Heya everyone! This casting call here is for an audio reading of a short fanfiction I wrote once upon a time for Dark Souls.

Fading Soul is part of a series of short stories that describes the backgrounds behind the various Soul items you can pick up in the Souls series. The Chronicles of The Souls. From Soul of A Giant to Soul of A Lost Undead, the series was designed to bring angst and suspense to many, whilst also bringing to life the items in question in an attempt give more depth to the already deep lore of the Dark Souls World.
This one-shot is suppose to be emotional. Don't skimp on the emotion, but also follow any guidelines I provide in the script. You may be required to perform background SFX for your character if requested. I.E. Pained grunts or gasps for air.
All characters listed are characters ready to be voiced RIGHT NOW.
VOICE REQUIREMENTS
Multiple takes are encouraged (2-3) for each audition line but NOT required!
You must follow the voicing instructions crystal clearly. Any audition with mess-ups on specific instructions w/o any attempts to fix WILL BE disqualified.
Audition Requirements:
-Crisp, clean audio. No hums*, pops, hisses, or background noise. Any audition with these found inside WILL BE disqualified!
*Hums, if distant enough to be hardly noticeable, can pass auditioning ONLY if the voice actor can remove them when asked.
-Show emotion! Any audition without emotion or effort WILL BE disqualified!
-Communication is strictly CCC due to the extremely short nature of this project.
-Have fun!
If you are disqualified, feel free to re-audition! There is no negativity here, only positivity and room for improvement!

I closed the Narrator role so I may go through the lucky people who were shortlisted. For those of you whom I told were shortlisted, keep an eye on your emails for updates from me! I'll be going through the shortlisted auditions soon!
As the title states, I've gone through all auditions except for Anri of Astora. I will be going through her auditions tomorrow! Keep an eye open and thank you to all who auditioned thus far!

The Narrator is the main voice of the fanfic. Having the sole purpose of reading the main fic aloud for the audience to hear and visualize. You will be the face of the fanfic. Sparking emotion with your vocals and your tone, and even from your own emotion. Read well!
I'm the Narrator. I have come to tell you this story of a stark soul that has fallen from grace. Hear me, and prepare to not cry as we find ourselves reading the story of a poor unfortunate that has fallen in the world we call by various names.
Anri of Astora is a Knight hailing from the land of Astora. She's unique in the story of Dark Souls 3, being the only character who's gender is determined by the Player's gender. Being female if the Player chooses to be male, and vice versa. She is on a quest just like Player, seeking the Lords of Cinder. More specifically, Aldrich of the Deep. In this short story, she comes across a Fading Soul, and holds it up for her companion, Horace, to see. Commenting on how small, how insignificant, the soul seems to be.
Anri's female voice is a lighter, more younger female voice. If you can achieve that, then you are welcome to audition.
I am Anri of Astora. I travel with my companion, Horace, to seek out and defeat Aldrich of the Deep. However, my journey requires the souls of the fallen, and to find a Fading Soul, sitting alone on the precipice of changing times. Well, what seems to be an insignificant soul can be a great source of power for anyone venturing in these dark lands...
Horace the Hushed is a mute of a knight. Hailing from an unknown land, he travels with his companion and dear friend, Anri. When first met in game, he only grunts as he gives the Player the Blue Sentinel covenant, perhaps sensing something within the Player and gifting them the ability to protect Anri when he is no longer capable of doing so (That was a fanon theory, by the way.)
During the events of the game, the worst comes to pass, and he hollows out, going insane upon being separated from his traveling companion. In the event of the fanfiction, he simply joins Anri in gazing in wonderment at a Fading Soul, still clinging to life after years of isolation.
Horace the Hushed, per his namesake, doesn't speak. He simply communicates in grunts and groans. Perhaps he is truly mute, or perhaps he just doesn't wish to speak. The horrors of the land taking it's toll on his mind. Do as many takes as you like for this role.
