(Closed) The Discord Dating Game MLP Fanfic Reading (Valentine's Day Special 2022)
Project Overview
Hey everyone! Agent Fluffy here! The month of love is coming near! I am doing a fanfic reading for Valentine’s Day this year called The Discord Dating Game written by DisneyFanatic23! She has given me permission to do readings of her stories. It’s about Discord hosting a dating game show to see who Spike picks as his bachelorette! Lots of shenanigans would ensue!
By the way, this is an unpaid project.
There are some roles available but first, let’s go over the qualifications and rules before sharing what VA roles I need.
Due Dates for Lines (if you are chosen):
January 31st, 2022 (9:00 PM EST)
Please submit auditions ONLY if you know that if you are chosen you will need to meet these due dates.

Below are the qualifications and rules of the casting call for VAs:
Qualifications:
VAs:
1. You must be 17 years old or older to audition for this project. By submitting your audition to this project you are validating that you have met the age requirement.
2. You must have a decent or good quality microphone. (It doesn't have to be professional studio quality.)
3. I'm also looking for your ability to act as the character(s) you are auditioning for. The voice does not have to be show accurate. Your ability to act the character is most important to me.
4. I'm looking for committed, accountable and reliable VAs that will:
Review the scheduled due dates and submit your audition(s) ONLY if you can meet the scheduled due dates.
Once you have been accepted as part of the team, accountability includes:
Checking in once a week with your status on assignments.
Immediately informing me if you need help or something has happened to change your availability that would put your due dates at risk. This would enable us to work together on a resolution PRIOR to due dates.

Rules:
VAs:
1. Leave three (3) seconds of silence at the start of your audition recording BEFORE you say the audition lines of each of the character(s) you are auditioning for. This enables me to listen to your background noise and if needed to determine how much background noise I’ll need to remove during your recording.
2. You must have multiple takes in your audition so I can hear your emotional range of your voice. Three (3) takes are required.
3. I require you to send your audition files separately! (Meaning in one file and one character in each of your audition recordings with 3 takes intact for each line (Line 1 3 times, Line 2 3 times, and Line 3 3 times in that order), not one file for each take separately and/or doing all the characters you are auditioning for in one file! Plus I need it to be raw audio.)
4. I require your audition file(s) to be in either wav, mp3, or m4a format for audio (mp4 or wmv for YouTube auditions).

If you are sending your auditions through email, PLEASE label your audition files as such:

Process
Casting Call: Details of call are in sections noted above.
Casting Call Results: A casting call results video will be released on January 11th (sometime before 11:59 PM EST). At the time of the results, if you are selected, I will immediately need the following from you. Please send this information to my email Agent0Fluffy@ gmail.com (No Spaces) to keep in contact and to turn in VA lines:
Either your email, Skype or Discord
Work: VAs create lines and turn in on or prior to due dates.
Staying in Contact: Weekly touch base on your status. This could be a quick chat, email and/or message.
Production: Once all lines are submitted, I will edit / produce the video.
Release: This fanfic reading will be uploaded on YouTube once it's finished.

(German accent) Oh boy, what do I sound...? (German accent/shocked) I sound like Photo Finish!
(German accent/exclaim) I can’t do this! It’s Spike for Pete’s sake!
Voice Actor
Discord is a draconequus. He loves creating chaos and disharmony. He is eccentric and mischievous. In this story, he hosts a dating game.

(happy/excited) Thank you, thank you! (announce/excited) Howdy, folks and welcome to ‘The Dating Game!’ The show where ponies, and other creatures, find true love! In a moment, we will bring out today’s bachelor who will select from three lovely bachelorettes to go on a date with! Let’s go and meet the lucky ladies, shall we?
(convince) Come on, girls. Admit that you want to stop spending your evenings wallowing in loneliness, with no pony to comfort you in the middle of the night! I know what that’s like after all.
(dismissive) Never mind that. (explain) Every reality show needs some drama. (announce) Let’s talk about what you will win after today’s show! You and the mare of your choice will have a romantic candlelit dinner for two at one of the fanciest restaurants in Canterlot!
Voice Actor
Spike is a baby dragon who helps Twilight out with her tasks and her number one assistant. He is occasionally sarcastic. Females can also audition for this role as well as males.

(demand) Can somepony explain to me what’s going on here?
(read the card) Bachelorette Number One, what is your favorite color? (unamused) Seriously?
(a bit disgusted) Gee. (curious) Okay, next question. If you were pulling an anvil cart, and I happened to be walking by, would you ask me to pull it for you or would you pull it on your own?

Fluttershy is a pegasus. She's the element of kindness. She is kind, soft spoken and shy. She is caring for her friends and her animals.

(curious) Discord? What is going on here?
(curious/confused) I was just looking for you and why does Rarity sound like me while I was affected by poison joke?
(angry/stern) Now, we are going to settle this once and for all, and you two are going to behave yourselves! Understand?
