The Feathered Forest
Project Overview
The D.U.R.E stands for the Department of Unusual Research and Explanation. They are a covert, global organization that focuses on protecting both people and anomalous entitles from danger and threats. They do not focus of containing entities; instead, they focus on researching and learning more about their nature and function. D.U.R.E. strives to maintain positive relationships with unusual entities (UEs), but such actions do not come without risk.
Their objective is to protect the unnatural world of anomalies and entities. When an entity is found, The D.U.R.E.'s job is to find, document, develop research, and then protect the entity. There are several backlogs including information about each entity, about who or what they originally were, and what their abilities are. Any kind of person, thing, or location that possesses abilities that shape reality, change reality, or is deemed super-human in nature is an entity.
Any thing, location, or person who has gone through intense trauma can become an entity or anomaly. However, there are very few documented anomalies where this wasn't the case. Those are something different entirely...

She is one of the main characters for The Feathered Forest. She was originally called there because of the death of her older sister, Adrianna.

“SYLAS!” Screamed. Full of fear for her friend
He's just a little crow guy, he is able to speak English but it comes out scratchy and broken.

“Me forgive you! Me forgive you! Me no want human sad! Me care for all friends! You hungry? Me know tree where good berries grow-” Full of forgiveness, but also afraid to hurt his friend's feelings
A side character. He is a Sergeant in The D.U.R.E. Organization and although a side character, he will be portrayed later on in a future story.

“Because we know that you can not hold back the night forever, and any chance we have to protect those we serve is a chance worth taking.” A little flustered and a little upset
A very key character in this universe, one of the "Experiments" chosen by Aurelius (a future key character).

A very minor character in terms of appearance but is the main reason Sylus (another "experiment") is the way he is now.

Another "Experiment" like Miss Jane was. He was the "perfect outcome", hence why he is so strong physically and mentally.

However, the name I give to you is the one I chose to keep, for it was the name I was given when I came into this world. My name is Sylas Brax, and I would like to ask-” Spoken confidently, but he gets cut off by a companion
