The Adventure of Plant: A Smash Ultimate Machinima (Secondary Characters)
Project Overview
In a distant land, an evil kingdom rises unseen. After a warning from God, Richter travels to Bowser's kingdom to find a hero to stave off this evil, and finds a nervous Piranha Plant named... Plant. Together with a plethora of allies, Richter and Plant must return to defeat the evil Princess Parsnip and save the world from total domination.
This Casting Call is for secondary characters in TAP, from major characters like the royal siblings to bit characters like Mario. You don't necessarily have to be consistently available to audition for these characters, unless otherwise noted.
As for the auditions themselves:
* No background noise
* No pitch-shifting
* If you stutter, feel free to leave it in as long as you record a clear version of the line as well
* (optional) Have a Discord account so you can keep up to date on TAP developments. A Discord invite will be sent to you for TAP's server if you were cast

The ruler of the Koopa Kingdom, caught up in a constant war with a red plumber over a princess. He's temperamental, loud, and yet quite caring toward both his family and his troops. He is not the MOST present of the secondary cast, but he is the one to send Plant and Lemmy on their journey.
The voice I want? Deep and growly.
(flustered and somewhat irate) H-Hey! Don’t just gloss over the fact that you didn’t even give me an hour to set up my castle! Besides, you guys crash our Father-Son hangouts every year, why should this be any different!? Why am I always the bad guy here?
(resigned) *sigh* We’ve been going at this for years now, since before you were born, Jr. As much as I improve, he improves all the same. I don’t know if we’ll ever close the gap completely.
(sheepish and apologetic) No! No, that’s not it. I’d love to travel up there to kick some dark behinds! It’s just that… After a recent incident, I don’t have enough help to give you. We still need to rebuild.

The princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, constantly kidnapped by Bowser for reasons we're not privy to in this series. She's romantically involved with a certain red plumber, and somewhat nonplussed about how often she gets kidnapped.
I'd like a similar voice to how she's portrayed in the Mario games, but don't feel like you need to do an impression.
(flustered and irritated) For the love of… We have agreed-upon times of the week for these things!
(sassy and humorous) Heehee! Mario has a direct line to our castle now! The moment I’m not safe, he gets a message!
(apologetic) Yeah, Bowser tried to get the drop on us. We were in the middle of discussing just how rude his timing was.

He's a VERY minor presence in the overall narrative, so my only real requirement is sounding convincingly like a child.

(angry and determined) Alright, I’ve had it! You may have gotten my buddies, but Dad and I are gonna kick your sorry butt back to your house!

Mario's only appearance is in episode 1, so as long as you can nail a Mario impression, you'll be golden.

The crown prince of Atrea, a kingdom far to the West of the Koopa Kingdom, who effectively manages the place in lieu of his father. He often struggles with the authority placed on him, but he is kind, wise, and loyal to the end. It is he who allows Richter to make the journey to recruit the conquering hero.
Voice-wise, I'm looking for a light, measured tone similar to Yuri Lowenthal's take from recent Fire Emblem media.
(contemplating a vision described to him) Hmm. God certainly gives strange visions, doesn’t He?
(resigned but hopeful) *sigh* I don’t suppose I can stop a Holy Warrior called to His service, can I? You may go with my blessing.
(reassuring) Chrom, all will be fine. I know, as captain, you are inclined toward our safety, but you must have faith.

A voice similar to Matt Mercer's take in Smash Ultimate is what I'm looking for, but don't feel the need to sound completely identical.
(weary and resigned) So, you’re just letting him go, then? On a dream and a title?
(uneasy and warning) Even so, you’re taking a big risk, letting our last Holy Warrior up and leave like that. What if the nations around realize our vulnerability?
(bitter and resentful) Hmph. As if that helped the other Holy Warriors...

The Immortal King of Noctus, who is currently in a situation unfitting of his title. Dying from an unknown illness, he is ready to abdicate his throne to his eldest daughter, before Parsnip ruins his plans by rallying the other siblings to declare effective war. He is hateful and spiteful, and wants nothing more than to see Thornberry and Parsnip suffer.
Since he's in the agonizingly slow process of dying, he must sound weak at all times, but commanding enough to still be intimidating.
(weary and commanding) I know not how long I have left. We must begin preparations for the transfer of power, and by that time, Cadavera will be ready to rule this kingdom.
(weak but harsh) You have no room to speak, girl!
(angry, but resigned, before growing harsh) You tread on thin ice, children. Nonetheless, I see that I cannot sway any of your minds to the contrary. Fine then! The Erbkrieg shall begin today!

The eldest daughter of the Immortal King, who feels more than ready to rule Noctus, despite having been handed droves of power for nothing but Noctan tradition. She is haughty and cruel, and thinks of everyone bar her father as lowly and pathetic. This combination does little to earn the loyalty of those around her.
For Cadavera, go as spoiled-teenager as you wish to go, so long as you don't go full valley girl.
(haughty and vainly) It is about time, Father. All of Noctus has been waiting for me to take the helm!
(thinly veiled malice) That sharp tongue of yours has been a fine source of entertainment for those seventeen years you have spoken, but mind that you keep it in check around your future Queen!
(condescendingly) Oh, how adorable. Little Nippy is rallying her supporter. I almost feel bad for the thrashing to follow. What about you, Ridley dear?

The eldest son of the Immortal King. Orchid has spent his whole life in Cadavera's shadow, despite putting forth all of his efforts to becoming a fit ruler. He's a shrewd tactician, but is prone to underestimating his opponents, and his charisma without the Guardian by his side leaves something to be desired.
Voice-wise, Orchid should be a deeper register, but not so deep as to sound bassy.
(irate) Now, hold on! You cannot possibly think a layabout like her is in ANY fit state to lead our kingdom to prosperity!
(having just been handed the perfect opportunity to gain power) On the contrary, Father. If you truly believe that Parsnip is unfit to rule and Cadavera is, then what better way to prove it than the ancient rites?
(dismissive) Whyever would I treat her as a serious threat? Her only skill of note is a sharp tongue. She would be lucky to even strike a cheap shot.

Youngest son of the Immortal King, Thornberry is almost as overlooked as Parsnip. Unlike her, he earns loyalty through kindness, and oddity among Noctans. He has countless civilians on his side from his reformist ideology, and is ready to use the Erbkrieg to make Noctus a peaceful nation for once in its life.
His voice should sound young and gentle, but still old enough to command a crowd.
(irritated) I agree, Brother! Everything Cadavera has was handed to her on silver platters, from her armies to her bodyguard! What has she earned in her life?
(trying to diffuse tension with logic) I second that notion. It would additionally prepare the armies under our wings for any war another kingdom would wage with us.
(commanding, but soft) I cannot ask for more than your loyalty in this endeavor. But I promise, should I prevail in the Erbkrieg, that Noctus will see a new age!

The minions of Bowser Castle. They're loyal to the end, and hold Bowser in highest regards. Despite this, they are all respectful of nonplumber outsiders.
There's no real voice guideline for the Minions barring line 2, who is a male Koopa. The minions won't show much outside of episode 1, but there's theoretically no limit to how many people can be cast here.
(loud and rallying) NO! WE'RE NOT!
(like a belaguered secretary) Hrmm… you seem okay. Hang on, let me get my manager. *dials phone* Yeah, a guy calling himself “Rickter Bellmont from the kingdom of Atrea wants to come inside and get help. ...Uh-huh… Yeah… I mean, he SEEMS all official-like… Okay, I’ll send him in. *hangs up* Come on inside.
