The Shadow Roses: A Delinquent Dating Sim is the visual novel in which your goal is to form relationships of all kinds with delinquents of a gang, who call themselves The Shadow Roses. You have just moved into the city to begin your career as a reporter. On a mission to dig up the most scandalous story you can find, you discover a group who can give you all the information you need...for a price. What's the worst that could happen? With a variety of endings for each dateable character, secret routes, and all different paths to take, determine the delinquent who stole your heart in this thrilling visual novel.


I am looking for voice actors, artists, and musical composers alike! Backgrounds, sprites, and music of all types is desperately needed, as I am just one person working on this entire production. If you are looking to submit something or have any further questions, please contact me through private messages, and I will give you my email if needed.


Basic Rules:
1. You MUST be okay with LGBTQ+ characters!

2. Please use a mic of decent quality. Minimal background noise is preferred.

3. I must have some way to communicate with you. Discord, Skype, email, etc.

4. If casted, please be committed to your role! Every role is important, and if I have to recast somebody, it will greatly set back the production of this visual novel.

  • Update!!

    Wow! Thank you all so, so much for showing interest in this project! You're all incredibly talented, and making the casting list is going to be very difficult. I've decided to extend the deadline another month for several reasons. I still need to finish some script, create character concepts, and a lot of other things. This is not a project that is going to be finished very easily. I hope you all understand, and thank you very much for your patience. Some new things: 1. School and work are taking up a lot of my time when this project isn't. I may be inactive for days at a time. I have not abandoned anything or anybody, and I apologize for the inconvenience. 2. I changed some names, and added a couple new characters (go audition for Charlotte and Jax!!) 3. Because I don't have an artist yet, I'll be making the character looks myself for the time being. These are just concepts, and may change entirely by the time this VN is complete. Thanks so much everybody!!

MC -- Main Character -- is the character played by the reader of the visual novel. There will be a feature that allows you to customize your character, so there will be a male and female option to the gameplay.

Blair is the leader of The Shadow Roses, and one of the dateable characters in the visual novel.

All twenty-four years of her life, she knew what she was going to become. Her father was the original leader of The Shadow Roses, who tragically passed away some time ago. She learned from the best, so she was able to take charge of her role with great confidence, and with great leadership she still carries her gang high today. She is best known for her lack of seriousness, constant sarcasm and boldness. Don't let her unprofessionalism and youthful looks fool you though; she is one of the deadliest people in all of Vesper City.

Blair's voice should be range medium, never showing any honest emotion unless the situation is grave or dire.

  • [Defensive] What are you talking about? I'm a people person!

  • [Annoyed] Please pull your head out of your ass. It's not a hat.

  • [Intimidating] Are you lying to me? You know I don't like liars. You best tell the truth now, so I can decide if I should rip your head off your shoulders sooner rather than later.

Xander is Blair's right-hand man, and one of the dateable characters in this visual novel.

Xander seemed to be leading a perfectly normal life. He had a full scholarship to his dream school, loving parents and money to live well off of. He had to abandon that lifestyle when he was rescued by Blair and a few others after standing on the brink of death, simply because they felt generous that night. From then on, he's been loyal to The Shadow Roses, and used his impressive intelligence and technology skills to provide intel for the gang. While he shares a strong bond with Blair, his attitude hardly ever changes; distant, mysterious, but not unfriendly.

Xander's voice should be in medium range. He is extremely professional and polite. The complete opposite of Blair.

  • [Stoic] Why should I feel sorry for you? You were unable to meet your quota. You know our rules-- there's nothing I can do about it.

  • [Casual/Relaxed] Well, I guess that's what we get for recruiting a bunch of idiots.

A 25-year-old woman of pure brawn, Mads relies on her muscles to get her out of bad situations, rather than her brain. With her dull wits, this seems to happen a LOT. But what she lacks in intelligence, she makes up for in amazing strength and oftentimes encouraging words. She looks as intimidating as she's built; she takes on the looks of a butch and wears them proudly.

Mads's voice is medium-low range. It should be very gruff, as she is scarily tough.

Sadie is a member of The Shadow Roses, and a dateable character in this visual novel.

As the youngest member of the gang, just turning 20, you would think Sadie wouldn't have to live up to very many high expectations. However, her tiny stature and innocent features are very misleading. She is one of the gang's most valued combatants. She is lightning-quick on her feet, and has trained long enough to take down even Charlie with the right strategy. Still, she mostly behaves likes a younger sister. Sometimes sweet, sometimes bratty.

Sadie's voice should be high range, but not so much that she sounds like a child.

  • [Curious] Hey, what's that look for? You've been staring at me for the past minute now.

Charlotte is a member of The Shadow Roses, and one of the dateable characters in this visual novel.

Charlotte does not partake in getting her hands dirty with violence, but rather with her own intelligence. Long before she was forced into the gang, she was a Chemistry major at one of the most prestigious colleges in her area. Tragically, she had to put her promising career on hold while she is forced into work for The Shadow Roses. She lives angrily and hot-headed, as she is powerless over her own freedom. Though, on days she's in a particularly good mood, she may compete with Xander over "who's smarter".

Charlotte's voice is range high-medium. Unless in a certain situation, she always seems to have an attitude when she talks.

  • [Irritated/Sarcastic] Oh, I'm sorry. I can't always guarantee satisfaction when you're on an acid trip.

  • [Quiet/Upset] Why should I? What is she gonna do? ...I'm...I'm not scared of her. Not anymore.

Levi is a bit of a work-in-progress. Being the newest recruit, just 21 years old, he is terrified of everything and everyone he sees. Still, he admires Blair a great deal, and wants to please her however he can. He tries his best, but is quite clumsy, and often winds up in situations that require his saving. Though, they see him less as a burden and more of a little brother.

Levi's voice should be slighter higher than everyone else. He has a sense of innocence to him that has yet to be lost.

Emmett is a member of The Shadow Roses, and a dateable character in this visual novel.

Emmett is the oldest member of the gang at 27, but that doesn't make him any less of a valuable asset to the team. He has the best aim in all of Vesper City; he almost never misses a shot. He's been with the gang so long, he's formed a strong bond with each member-- who seem to be his only companions. He doesn't talk to anybody outside of The Shadow Roses. He acts aloof, distant, and cold to every stranger he meets. Even with the gang, he keeps quiet, and mostly to himself.

Emmett's voice is range low-medium. Slightly gruff, but not excessively.

Jax is a member of The Shadow Roses, and a dateable character in this visual novel.

Self-proclaimed 'the prettiest of all The Shadow Roses', Jax is best known for his natural charm and good looks. So much so, that he's used to being treated practically like royalty. Yet, somehow, he still knows to respect his leader, and even puts her above himself. He is excessively flirtatious, oftentimes arrogant, and selfish; thus completing his heartthrob personality. He's also known to be a bit overprotective of what he cares for.

Jax's voice is range medium. Somehow, everything he says is always smooth and charming. **ACCENT PREFERRED**
