Damian Wayne is the son of Bruce Wayne, aka Batman. In our pilot episode of the Batman Audio Series: Rebirth, Damian will make his first appearance with only one line at the end of the first episode, being the stinger. From that point onward, he will be a series regular.
“You imbeciles. If you two would’ve ceased your petty squabbles, you could’ve found him by now. You could’ve found my father."
“Why should you care, Drake? You think you deserve father’s acceptance with how expendable you are? You’re just a replacement of a replacement. Soon to be replaced yourself.”
“Your pathetic need to compensate for your clear lack of importance is wasting everyone’s time.”
“Y-you, weren’t supposed to know! It was… It was supposed to be beautiful! For his return!”
“He will be back! The king of p-pure anarchy is coming, an-and Gotham will be restored to it’s former glory of chaos!”
“Definitely, It’s not like we’re billionaires or anything Alfred… Oh Wait.
“I didn’t put on the cowl because I gave up on him. I put on the cowl to give hope to the people of Gotham. I didn’t want this, I still don’t want this.”
"It’s over Julian! I’m taking you back to Arkham. You need help!"
This is really an "up for interpretation" role. The Audio Series will have narration throughout the entire series so whoever wants to play the role must know they'll be in for the entire ride.
Gotham City. Every day of the week there was a different type of crime. This week in particular, Julian Day, aka the Calendar Man was responsible, his crazy antics being followed closely by the city’s protector in the shadows. On Monday, Calendar Man stole the priceless lunar necklace, Tuesday was trying to burn down Gotham Observatory. It just seemed like Batman was ten steps behind him at every angle. But today, it was different. Today he had a lead on his location, via an anonymous tip. He was going to end the Calendar Man’s reign of terror, and he was only rooftops away.
Batman descended below from the rooftops onto a fire escape, spying on the apartment across the alleyway. This seemed to be the place. He scanned the area with the thermal vision designed in the cowl, but it appeared completely clear. Calendar Man sat alone facing away from the him in his messy lair, papers scribbled on frantically as if he was in a panic. He took the occasional moment to look at the many varying watches on both of his wrists, seemingly busy preparing for the day’s caper. Batman catapulted from the metal bars he clung from, gliding swiftly to the other building, before abruptly colliding into the window, shattering the glass with his legs now in front of him, making his entrance.
Julian had been caught unprepared to face the Bat. Realizing this, he reluctantly put his hands up in fear, trembling. While the Batman apprehended Calendar Man, he noted the paper’s scattered not only on the desk, but on the floor, and even pasted on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. They all had one message scrawled on them.
Tim, if anything happens, I'm right around the corner, ok? Please, please don't do anything stupid.
And now you’re sounding exactly like Bruce, and that’s not a compliment. All I’m saying is that you should talk to Dick. I mean, Robin’s were always supposed to be better at communication, I’d know.
Once a Robin, always a Robin
“Just alerted the police of Julian’s whereabouts. That should leave you with enough time to do what you need to do. Remember, in and out: you don’t need to see Dad until Thanksgiving, alright?”
“I know, but I’m worried he might see Dick Grayson instead of Batman, he’s not the police commissioner for nothing.”
“I had a pretty good handle on my cape, Bruce did, even Tim,”
*awkward silence*
“Still sore about that, are we?”
