The Children of Light is a passion project ive been working on for Six years now about a young girl named Mitsuko who is forced into a stressful and difficult situation after being crowned empress, with her palace being taken over by the son of a god she has to fight to get her kingdom back and to avenge those she lost

Queen of the sun kingdom and Mother to Mitsuko, she is regal and calm and very motherly. She is a side character and loves to tell stories. She is a middle-aged woman, maybe in her 40’s? She has a gentle voice and is a very loving person.

(Worried) “Oh my dear what's wrong? Are you okay?”
(Normal, calm) “The kingdom is fine and this years harvest has been very fruitful”
Sister of Queen Carlent and willing maid of her. Harper became a maid of the palace to be with her niece more often. Harper is a very sassy and bossy girl but she is very kind hearted and emotional at times. She is in her 30’s and is often very motherly.

(Gossiping) “I heard that Aylin had an affair with one of the guards! You didn't hear it from me!”
(happy, emotional) “Look at you Mitsuko, my baby is all grown up…”
Lily is Mitsuko’s nanny and basically raised her, she is very emotional and kind, she can be timid with people she doesn't know but is overall a very kind girl. She is in her thirties and is Harper's best friend.

(Emotional, crying) “My baby girl is all grown up… look at how big you are!”
(Shy, timid) “Oh… well- I um, I just thought that blue would look better than the green-”
The son of a high ranking official, Taiten is a massive flirt and around 14-16, he is a charmer and is very good at getting his way, he is one of the antagonists of the story, seeming innocent at first and then betraying the main characters. He is very manipulative and cunning.

(Manipulative) “I have no idea what your talking about Mitsuko, are you sure you didn't make that up?”
(Menacing? Make it sound evil.) “I'm saying that you fell right into our trap. You are so naive.”
The main antagonist of the story, known for being the son of the goddess Lilota he was abandoned as a child by the woman who adopted him and he was stripped of his title as heir to the Strigalian throne. He is manic and is smiling most of the time despite the situation. He is basically evil in its purest form.
