Project Overview

The linked video is the first part of this saga and can pretty much sum up the personality and disposition of the main character. 


The Dictator is about a ruthless tyrant of an unnamed nation whose paranoia knows no bounds and in this installment, even punishes his wife and brothers severely when they cross him. 

The general Idea behind this video is that dialogue alone can be engaging and entertaining.  That said, the role of the Dictator/Mao is very wordy, The Conversation between he and his brother goes on for some time as he slowly exposes the deceit with a cheerful disposition until the very end. 

The Previous Voice actor for the Dictator has been unable to continue for this role.

What to expect:

Dictator/Mao: As mentioned before, alot of dialogue, even as he exposes his brother, he remains calm and cheerful, he takes pleasure in exposing the lies. Main driver of the Story through exposition. 

Ling: Next most dialouge, but mostly just short repsonses. Having tried to to prevent the affair between Mao's wife and their brother Jun, he remains calm knowing exactly what Mao is capable of

Jun: The half brother who was ignorant of the situation. Few lines BUT there are several lines where the Voice actor must be screaming/yelling in agony. 

Mei: Dictator's wife, Not many lines, mostly responds to Jun's torture and pleading with the dictator to stop the madness.

He's a ruthless, paranoid politician with a smile on his face as he shows each of his victims just where they went wrong. 

He is an older person, in his early 50s but he doesn't sound that old. 

In regards to the lines . First and second lands say normally, but the third line he is serious and offended.

    wife’s the same way, she absolutely deplores the summer weather, I don’t blame
    her and the kids eagerly leaving for the coast during June and July... you should
    too, you work too hard, you deserve a break every now and again

    remember how Mother and Father were, they were so cold to one another, Father
    rarely showed her affection and mother barely spoke 2 words to him… I always
    thought he was bastard for it… until I knew what Uncle Bolin did… do you
    remember?

  • Did
    you honestly think I wouldn’t find out?.... Did either of you really think,
    that I of all goddamn people, wouldn’t see the writing on the wall?.... That my
    eldest, Mako, is the spitting image of our illegitimate half-brother…. Well?

Younger brother of the dictator,  one of the commanders of the military. 


Due to the nature of the video and most of Ling's lines being short responses, these are all serious lines with the most weight behind them, at least for Ling that is.

Jun is the younger brother to both the dictator and Ling. He mostly serves just as the dictator's victim and demonstrates the dictators total lack of sympathy for anyone. His main purpose in this film is just being tortured.
