Hello everyone we're back with another casting call for the collector series. For those who are new to the project, The Collector is an anthological podcast series which explores the themes of horror, myths and urban legends. So come and join us into the abyss as we descend into the depths of humanities sins.

DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
The deadline for auditions is November 12th. We currently have no plans to extend this deadline, as the full script for episode 2 is ready to be released for the voice actors. We’ll notify the voice actors who have been cast in roles on the 12th or 13th of November depending on the quantity of auditions.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We communicate primarily through Discord. If you are unfamiliar with this application, you can still audition, however, we strongly recommend participation through Discord so that you can collaborate with your fellow voice actors.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
First, have fun! We take pride in bringing together talents in different mediums to create something we’re proud of, but none of it means anything if the people involved aren't passionate about their craft.
Please submit clean recordings on prosumer mics (no air conditioners in the background, no fans -- we don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, however too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice). And speaking of clean-up -- please let us handle the post-production. Don't add effects to your lines -- leave that to us.
Feel free to cut your lines to your best/favourite takes. Three is the gold standard. We have a few voice actors that would rather give us more takes, and that's okay, too. However please at least remove the takes you don't want to be featured on the podcast.
Episode synopsis
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But what happens when one becomes so focused on this concept of “beauty”? Chloe uncovers this harsh reality when an unknown entity has its eyes on her
A young girl who’s personality can be described as a “ spoilt princess”. She wants the best because she believes that she deserves the best. Unless she deems it worthy, everything is beneath her. Will use whatever tactic she can to get what she wants. Overall her main focus is things she considers beautiful
Pretty people always get what they want
Noooo. I don’t want any of the other stupid ugly dolls. I know what's pretty and what's not.
My mum always taught me to value beauty over anything. To be the best, you have to look the best. Helen doesn’t even try to find the beauty in things. When it comes to gifts she’ll just pick anything off the shelf. I don't know why dad married her, she's not even pretty.
Chloe’s stepmother who is in her early thirties. She is a calm collected woman who is at her breaking point.
She tries her best to be a good mother to Chloe but she refuses to give in to her every demand. She learned from Chloe's previous mother, and her father, that Chloe has been given more gifts than she knows what to do with. Helen wants to have a good relationship with her step daughter but she doesn't want to repeat the same mistakes that she believes her parents have been making.
Frankly she is tired of the disrespect she receives from the young girl.
But you haven’t even given them a shot. If you would see past their looks I’m sure you would find their inner beauty.
You are at work at all hours of the day and so i'm forced to be talked down to by a child who doesn't respect me.

A calm and cheerful owner of a toy shop. Over the years he has opened the shop, he has met many spoilt and ill mannered children. So when Chloe enters his store with a bad attitude, he knows how to keep appearances
Good morrow! Welcome to Dollique the doll boutique, how can I assist you?
You see, Sophie means a great deal to me. She has been with me as long as I can remember. She is one of my.. special dolls. A very special doll that can only be played with by good little girls.

Also in his early thirties. Darin is a loving father and caring husband. Darin wants the best for his daughter and will bend to her wills if it will keep her happy. He loves Helen and cares for her the same. The duality of trying to appease both the women in his life that are at odds with one another is characterised in his happy but woeful voice

Look Chloe, this dinner is really important. Mr. Fischl is looking to buy one of the expensive houses we have on offer. The commission alone would be enough to buy all the dolls you could ever want.
A young innocent girl who serves as the moral compass to Chloe’s erratic behaviour. She is the ying to her yang. The good to her bad.
Um i like your doll’s dress but she's a little scary looking

A strong voice and demanding presence. Mr Fischl commands the room and forces others into silence when he is to speak
