Prepare for an all new adventure.
It is the fourth year of the French Revolution. What started as a noble cause has turned into a bloody Reign of Terror. Belle, unable to sit back while innocent people suffer, has begun smuggling them out of the city. Little does she know, outside of the city, in the forest of Gevaudan, something waits for her — something mythic, something of legend, something beastly.
We are auditioning for a new fantasy adventure podcast called The Adventures of Beauty and the Beast.

Our new podcast, The Adventures of Beauty and the Beast is officially casting for Season 1 Episode 2!
Episode 1 of the show is already recorded and in post-production.
Episode 2 of the show includes 3 new speaking parts: Armand, a 30-ish male who is a trusted messenger; Maria, a 30-ish maid servant of the household; Father Florian, an eccentric elderly priest in prison and awaiting execution. Both Armand and Maria will be recurring characters in future episodes.
At this time, roles are unpaid, aimed at those who are trying to build a portfolio or want to get started in voice acting. However, actors of any skill level are welcomed to apply!
Auditions for these parts will close May 10, 2020.

Female, late 20’s or early 30’s. A trusted maid servant in the household.

Male, older, 65+. A prisoner, waiting for his execution. Once a vital, brave man who faced many strange and dangerous things, now an older gentleman who knows the end is coming. The strange things he has seen makes him a little eccentric, but he is also wise and cunning.
Is it time? Has my time finally come? Is tonight the night I lay beneath Madame Guillotine and she gives me a kiss good-night? No? Then have you come to see the queen? Alas, I cannot show her to you. They will not show her to me. She is several floors above us, never has a moment to herself, so I hear.
Do you know this building? Do you know where you stand? This fortress was built in the twelfth century by the Knights Templar! It was built to keep evil
out, but now it keeps evil in!
I was called a zealot by some, but I was young and full of belief -- belief makes a young man powerful. Old men live vicariously through young men to reap their rewards. It is, perhaps, why I now live behind these bars.
But, what are you asking me? Why are you asking me this? Where were you and what did you see?
(a pause)
The Beast of Gevaudan!? Impossible! You saw the Beast of Gevaudan and lived to stand before me now!?
(a pause)
Everyone’s heard of it! And everyone in that flea-infested town has a story about it!. Even General Lafayette says he used to hunt it as a boy! Give me that
candle. Show me your face.
(beat)
You have seen it! This isn’t a test or a trick, you’ve seen it!
