Project Overview
Welcome!
My name is Apaolo. I am an amateur musical artist who leans towards making very experimental music using a VERY bad midi program just for fun. For my next trick, I am composing and producing a prog-metal album with an emphasis on jazz (Guitar, bass, piano, synth, drum kit, saxophone, and various other bits and bobs).
"The Anti-Misfortunates" is an album that will likely contain 6-8 tracks total, including a title track and an epic. The songs are about normal metal length, ranging between 5-9 minutes, with the exception of the epic and title track.
The only thing I cannot produce with bad midi sounds is vocals, which I am not capable of producing myself. So I have come to YOU to retrieve some amazing, metal vocals.
Over the span of however long it takes, I will be working alongside 1 or more of YOU to create the ultimate, amazingly inconsistent and outlandish listening experience. Timeframes will be extremely loose and forgiving and payment will be dependent on how much vocalization you produce. You could do only 1 song, or the entire album, depending on what YOU want and how I think of your performance. Professionally unprofessional.

Bare in mind that you will very likely not receive any attention for this work, as I have a virtually non-existent fanbase and create music for the sole purpose of giving 80 year olds strokes. I am ONLY presenting this opportunity to singers out there because I personally want to help the art/music community flourish, which I hope to do by paying people left and right for all sorts of stuff. I will NOT be receiving any money from this project and expect little-to-nothing in return, but just want to make shitty music for the sake of making shitty music. My only hope is that you'll enjoy the ride with me.

You will provide a singing voice for the album! The music, as stated above, is a very "proggy" metal without the need for any shrieks, growls, or squeals. You will be required to get loud, however.
I'm looking for a voice that is able to sound beautiful when soft and majestic when loud. Vocalists I think of that best fit my vision are: James Labrie, James Hetfield, Tommy Karevik, and Ross Jennings. These vocalists are all fairly different, but I'm not very picky and am willing to experiment with a variety of styles.
As this is prog metal, you may (will) be forced to sing through odd time signatures, so please be prepared and/or ready for that.
Lastly, all you need is a decent enough microphone, any program that allows you to properly record and export .wav files, and your own amazing voice. You also must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
