Gotham City. Every day of the week there was a different type of crime. This week in particular, Julian Day, aka the Calendar Man was responsible, his crazy antics being followed closely by the city’s protector in the shadows. On Monday, Calendar Man stole the priceless lunar necklace, Tuesday was trying to burn down Gotham Observatory. It just seemed like Batman was ten steps behind him at every angle. But today, it was different. Today he had a lead on his location, via an anonymous tip. He was going to end the Calendar Man’s reign of terror, and he was only rooftops away.
Batman descended below from the rooftops onto a fire escape, spying on the apartment across the alleyway. This seemed to be the place. He scanned the area with the thermal vision designed in the cowl, but it appeared completely clear. Calendar Man sat alone facing away from the him in his messy lair, papers scribbled on frantically as if he was in a panic. He took the occasional moment to look at the many varying watches on both of his wrists, seemingly busy preparing for the day’s caper. Batman catapulted from the metal bars he clung from, gliding swiftly to the other building, before abruptly colliding into the window, shattering the glass with his legs now in front of him, making his entrance.
Julian had been caught unprepared to face the Bat. Realizing this, he reluctantly put his hands up in fear, trembling. While the Batman apprehended Calendar Man, he noted the paper’s scattered not only on the desk, but on the floor, and even pasted on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. They all had one message scrawled on them.
