ABOUT THE STORY:
The 100 Baby Challenge is the top challenge in The Sims Community, spanning multiple genre of Sims Games. I have taken the challenge and turned it into a storyline, which has become “The Curse Universe.” All characters in this series are connected throughout all seasons. This will be an ongoing project. VA’s cast will be asked to stay on through future series as developed. The series is currently subtitled, and its fourth season is in production. Characters that are ongoing will be noted in the character descriptions.
The Curse is an award-winning love story about Emilia Westbrook, who as a young child lost her mother in a tragic accident. After five years of grief, her father, Blake Westbrook, met a woman named Evanora while out with his brother and brother-in-law. What he did not know is that Evanora is an evil spellcaster hybrid who has been expected to bear an heir to her father’s line as part of an ancient treaty with The Royal Alliance. Evanora’s plan that evening was to find a man she could easily seduce to create the heir, and ultimately take over control of her father’s line. Blake, still in love with his deceased wife, and not ready for intimacy, refused.
When Evanora’s time to produce an heir expired, and when it was revealed that she broke the treaty by conspiring with her uncle to kill the parents of her betrothed, she was banished from her clan to a life of solitude and service to her father’s clan for 100 years. As an act of revenge, Evanora waited for Emilia’s 18th birthday and initiated her plan for revenge - kill Blake and Curse Emilia to having 100 children, or face the death of any remaining or future family members, including any man she chooses to marry while under the curse.
The story is throughout Emilia’s life, where she sets out to redeem her family from what has been done to them, while struggling with self-worth and experiencing the unconditional love of four men throughout her life. After The Curse is broken, she is faced with the difficult decision between two of those men, both who waited for her hand throughout the years. Unbeknownst to Emilia, the final father of her 100th child (Caiphus Akron) is a very powerful demonic spellcaster hybrid, and the uncle of Evanora. He conspires with Evanora to produce the child with Emilia. This story continues through future seasons in the series
ROLES AND INFORMATION: All roles are voluntary and unpaid. Full credit and showcasing will be given to all voice actors via multiple socials, such as Twitter, Instagram and within the video credits and description on YouTube.

DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
Auditions will close on April 18, 2022 with first scripts posted in the project discord (invitation after casting is completed) beginning on April 24, 2022. Deadlines will be 2-3 weeks after posting.
For main characters, a brief script (a few lines each) will be provided shortly after casting, with a one-week turn-around of April 27 (for the series trailer)
All scripts will be uploaded to The Discord via Google Docs (See information below regarding Discord requirements).
REQUIREMENTS: First and foremost, have fun! I take pride in bringing together talent to create something truly phenomenal, but none of it means anything if the people involved aren't passionate about their craft.
COMMUNICATION: IT IS REQUIRED THAT ALL VA's CAST IN THIS AND FUTURE PROJECTS BE ON DISCORD.
During casting, I will regularly check in here, or you can reach me via Discord [TheMomCave#6792]
After the project is closed, if chosen for a main role or a potential for a future role/extra, you will be invited to join my voice project Discord. All communication, scripts and lines will be done through the project Discord. Other than posting and processing active casting calls, I rarely check the messages here after a project is closed.
FAMILIARITY WITH THE STORY: All members of the project team will be asked to have familiarity of the story. While the story might change some with the remaster, the core story and characters will remain the same. This also means that, with this project, there is the benefit of being able to “study” the characters prior to auditioning. The best candidates will show some familiarity with the character(s) they are auditioning for. I ask this, as it will give context to your character as a part of the whole storyline.
I ask that all VAs cast will use the current posted series as a way to know the storyline in its entirety. This will ensure the ability to truly capture emotion, personality and submit lines that are authentic to the characters they’ve been cast for. You will have time to watch the original episode(s) prior to recording your lines.

Please be aware that this was my first series, and my production quality has improved significantly. This is why I'm remastering the whole project.
TALENT WILL BE CAST BASED ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
Lines submitted that sound natural, and not as one is “reading” back the script.
Emotions in lines sound natural, not forced or excessive.
Lines that are submitted capture the personality and “essence” of the character. It’s ok to improvise some to show you are familiar with the character you’re auditioning for (as long as the original lines are included)
Lines are clear, without sound issues or need for much editing on my end
Please speak at a natural pace, not too fast, not too slow.
Best fit for the character being auditioned for.
If I cannot hear your audition, I may ask you to re-record it
QUALITY: Please submit clean recordings on prosumer mics (no air conditioners in the background, no fans or other ambient noise). I would prefer to have sound that needs minimal editing on my end. DO NOT ADD EFFECTS TO YOUR LINES. However, if you are able to clean up the audio for a higher quality, that is ok.
Submit at least three of your best takes. If you have more you would like to add, that is ok. However, please remove the takes you don't want to be used.
You will submit your recordings as one .wav file per scene, uploading the files or Google Drive links to the Discord. Rarely will I ask for a re-do, as I value your time. However, there may be instances where I might make this request.
Emilia is at the center of The Curse Series and is a major role in subsequent seasons. The right VA will desire this ongoing role. Emilia is central to this story, and capturing her "essence" will be important.
Emilia starts out as young and naïve. She is from "middle America" and can be quiet, timid and unsure while other times her fighter spirit comes out. She has a gentle quietness about her, but at times can be bold.
[At the hospital, learning her father has died - EP 5] The park in Windenberg? What was he doing there? I need to see him! [learns he has died] NO! That can't be true! I need to see him!
[In an argument - EP 10] First of all, I asked you NOT to come around here drunk anymore Jaxson! And if you ever put your hands on me again, it will be the last thing you do. You need to leave, and don't come back.
[Having hit bottom - EP 18] - My life is meaningless. I'm meaningless. I'm nothing but a danger to everyone I love. All I do is hurt people. I don't deserve my children. I don't deserve any of them.
Evanora is a sharp-tongued, selfish, evil witch. Her sole goal in life was to bear one child to gain power. She can be a seductress, and becomes wildly enraged when crossed. Think Angelina Jolie in Maleficent.
[In an argument with her father - EP 3] I have a plan Father. I have someone eating out of my hand [now raising her voice] I'm asking for six months NOT six years!
[Cursing Emilia - EP 5] It's because of you that I'm here! You are cursed to bearing 100 children, one for every year I'm stuck in this hell hole!
[Being confronted by The Emperor - EP 14] Ah, you must be one of her many men. What would the most eligible bachelor in all the land be doing with someone like her?
Sam is a main character. Her character dies after Episode 1, and she appears in two dream sequences. She may appear in future seasons briefly.
Sam is from Middle-America and is The Girl Next Door. She would have a gentle tone, without any strong accent.
[Casual conversation - EP 1] Can you believe we're having another one? The doctor should call tomorrow and we will find out if Em is going to have a little brother or little sister.
[In a romantic moment with her husband - EP 1] I'm the luckiest woman alive, to have someone like you to love me. I love you Blake Westbrook, with all of my heart.
[In a dream sequence - EP 3] Blake, I have to go. It's not time yet. But, I will see you again soon.
An island native and committed to her community. When she met a young Emilia, she instantly wanted to surround her with support. They became fast best friends. I can imagine Alicia is a bit bold, and slightly sassy at times. And, is kind and gentle in her spirit.
[While showing the property to Em, she asks about her family. Em says she's alone - EP 6] Oh, I'm so sorry. We have a belief here in Sulani that we are one family. You won't be alone here. I promise.
[After gathering islanders to help Em fix up the property - EP 6] They're here for you Emilia. Jace brought his friend Akoni to check the wiring for you. It's The Sulani Way.
[To Emilia in the bride room - EP 22] You look amazing, my beautiful best friend. It's almost time. I'll give you a few moments alone. Take some breaths. You've waited for this day your whole life.
Note: Blake has most of his lines in the first few episodes and another scene in a later episode in this season. He may appear in a few scenes in future seasons as well.
Blake is from middle-America. He is a gentle soul, and not easily angered. Even when angry, he would keep his head about him, except when his wife and child were spoken of in an ill way. Blake would have a mild and smooth tone.
[In a romantic moment with is wife - EP 1] Can I have this dance Mrs. Westbrook? You know that you're my world Sam. I love you more than life itself.
[At his wife's hospital bed as she is dying - EP 1] Sam, Sam, wake up. Don't leave us. We need you. If I had just stayed home. If I had not gone to that meeting, we would be celebrating our son and not in this nightmare.
[Angry with Evanora - EP 3] What did you just say? How DARE you say that about them! Hear me loud and clear Evanora. As long as I'm breathing, I will ALWAYS put Emilia first and I will always love my wife. Now, lose my number.
Roger is a physician who has been intensely in love with Emilia for as long as he has known her. He is Emilia's best friend. Although he would want more, she never saw him that way. Roger is not easily angered, but he can be jealous. He would not raise his voice much, but would get stern if provoked.
[After Emilia fainted - EP 5] Emilia, open your eyes. Your in the hospital. You fainted. I'm so sorry about your dad.
[To Emilia's boyfriend, jealous/protective - EP 15] You know, Em has been through a lot. Her heart is precious. I hope you know that. I'm saying that those who love her don't want to see her hurt again.
[Comforting a grieving Emilia - EP 18] It's going to be ok Em, come here. I'm here for you. I've always been here for you. And I will always be here for you. I love you Emilia. That will never change.
Jaxson is a loner, with a broken past. He struggles with alcohol addiction and tried to maintain sobriety after he met Emilia. He is gentle and kind, until he becomes jealous. He then becomes angry, mean and violent. There is a scene in this series where Jaxson attempts to take his life by alcohol overuse.
[Meeting Emilia in the Bar - EP 7] - You know, they say bartenders make the best therapists.
[Arguing with Emilia, had been drinking - jealous EP 9] You two looked pretty cozy together. I didn't know doctors make house calls anymore Emilia.
[Talking to his therapist in rehab - EP 11] I realized I had become the one person I never wanted to be like. I became a mean drunk, just like my father.
Antony is Blake's older brother, and is devastated after losing him. He would have a gentle tone, sensitive and kind.
[Saying goodbye to his niece - EP 6] - Em, you know you don't have to leave. I promised your dad that if anything ever happened to him I would take care of you.
[Finally found his niece after 20+ years of searching Ep 22] That woman cursed you, and all these years you've had to bear that burden for our family. At barely 18, I can only imagine how hard that was for you.
[Seeing his niece in her wedding dress, full of emotions EP 23] You look just like your mom did on their wedding day. They're with you Em. They're right here with you, and are so proud of you.
Lord Ibrahim is the head of The Thanatos Clan. He is a powerful spellcaster. In the scene he appears, he is beyond exasperated with all Evanora has put the clan through, and ready to be rid of her forever.
His character appears in one scene in The Crown (a future season)
[Addressing Evanora in Council Court - EP 4] Evanora, six months ago you assured this council that you had a plan to finally produce an heir. However, you have once again failed to do so.
That sounds an awful lot like the excuse you used when you ruined the betrothal to the Revato's only son. You ruined our plans to take control of Glimmerbrook, and assume control of our people.
As outlined in The Ancient Treaty, you are banished for 100 years in service of this clan. All freedoms are revoked, and you shall live in isolation.
Pierre is an evil and powerful spellcaster. He would have a constant annoyance in his tone and is exasperated with his daughter. I imagine he would have a moderately deep voice.
[Irritated with his daughter - EP 3] I wanted to know why you've failed at the one thing in life you have been tasked to do, produce an heir. The council's patience has worn out, and so has mine.
[Again, irritated. Evanora asks for more time - EP 4] You know full well that is not possible. We MUST follow the treaty!
[EP 4] I suggest you change your tone and mind how you address this council.
James is an ex-con who is living in Sulani on work release. He becomes obsessed with Emilia. He would have a rough tone, as one who has lived his life running the streets. He is a smooth talker to get his way.
[Meeting Em for the first time - Ep 12] Emilia? What a beautiful name. [to Jace] Are all the ladies here that gorgeous?
[Talking to his friend in the bathroom about drugging Em after catfishing her - EP 14] Yea man, I don't know what this girl's deal is. But, she's had a few too many and I've brought something to relax her for later.
[Kidnapping Emilia - EP 15] Do not make a sound. You thought your boyfriend could keep me away from you. I guess you were wrong. You see, I always get what I want Emilia, one way or another. We are going to walk to my car. You will not talk to anyone who passes by.
Jace is an island "bro." Slightly cocky, but with a sense of humor and is light-hearted. He would be one who acts like he doesn't have a care in the world. He is protective of Emilia and devastated when he learns it is his employee that kidnaps her. He loves her like a sister.
[Meeting Emilia for the first time - EP 6] I'm Jace, Alicia's younger, but much more attractive brother.
[Explaining what he knows about Emilia - Ep 6] I don't know man. Alicia just told me that both her parents died and that her dad passed away just recently. She just said she needed a change of scenery when I asked her.
[When he learns he knows who kidnapped Emilia - Ep 16] We talked to some of the locals and they said they saw her with someone dressed all in black. They noticed he had a scar across his face. It's my fault. I should never have hired him. I shouldn't have brought him here.
