The Girl in the Mirror | GCMM
Project Overview
Whenever Aiden looked in the mirror, he saw a girl, a beautiful girl. She had long brown hair that was pin straight. Whenever he walked up to the mirror the girl looked terrified and disappeared quickly, he saw himself again, he felt it was strange and always told people about it. They all said he was crazy but he wasn’t, he was never lying. One time he saw the girl smiling in the mirror, she looked so pretty, he thought to himself. He snapped out of it and the girl disappeared. Once he arrived at school there had been a new girl. All his friends saw her and told her how beautiful she was and how they already developed crushes for her. Once Aiden walked into the classroom, it was the girl in the mirror, she saw him and he saw her. They felt a connection, a bond, even. She looked away quickly, and didn’t speak. Aiden looked surprised yet had butterflies, he knew he had to talk to her. It couldn’t have been a strange coincidence.
REQUIREMENTS:
- DISCORD. This is the only form of communication we could use.
- NO ECHO/BACKGROUND NOISE. This should explain itself.
- 13+ I want the characters voices to sound mature and that is discord’s requirements.
- EMOTIONS. I want the characters to sound like they are in that specific moment.
- DEADLINES. Please follow deadlines given or you will be replaced.
EXTRA:
- Phone/IPad mics are accepted, please make sure the audio doesn’t have the wind sound.
- A tip for no background audio: recording in a closet or under the sheets

Aiden is 17 with a medium voice range. He’s talkative and over protective. He gets jealous easily and is an average person. He always has a happy expression on his face even if he isn’t happy.
(Angry) I’m not crazy! I swear, she’s real. I see her every time in that mirror it can’t just be any random girl! (Calming tone) I don’t know her but I know she’s real. She’s out there, she knows who I am, even if I don’t realise it’s her or if she realises it’s me.
(Rushing/nervous) Hey! I know this might be a really awkward introduction but I think I know you from somewhere. (Calming tone) You have this familiar, approachable, sweet, and memorisable face.
Melanie is 17 with a calming medium-high voice. She’s shy, yet really sweet when she needs to. She finds it hard to be social and she stays close to only a few people. She’s easily frightened. She loves simple things and is very appreciative.
(Thoughts) W-who is that in my mirror? He looks… Sweet and cute. N-no! I can’t think that, there’s no way he’s real. He’s just a figure of my imagination! It’s just my mind playing tricks on me.
(Nervous) H-hi! I was thinking the same thing I just never thought you also had the feeling. I might sound insane but, did we meet… In a mirror? (Worried, saving herself) It does sound crazy! I just felt like I’ve seen your figure there before.
Laurel is 16 with a medium voice range. She has a unique and open personality. She loves talking to new people! She’s sweet, likeable, and popular. She is overprotective and has anger issues.
(Friendly) Hey! I’m Laurel, and you must be… Melanie! Ms Smith told me about you, she asked me to give you a tour around the school and make you feel at home!
(Angry) Shut up Issac, can you just stop bothering us? Can you not tell that we’re completely uninterested in you. I’m just trying to make her feel welcomed and you’re ruining everything!
Caden is 18 with a medium-low voice range. He’s sweet and Aiden’s only real friend. He’s quiet but is really interesting.
(Annoyed) They are obsessing over the new girl. Well, it’s pretty creepy, but whatever they think is right. And yes I’ve tried telling them to stop. They won’t listen to me.
(Worried) Are you mentally okay Aiden? You’ve been talking about this girl in your mirror, have you ever thought she was just apart of your imagination?
August is 17 with a medium high voice range. She’s shy and quiet. She doesn’t talk about herself often and becomes good friends with Melanie. She is secretly rich.
(Confused/nervous) Why are you talking to me? Nobody ever talks to me.
(Happy/desperate) Can we go to the mall together? I’ve never really had a friendly hangout with someone! I mean, you can invite whoever, I’d just like to take you there! I can pay for everything if you’d like!
(Annoyed) Shut up Zara! Why don't you hang out with your own kind instead of annoying us.
(Excited) DID YOU SEE THE NEW GACHA GAME? It is so interesting! I mean, look at that animation!
Zara is 17 with a medium-high/high voice range. She’s loud and out-going. She has confidence and is extremely rude. She considers herself “one of the boys” and doesn’t hang out with girls. She is the mean girl of the series.
(Yelling) DID YOU HEAR THAT EVERYONE? MELANIE IS A LYING TWO FACED BITCH WHO ONLY WANTS ATTENTION!
(Shy/begging) I-I mean.. I did it all for you Aiden! Don’t you appreciate it? I risked my reputation for you, because you’re my one of my greatest friends. Why do you care for her so much? She’s new and she’s mean!
Medium-high/high - Sorta a Yandere tone (?) - 16
Obsessive, chaotic, crazy, psychopathic.
(Psychopathic) (Scream "Aiden" like you're so desperately in love but really mentally) AIDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Yelling/whiny) WHY WON'T YOU PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!
(Annoyed/confused) Well... Why are you asking for my help? (Yelling/annoyed) Everyone thinks I'm the lunatic, chaotic fangirl, and PSYCHOPATHIC MURDER! WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU EVER NEED SOMEONE LIKE ME TO HELP YOU!
Issac enjoys playing with girls. He is 17 and has a medium voice range. He is annoying and is sensitive.
(Yells) Hey! You, Laurel. (Normal) You still thinking about it or are you up for it?
(Laughs) No way you're obsessed with that new stupid anime game! It's dumb! Can't you do something manly, like... Play sports?
Teacher! She/He teaches the class and barely has lines. You can do whatever voice range for her/him!
Calm, calm students. We'll be beginning our group projects on Astronomy.
Aiden’s mom! She’s 43 and barely has any lines. You can do whatever voice range for her!
(Tired) Whatever you say, now can you get on the school bus? You’re late, really late. It’s been waiting there for 5 minutes!
