A Bandit has to rob a stagecoach in order to prove himself to a prospective bandit gang. However, when the stagecoach has a child inside, he questions his choices.

This is the lead role for my film.
Cassidy is a coyote cowboy who likes to fill his life with noise– his biggest fear is to be alone with himself. In a form of desperation, he joins a bandit gang. He wants nothing more than for his fellow bandits to respect and look up to him, but he doesn’t have the chops for a criminal lifestyle. He can be quick to anger, but you can tell there’s a passionate heart lying underneath.
I’m looking for someone with a higher male voice- transmascs welcomed/encouraged. Cassidy speaks very expressively. He will also have a little southern twang, as he’s part of the old west :D
I imagine him to have a tendency to lose his nerve a little when he gets caught in his emotions.
CASSIDY(shouting): Pull over! (beat, frustrated sigh) I said Pull over!
CASSIDY (desperately): You don't get it. I need to do this, or they won't let me join them. It's just a little setback... I can figure it out. I can't be on my own again.

The Jackalope is a manifestation of Cassidy’s consciousness. She is a creature made of shadows, and is seemingly omnipotent/all-knowing, at least on the subject of all things Cassidy. She is like the ghosts of “A Christmas Carol”: she is there to guide Cassidy to be a better person and make the right decision. She is a bit off-putting in her nature, but not in a way that is straight up creepy or horrific– more just monotone. Think Ms. Cobel from “Severance”, or The Death Spirit from Guillermo Del Toro's "Pinocchio"
I’m looking for a deep, mature feminine voice, transfem actors are highly encouraged to apply. Looking for a neutral american accent. This is a secondary lead role.

Cassidy’s dad is a man weathered by the land and his rough lifestyle as a cowboy in the Great Plains. Despite his hard life, he wants the best for his son, and loves him more than anything. He’s wise and deep in subtle ways, and has a big loving heart.
I’m looking for a deep, gruff male voice with some parental warmth. He, like Cassidy, is a cowboy, so I’d like for a southern accent.

Music really brings joy for us cowfolk, Cass- makes those long journeys less lonely. That song is a special thing... don't let anyone take that from you.

This is a secondary character within my thesis film-- He's older, colder, rugged, and experienced in the ways of being a bandit. He is only out for himself, and anyone he works with is just for the sake of his own gain. He manages his group well, but only to keep them in line, not to be their pal, no matter how much honey he puts on.
