Project Overview

Welcome to my FIFTH Legend of Zelda narration project!!


Technically this is the sixth project on my channel, Rin's Legendarium, but the most recent one was another writer's contest winning submission, so I don't want to claim that, as all credit goes to the winner, Tetra!


But we're back to basics again, and this time, it's a BIGGUN!


This fanfic focuses on the Hyrulean Civil War just before the events of Ocarina of Time. Here's a synopsis!


Sir Kenso, a knight of Hyrule and loyalist to King Thaddeus himself, has been given a dark mission. An unofficial assassin for the king, Sir Kenso must contend with the terrible truths of the monarch that rules his beloved land, while balancing his personal life. Amaira, Kenso’s wife and only ally in life, begs her husband to forgo his given orders and stop living a life of bloody vengeance on behalf of his king. But Kenso is stubbornly bound to his duty and his fate.


As a civil war rages, triggered by the murder of an important liaison to the crown, tensions rise between the races, causing rifts and disloyalties to abound. Kenso’s duty pushes him to grisly, unspeakable boundaries, while King Thaddeus sinks deeper and deeper into a void of deceit and iniquity, the Sheikah at the tip of his vengeful sword. All of the peoples of Hyrule feel the brunt of their king’s rashness, resulting not only in a war of races, but of morality.


Will the king see reason and release those loyal to him from his path of destruction? Or will all of Hyrule succumb to the wrath of a disillusioned crown?


Only the births of a princess and a hero will light the way…


I'm so excited to share this story with the world! It's been such an adventure writing it, and CASTING it is going to be even more so!


There are a total of THIRTEEN voice acting roles to audition for, 8 female, and 5 male. Peep the descriptions of each character in the roles to figure out your approach! The roles of Kenso, King Thaddeus, and Amaira are already spoken for, FYI.


This project does not require meeting up to record lines. Everyone will record on their own and send their files directly to me :) However, if you need more direction on your character, I'm totally open to having a discord call to brainstorm it with you!


Requirements for this project:

  1. A decent mic. Try your best to minimize background noise and use appropriate gain. The usual!

  2. Have a Discord account. In order to adequately communicate with you and all of the other voice actors that will be involved, I am requiring the selectees to be added to my Discord server in a special, private channel where we can all discuss the deets! You are only required to be there for the duration of the project, and are not obligated to stay in the server! However, I hope you do stay, since we have a lot of fun in there and there are some really cool peeps! Many of them have been voice actors for me in the past, and others are fans of the channel :)

No decisions will be made regarding casting until the deadline! If you have any questions about this project or clarification on what I'm looking for regarding the voices, please let me know!

Queen Zelda is reserved, yet firm in her beliefs. She will advocate for anyone she deems worthy. But she holds deep resentment for her husband, the king, and his less-than-moral decision making. Solemn, but sweet, she is the epitome of queendom. I'm looking for a regal, British accent. She is around 20 years of age.

But I am not here to make excuses for the guard or the king. I only wish to extend my deepest apologies to you and your people. And to accept any punishment that you deem just.”

***Approximate payment: $40 USD.*** Koume is, in Ocarina of Time, quite the old hag, as is her sister Kotake. In this story, we begin 25 years before OOT, however. While Koume is still an old woman, in this story, perhaps she isn't as haggard and senior as she is in-game. She is a serious person, seldom succumbing to the uselessness of humor. All business, all the time! I'm looking for an older woman's voice with a BITE! If you can manage a witchy cackle in your audition, that would be great too, thought it isn't required. Any accent will do. ***NOTE*** Twinrova, the combined form of Koume and Kotake, is also an available role. She will have a "doubled voice," meaning both Koume and Kotake's voices will be used at the same time, except with a younger, more sultry sounding tone. If you auditioned for this role, try out Twinrova as well! Having the same VA for both roles would be ideal.

Kotake is a bit sweeter (though still evil), and she allows more leniency for their son, Ganondorf. Kotake also has a sense of humor, unlike Koume. I'm looking for an older woman's voice with a sweet undertone. Any accent will do. ***NOTE*** Twinrova, the combined form of Koume and Kotake, is also an available role. Her main goal is to investigate a murder, and she distrusts the royal family with fervor. Terrena's voice is strong, bold, and firm. She is intimidating without even trying. I'm looking for a deeper female voice. Any accent will do.

He can see injustice for what it is and dislikes anyone who approves of it. I'm looking for a young adult male voice with a bit of a British Mancunian accent. (Think Charlie from Lost or Samwell Tarly from Game of Thrones!)
