Star Wars - The Galactic Holokeeper (Phase 1)

Nei Rin is a female yuuzhan vong, a species that invaded the star wars galaxy from a completely separate galaxy 120 years ago. She tried to help many devastated worlds with their natural terraforming powers as a Master Shaper, but the sith poisoned the efforts, turning the galaxy against them again.


The main character will be interviewing her about her work, now about 15 years ago, what happened, and a first look at Vong culture.

Nei Rin will be the central focus of episode 2 of the channel, and will be a semi-recurring character throughout the first "season." Additionally, if the actress has a good range of talents, I would gladly utilize those with other characters as well, to be determined.

I don't have any specific software requirements, nor is there any  "canonical" voice or accent for the vong. While the written extension on 'jeedai' makes me think of the huttese pirates or other groups, I don't really have a specific voice or accent in mind. The only thing I specifically know I do not want are any american or british descended accents. 

Actually, most of europe and african descended accents are out I think, because I do have some role work in mind for something along that line. When most of the galaxy speaks with an american accent and high imperial is british, it should sound exceptionally foreign. Maybe some form of western asian like Turkish, or greek, middle eastern, some form of generic fantasy "barbarian" or anything else you think may fit!

"Jeedai Master Skywalker had a vision—to use Yuuzhan Vong biotech to transform and restore ailing worlds—and to so transform the galaxy's perception of the Yuuzhan Vong.

Jariah is a bounty hunter/pirate serving under Cade Skywalker. He really dislikes Jedi, due to the death of his father. He ends up disliking them less during the course of the war. He is unwillingly roped into the Legacy era conflicts, fighting alongside Cade and the Jedi. 

While reading the comics, especially after the second "Custom Audition Lines" quote, I read Jariah in a Jamaican or some level of African accent, I don't have a specific sound in mind. And if while looking at it you read him different, I am not married to the sound, thats just what I had heard. Feel free to put a "pirate scum" twist on him or however you wanna do it. 

Jariah Syn will be interviewed by the main character, and he isn't very welcoming to it. Hes a bit sarcastic with the main character "oh so you're not a jedi, right" during their interview. He will likely not be a recurring character throughout the season, except for some sporadic cameos.

"You think we can fry one Sith creespa and get our old life back? Simple as that?"

"Look, me and Cade've been brothers even since Rav hauled Cade's sorry hide onboard the Axe. Always been tight—'cept, of course, when we hate each other's guts... and yeah, sometimes Cade's a nerf. But right now, Cade's getting ready to try and assassinate the baddest Sith in the galaxy. One thing I know about my brother Cade is when to leave the man alone. Cut him a little slack. He'll come back around..."

Marasiah "Sia" Fel is the current Empress of the Fel Empire, the light side aligned Empire of the modern era. She is likely to have a formal interview, due to the nature of her role.

Sia, in High Imperial tradition, will likely have some level of a posh british-esque accent, in the same vein as the Imperials of the Original Trilogy such as Peter Cushing's Tarkin.

She will not be a major recurring character, at least not for a while. Due to her role as empress and working to improve the galaxy, the main character can't get many audiences with her. She may pop up as a recurring character in late season 1 or beyond, as she is a factor in galactic communications after she built a new communications array. But not for a while. 

Marasiah was used as a pawn during the wars, with Darth Krayt trying to have her be bait, then later to have her killed, and she learned much during her training as an Imperial Knight. She is a strong, stern, yet kind and respectful woman with great empathy. She understands a strong ruler without becoming an autocratic military dictator, much like her father, before his fall to the dark side and subsequent death.

Delilah Blue is a Zeltron woman who is the lover and partner of Cade Skywalker, as well as the lead mechanic on his ship, the Mynock. Much like other Zeltron, Delilah was a stereotypical Zeltron, a party girl, living for pleasure and fun. She was also a scam artist, scamming the less fortunate. She came to regret that, being a generally good person, and joined Cade Skywalker's pirate/bounty hunter crew.

Delilah will likely not be a very recurring character, as her, Jariah Syn, and Cade Skywalker all end their story continuing the Bounty Hunter life. She will be spoken to in interview and then likely reappear as a cameo in future stories, much like the others.

I don't have a specific voice in mind for Delilah Blue, but I do have a few notes. I don't really want her to sound LIKE a valley girl, but if you can kind of channel that attitude just a little bit - like you WERE a valley girl 10 years ago, but youve spent the past decade being more of a hardass, learning to be a mechanic, and ultimately, being a bounty hunter.

Delilah is flirtatious, using her feminine charms throughout the comics to varying effects. It allows her to get into a secure hideout to pick up a bounty during our first time meeting her, for example. She is exceptionally talented with machines and is in love with Cade Skywalker. Long before she knew Cade's past, she knew something was broken within him. She is extremely loyal to her friends, despite them constantly threatening to maim or kill each other.

"If you could help me out, I'd be very grateful. And I always pay my debts…!"  -*Trying to get into a safehouse to collect a bounty.*

"Sith assassin, fireball in space… How can I decide? Hand me that spanner, would'ya?" - *Sarcastically, with someone chasing them, while about to launch a ship that might explode just by flying*

Cade Skywalker is the sole remaining surviving descendant of Anakin Skywalker. He is likely Luke's great-grandson, possibly another generation in between. When Cade was in his teens, his home and entire life, the Jedi order, were obliterated. He watched his father killed, nearly fell to the dark side, and then nearly died in space. He spent the next 8 years being a pirate and bounty hunter, entirely abandoning the Jedi path, until destiny forced his hand. 

Cade proceeded to restart his jedi training, then became a sith, then ended up going back to the bounty hunter life after the death of Darth Krayt and the One Sith, abandoning the Order after helping save the day. 

Cade Skywalker is an untrained, undisciplined, but strong and confident character. He has anger issues that he has worked to resolve with Jedi training, but never fully got over them. He had serious hatred towards Darth Nihl, the sith who killed his father, and channels that hatred to the Dark Side numerous times, much to the chagrin of his jedi compatriots - especially his former master, Wolf Sazen. He cares deeply for both Delilah Blue and Jariah Syn, as loyalty is extraordinarily important to Cade. Though he does try to escape from responsibility, wishing that destiny had nothing to do with him. He resented the Skywalker legacy for a long time, actively trying to remove Luke Skywalker's ghost with Death Stick usage. 

Cade used to be addicted to Death Sticks, which he used to dull his connection to the force and convinced himself for a long time that the force ghosts he spoke to were all in his head. Cade is forced into maturity and destiny against his will, growing into an unlikely hero before leaving after the job is completed. 

Voice wise, I am looking for someone that can sort of replicate the Luke Skywalker voice, but with a totally different spin on it. He is a pirate/bounty hunter and some of his speech patterns definitely reflect that. He has no problem Star Wars cussing, as we see with the consistent usage of "kark."

"Kark this 'destiny' sludge. I make my own way!" 

"I don't care, Morne. I'm just looking to get clear of Krayt—and that means I have to kill him. If you or your Sithy bauble can help do that, fine. Meanwhile—leave my crew alone. Remember what I said about the black hole."

Vorric Sae is the deceased Jedi Master of the main character, Tor Vuun. He had sacrificed himself to save Vuun and the other padawans when the sith attacked the jedi home. 

He will be featured in flashback sequences off and on throughout the series, as well as probably appearing as a force ghost at some point in the storyline. 

He is a kind, wise, old iktotchi, a humanoid alien species who generally sound human. He is around 80 years old at the time of death, with flashback sequences beginning *primarily* in his 60s. Any force ghost appearances will be as the 80ish year old man.

I don't have any specific voice style I am looking for. The iktotchi jedi character we have seen on screen in cartoon series sound rather different from each others depictions. I am generally looking for a more mature voice, with the kind of energy that your stern, experienced, kind old grandpa might display. 

Unlike most of the other listings on this project in phase one, this is an entirely original character to help shape the arc of the main character. Theres five sample lines, pick a few and give em a read!
