The Fantastic Four: The Audio Drama // MAIN
Project Overview
The FF isn’t a building, Johnny. Or matching outfits. Or even a team. We’re a family… and that will never change.
THIS CASTING CALL IS JUST FOR THE REMAINING UNCAST MEMBERS OF MARVEL’S FIRST FAMILY… THOSE BEING INVISIBLE WOMAN AND THE THING!
A Groovy Show Productions' “The Fantastic Four” is a Spotify Audio Drama consisting of twelve episodes based on "Fantastic Four Vol. 1" that uses the comics history as a stepping-off point and storytelling technique. With the first season going over the early issues of the 1960s, witness a modern retelling of these classic F4 stories given to us decades ago by Marvel Comics!
Some Things and Rules:
An XLR or USB microphone would be preferred! The same goes for high-quality audio, little to no background noise would be ideal as it may not be nice for listeners to hear!
Communication is key, I primarily use Discord to communicate with the voice actors and send scripts and lines! Sometimes retakes are required, multiple takes, and tweaks are necessary so please be open to those. Make sure to also be ready to commit to however long the lines are, as this is a FLESHED-OUT and MODERNIZED adaptation of comics from the 1960s, so lines will be longer, deeper, and the like.
Have fun :)

VOICE REFERENCE:
Erin Torpey’s voice as Sue from “The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” works well! See how that goes! We can also go with Vanessa Kirby, perhaps with an American accent, as she is playing Sue in the 2025 FF movie!
CHARACTER/VOICE DESCRIPTIONS:
A core member of the Fantastic Four, Susan Storm, also known as the Invisible Woman possesses the ability to become invisible and create force fields. Sue plays a crucial role in the team's dynamic. She is not merely defined by her superpowers; her intelligence, leadership skills, and resilience make her a central figure in the superhero world. Susan Storm's ideal voice is authoritative yet compassionate, reflecting her leadership qualities. A balance of strength and warmth captures her character well. The voice should convey intelligence and determination, emphasizing her strategic mindset. In moments of vulnerability, the tone softens, revealing the depth of her character.

VOICE REFERENCE:
And our voice reference for the for The Thing would be Fred Tatasciore’s voice with some more Yancy Street Brooklyn in it! (May not be the best clip! Just look up “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes The Thing” clips!). We can also suggest Ebon Moss-Bachrach as a voice reference with a more Brooklyn accent, as he is playing Ben in the 2025 FF movie!
CHARACTER/VOICE DESCRIPTIONS:
Before his transformation, Ben Grimm was an astronaut and close friend of Reed Richards. During a space mission, the team was exposed to cosmic radiation, leading to their superhuman alterations. For Ben, this resulted in a permanent transformation into a large, rock-skinned, and superhumanly strong creature known as the Thing. Despite his monstrous appearance, Ben Grimm retains a heart of gold. The Thing's voice is a testament to his strength and toughness, resonating with a bold and gruff demeanor that matches his rugged exterior. His dry humor adds a touch of wit to his imposing presence, while the loyalty in his tone reflects the steadfast camaraderie he shares with his fellow Fantastic Four members.
