponry; he states that whilst he may be formidable at book reading, he lacks any physical skills or strength.Despite this, he seems to carry a dagger tucked between the pages of his book, just in case. As he knows much about the Era of Skyloft, he is the first to notice Link's green tunic belonging to "Hylia's chosen knight" upon meeting him.
A mid-pitched voice with an English accent will fit perfectly, something along the lines of the character, Kallian: https://youtu.be/-9LHSRMjvKs?list=PLpVpBRIlzWuBDERLXiJYSw3L7hu-yo4Cm&t=9
(Excited) Dear Link, After we parted, I tried that word on all the statues I could find in Hyrule, but it was a disaster! How disappointing! ...But if I let something so small get to me, my dear father will scoff at me from beyond the mortal coil. I'm going back to the sanctuary in Kakariko Village to see if I can't find another lead. I certainly hope that if you find any more information, you will share it with me posthaste.
(Casual) Sky beings... Isn't that simply marvelous, old boy? What I wouldn't give to meet them! Would you care to hear about the sky beings again? ...Are you quite sure? I don't mind... Really?"
(Disappointed) Well, I'm formidable at book reading, but I lack, shall we say, physical skills.
SUPPORTING
Auru is one of the members of the Hyrule Resistance Corps., and appears to be the oldest of the group. He is fairly knowledgeable about Gerudo Desert and the evils that reside there. He appears to have known the Sages of Light, revealing that they are the sheltered souls of the original six sages during the time of King Rauru that gave up their physical bodies in order to eternally protect the Mirror of Twilight. When she was a child, he was Princess Zelda's tutor, taking on a similar role to that of Impa from Ocarina of Time. Aside from sharing that he apparently saved Fyer at one point in his life, he doesn't remember many key moments due to his age. Nevertheless, he is wise, if not a bit frail, so he's very aware of what he can and can't do.
A dignified, almost regal mid-deep old man voice would be prefered, similar to this example: https://youtu.be/81DQZHnZqps?t=3
(Serious) You do know, don't you, Master Link? The Gerudo Desert once held a prison built to hold the worst criminals this land has ever known... The criminals who were sentenced to death were sent directly to the underworld by a cursed mirror that was kept in the prison... Now that prison is condemned, and even the road leading to the desert is impassable.
(Jokingly) You see Lake Hylia below us? A man named Fyer runs an amusement ride of sorts there. Give him this. See, long ago, I saved this man Fyer's life, and now he cannot refuse me if I ask a favor, haha!
(Nostalgia) The truth is, I used to serve the Hyrule Royal Family by being the one appointed to educate Princess Zelda when she was young.
SUPPORTING ROLE
Ashei is a member of the Hyrule Resistance Corps. She is a strong young woman with raven-black hair and impressive knowledge of the mountains. In the original game, she gave Link a lead on how to make his way into Snowpeak, but this role is greatly expanded upon in this project. Ashei was raised in the mountains by her knight father, who taught her the art of war. Her mother died when she was too young to remember, something that she can relate to with Prince Ralis. Due to her rather masculine upbringing, she took on a somewhat blunt personality and a rough way of speaking. As she has a derogatory view of the Royal Knights of Hyrule, and has a low opinion of Link at first, espically when he reveals he trained to be a knight in the past. Through her interactions with the Yetis, she starts to learn more about how beasts can have empathy just like everyone else, and begins to warm up personality-wise.
Despite her blunt tone, any voice will do, though I'd prefer mid-low pitch, such as in the example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCvfGYHqYR4
(Blunt, and a bit embarrased) The only clues we have right now are the stories of the Zoras and my sketch. It's not much, I know, but at least- Eh? What's with that look?! Okay, I'm not the best artist, wipe that stupid look off of your face...
(Blunt) I grew up in the mountains with my father, who was a knight in his own right. He taught me the arts of war as though I was his son. Of course, lessons in common courtesy were not part of the regimen, so forgive me if I come off as rude, yeah?
(Lowering her guard) It's rough, yeah? Having your mother die so soon? There's this hole in your life that can't be filled, no matter how hard you try. But... it's okay to not be okay, if that makes sense to you. Never was any good at pep talks.
SUPPORTING ROLE
Agitha is a young, self-proclaimed princess of insects around the age of 10. She lives in her "Castle" in Hyrule Castle town, apparently wealthy enough to live on her own. She loves to dress in gothic-style clothes and pretends to be a princess of the insect kingdom in her own little castle. Although she is a bit delusional, she is very kind and caring. She is one of the few characters who is not afraid of Wolf Link, but rather, asks if he would like to play with her, as she thinks he is a puppy. She apologizes for not being able to speak puppy, indicating she thinks that Wolf Link wants to tell her something. Sometimes she can be found outside the southern gates of Hyrule Castle Town during the daytime before Link has brought her all 24 Bugs; she states she is looking for bugs in the flowers. In this project, however, due to being combined with Hyrule Warriors, she has a much larger arc later in the story, involving the origin of her family, revealing that she has some Fae blood, and she can ACTUALLY talk to insects rather than being crazy.
Agitha needs to have a cute, yet dignified voice befitting a princess, only dropping the act when she is VERY upset. A good example can be found here: https://youtu.be/oLxr-Ua9PIs?t=93
(Polite) Why, hello! I'm so sorry, but I was just finishing up here. If there's something you need, you'll simply have to visit me in my posh castle on the other side of the gate.
(Shocked) …You actually went bug hunting for me, didn't you? To be honest, I doubted you would… I guess some might consider me a poor-mannered princess… From now on, if you bring me insects, I'll share my happiness with you. You can keep it in this!
(Angry, and under her breath) ...You have bugs, don't you? I can hear them. You would do well to not anger me, knight... or else...
SUPPORTING ROLE
Fi is a humanoid spirit residing inside the Master Sword, created by the Goddess, Hylia, long long ago. While she was a main character in Skyward Sword, she initally went into a never-ending slumber once her task was complete. Only the current incarnation of the Hero, Hylia and Demise's current vessels, and those tied to the gods can hear her voice coming from the Master Sword. In this project, she takes physical form and fights alongside Link and Midna, as the former reminds her of her first master from days past. Fi was initally emotionless, a robotic servant to Hylia's chosen knight, and gives every situation a logical and mathmatical approach. While this hasn't changed much in the centuries that she slept inside of the sword, she is capable of feeling emotion, mostly love and sorrow, upon realizing the current Link isn't the same one she once knew.
Here is some examples of Fi's voice. It's gibberish mixed in with Japanese (When played backwards as the video shows), but I want the pitch and tone to match in the audition. I will provide the filter myself, but feel free to include it if you wish: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kzh9-7PEqYw
(Robotic) ...Memory updated. Forgive me, it would seem the hylian language has changed by 90% over the ages. I will update my linguistics furthers so there is less confusion.
(Robotic, yet sarcastic) I sense a large disturbance in this individual's aura. There is an 85% probability that he is experiencing the emotion humans refer to as "love."
(Robotic, then progressively becoming more sad) Our partnership is at an end, and even as we speak, I feel my consciousness fading away. Before I enter the sleep that calls me to the sword, I wish to relay to you words that I recorded many times over the course of our journey. Many have said them to you thus far, but I now wish to say them for myself... Thank you, Master Link. May we meet again in another life...
MINOR CHARACTER
Yeto lives in the Snowpeak Ruins with his wife, Yeta, who owns a shard of the Mirror of Twilight. He helps Link reach his home by snowboarding. While very simple-minded, and only speaking very basic Hylian, he means well when shown to offer Link a hot meal in his home, and going out of his way to cook soup for his sick wife. His wife means everything to him, and will get tunnelvision if he sees her in danger.
A voice similar to this example will work: https://youtu.be/IbVq-HLiqqw?t=147
(Thinking) Uh! You that tasty-looking wolf. Me remember! ...Breakfast, uh?
(Thinking, then surprised) Hmmm... Need more punch, uh! What flavor...? *sniff* THAT SMELL! What you have, uh?!
(Caring) No need mirror. Not important, uh. Look into eyes of Yeto. That true beauty, uh!
MINOR ROLE
Yeta is the wife of Yeto, who lives with him in the Snowpeak Ruins. She became sick since she was given a piece of the Mirror of Twilight by her husband. Upon first meeting Link, Yeta agrees to help him locate the Bedroom Key to the room where the Shard is held; however, due to her sickness, she inadvertently sends him to Treasure Chests containing food two different times. After consuming her husband's soup with the added ingredients, Yeta becomes well enough to meet Link after he has obtained the Bedroom Key and leads him to the bedroom. However, after she gazes into the Mirror, she becomes corrupted and transforms into the dungeon's boss, Blizzeta. Upon her defeat, she is returned to normal and freed from the Mirror Shard's influence. She is much more well-spoken than Yeto, but still has broken Hylian when she talks.
A voice matching this example will do: https://youtu.be/IbVq-HLiqqw?t=416
(Friendly) I drink husband's soup, feel much better, uh. So I come find you.
(Sick) *cough* Sorry, I have bad illness, uh. Keep distance. *cough*
(Enamored, then evil) Such pretty mirror... uh. Pretty, so pretty... P-Pre-tty... So... Pre-e-ety.... AGGHHH! NOT TAKE MIRROR!
SUPPORTING ROLE
Lana and Cia, originally just known as Cia, are two halves of the Goddess of Time. Cia, who had fallen deeply in love with the Hero over the eons, and seeing how their lives play out, eventually fell into despair upon seeing the fate that awated the Hero of Time. Attempting to change history, she gave into the darkness and became an evil witch, which her good half becoming Lana. Before the events of Twilight Princess, Lana fought alongside the Hero of Time to stop Cia, who eventually transformed into a monster and perished. In Twilight Princess, Lana asks the current Link to help her "save the fate of a different world", as Zant has hidden a shard of the Mirror of Twilight in the Adult Timeline during the events of Wind Waker.
Lana and Cia have contrasting personalities, outside of their physical appearences. Lana is selfless, caring, and puts personal feelings aside for the greater good, while Cia is selfish, sadistic, and is unable to control her warped desire of "saving" the Hero of Time. Both of them, however, care about the other, and will overexert themselves to the point of near death to gain the upperhand in battle.
As they were once one, they share the same voice, ergo why this audition is for both of them. Lana has a high-pitched voice, while Cia has a low pitched. The best example of how I want them to sound in English can be found here for Lana: (https://youtu.be/DNcLkVusgP4?t=3) and Here for Cia: (https://youtu.be/L5NvazsRoFQ?t=3)
(Lana, Serious, then confident) Cia and I... We're not just from the same clan. We're actually...the same person. I can feel it... Cia's power has been greatly diminished. If 'were going to counterattack, we have to do it now!
(Cia, sadistic) Oh? You dare stand in my way? Do you not know who I am?! I will make this very clear... Crush them, destroy, Kill ever last one of them! If you fail me, then I'll kill you myself, do you get me?!
(Lana, sad) No matter what, you two always save Hyrule...together. (Cia, sad) You always were...my better half...
MINOR ROLE
Toon Link is the incarnation of the Hero found in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and its direct sequel, Phantom Hourglass. Hailing from the "Adult Timeline", where Ganondorf was sealed away after taking over Hyrule, Zelda returned the Hero of Time back to his timeline, leaving them stranded without a hero when Ganondorf escaped. Toon Link has no relation to the Hero, nor was he chosen by the Goddesses, he's simply just a brave young man that wanted to save his little sister after she was kidnapped by Ganondorf. Although brave, Toon Link is a bit of an clown, cracking jokes and bad puns every chance he gets. He usually laughs off bad situations and tries to act cool around girls older than him. Ultimately he still has a strong sense of justice and will leap into action to help someone in need. He makes a small appearance in this project when Lana sends Link to Toon Link's world to recover a Mirror of Twilight Shard.
The voice I'm looking for, while not 1:1, is something akin to Goten from DBZ, as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PilcfeNoTdA
(Playful) Woah... Are you... Me? You're really cool! Guess I'm not "big brother" anymore, haha!
(Serious) So Ganondorf is in your world too? I've only ever met him once, and I... Didn't stand a chance. I've been trying to restore the Master Sword's power since then.
(Curious) Are there any oceans in your world? Do you even know what an Ocean is? It's like... a giant lake that covers the whole world! ...I think.
MINOR ROLE
The Great Fairy Queen, true to her name, rules over all fairies in Hyrule, including the other Great Fairies. She makes her domain deep inside the Cave of Ordeals in Gerudo Desert, having hid herself away from Hylian kind years prior. In Agitha's new sidequest, it is revealed that she's related to her, as she once fell in love with a Hylian Knight. While appearing as warm and welcoming, she hides a great sorrow over the life and family she could never have.
Her voice should sound youthful, yet wise, something along the lines of this: https://youtu.be/dXeHKJDJXHk?t=150
(Warm) You cleared many ordeals... How impressive. In praise of your courage, I will give you this blessing.
(Sorrowful) You have returned to me... My child. How I have wished to have held you in my arms. You have grown so much since... Fitting of a princess, as I understand.
SEMI-MINOR ROLE
King Bulblin is the secondary antagonist of Twilight Princess, and the one that sets the events of the story in motion when he invades Ordon Province. A formidable foe that fights Link on multiple occasions, overconfident and ruthless, he seemingly works for Zant out of fear rather than loyalty. He does not speak until the end of the story, much to Midna and Link's shock, stating that he could always talk, but Link was not worthy of his words until now.
A deep, monsterous voice is required for this character, like this example: https://youtu.be/lazGM774Ny4?t=501
(Cocky) So it is you once again. I am not surprised you made it this far, your strength should be recognized. However, still I shall show no mercy.
(Arrogant) I have always been capable of speech, all Bulbins know the Hylian tongue. You were simply not worth my words, boy.
(Remorseful) I have always sided with the strongest side, and now... That side is you. I will not apologize for the crimes against your village, nor do I want forgiveness. Until your enemy is slain... You will have my axe at your side.
MINOR ROLE
Impaz is the last surviving resident of Old Kakariko Village, and one of the few pure-blood Shiekah seen in the story. She is pivitol at restorying Ilia's memory, having given her shelter when she escaped from King Bulblin. Impaz is also important to Shad, as she has vast knowledge of the old ways of Skyloft, and about the Shiekah tribe.
Any old voice will do, so long as it's high-pitched.
(Angry) Go home, you savages! Go on, git! I don't have any food left to feed you monsters! And I don't know anything about the girl! I'm not opening up until every last one of you is gone! You heard me! So get out of here!
(Shocked) Hey! That rod... Is that the Dominion Rod? Ahh... Could it really be? Are you the messenger to the heavens?! Among the legends of my clan, there is a story from the time when the Oocca still maintained contact with the royal family.
(Nostalgic) This village was once the secret home of the Shiekah, a proud tribe who served the royal family... But it fell into decline, and became infested with dangerous beasts. It's become an awful place...
