Danganronpa GREEN: Lab Rats Elegy is a nonprofit, audio drama video project based off of the Danganronpa series, created by Ozzie (@/oziecakes on Twitter)
The plot follows sixteen students who have been picked via their “ultimate talent” and get trapped in a private academy. The only way to escape is to kill another person and get away with it. This will go on until there have been about five trials, and the remaining students will be allowed to go home.
Audition Information
It is currently unknown if this will be fully voice acted. But, if a decision comes in the future, we might need you to return and reprise your role. This can go for trials, any script that’s fully voiced, or student interviews.
This will likely be a lengthy process. So if you don’t do all too well with long term stuff, I don’t recommend auditioning. All voice actors must have Discord.
Due to personal reasons, there might be instances where voice actors will have to record their lines by themselves, as I will not be present. You’ll be given annotations that provide directions on each line or performance. You can also get on call with your scene partner/partners and record together.
This project is 16+. But, there are some age restricted roles that will require you to be 18 or over. Any auditions that are submitted by a minor for these will be deleted in an instant.
In the audition, please provide your name, age, (if you’re under 18 and don’t feel comfortable providing it, just saying “minor” is fine), Discord and Twitter. You can also list your mic and audio recorder, but that’s optional.
Please record your lines in ABCABC order.
This series contains sensitive content and topics that might trigger some viewers or auditioners. All warnings for the original Danganronpa games will apply. Voice Actors are free to refuse to be associated with their character if they desire, as we will prioritize comfort.
If your mic quality is bad, there is a lower chance that you will be cast. Otherwise, feel free to audition for as many characters as you want.

Due to things related with production, the deadline for Danganronpa GREEN: Lab Rats Elegy will be moved to February 2nd, 2026. As of recently, a lot of things about Tetro Danganronpa’s production came out. Let me say I do not condone any AI usage, as it’s a disgrace to the Fangan craft as a whole.
Green will no longer be a Tetro Fanseries. It will have a very similar format. As of right now I’m going to keep promoting it as Tetro Green, but after we get VA’s cast it’ll be changed. I am so sorry to everyone who has been affected by Von Babbit’s actions. We can persevere against this blemish in the community.

Student One is a fairly shy and reserved girl who doesn’t like to bring herself into conflict, and has a bit of trouble trying to talk to new people she meets. But when getting to know her better, she’s actually quite friendly.
Medium pitched female voice, not too high and not too low. Voice sounds calm and a little bit monotone, but also intrigued.
“I don’t think I can today, sorry. I was planning to go home. Chores, and all that stuff. You know.”
“Ah, I didn’t mean to bother you, Adachi. Do you want to cook dinner together? I could use a bit of help.”
“That’s weird. I don’t remember seeing Kimura in the hallway, I thought she was still asleep in her room. Is there something I’m missing?”
Student Two is a stubborn, irritated boy who cannot approach others very well. He tends to overreact and think of the worst case scenarios. But when in a normal mood, he’s not exactly the nicest person around, and prefers to keep to himself.
Voice is masculine, with a medium to low pitch. Usually sounds irritated and anxious. You should be able to act out anger well, as this role contains lots of yelling. This role is 18+. By auditioning, you agree that you are an ADULT.
“T-this is a fucking nightmare! God! If someone hits me with a mallet, hopefully I’ll wake up…!”
(Angry) “What are you TALKING ABOUT? I WON, I DESERVE THE PRIZE MONEY! DO YOU REALIZE HOW UNFAIR THIS IS? Give it to me, shitface. Or else!..”
(More relaxed) “Get away from me, would you? What makes you think we’re friends? You’re nothing but a stranger to me. That’s it.”
Student Three is a blunt, brash girl who thinks highly of herself. She takes a bit of a leadership role, and gets freaked out when things don’t go as planned. Additionally, a temper that can become explosive when messed around with.
Female voice with a medium pitch, but a little bit on the higher side. Voice should sound brash, sassy and annoyed, but formal. You should be able to act out anger well.
“Thank you so much, Mr. Nakahara. I strive to do my best. Next time, I’ll make sure to get an even higher score.”
(Frustrated) “C-can you guys listen to me?! How are we gonna get anywhere if we’re not organized?! You’re all acting braindead, jesus!”
“Uchiyama, did you happen to see the killer walk by? …No? I guess I’ll have to go collect more evidence. (under her breath) Ohhhh my fucking god, seriously?”
Student Four is a sheltered and quiet boy, who doesn’t go outside very often. He’s very isolated most of the time and doesn’t respond well to other people, usually being silent in large group situations. But if he does befriend someone, he’s chill.
Masculine, fully medium pitch. Is very soft with his words and should sound a bit uninterested and nonchalant. Otherwise, do whatever you think fits best.
“Oh. Hi, Mom. (pause) Yeah, I’ll come down in a sec. Just finishing up something here.”
“Uh, my name’s Kenzo. I’m in high-school. I don’t have that many hobbies I guess. Dunno what else to say. Sorry.”
(Exhausted) “I can’t really help you all that much, man…You’re seriously looking at the wrong guy. Go ask Ozawa, maybe she can help.”
Student Five is a sociable, kind, sometimes timid girl. She is very willing to help her peers when needed, but shuts down in situations that heavily deplete her. She has a huge passion for creating things and channeling her emotions into art.
Lower toned female voice, one that’s not too deep. Should sound airy and polite. Keep in mind, this role requires a good amount of emotional range. You should be able to voice act crying well.
“It’s so nice to meet you, Igarashi. I hope we can along, as I appreciate your company very much. Would you like to see one of my creations?”
“Art is something I hold so dearly to my heart…without it, I wouldn’t be the same person I am now. I’m allowed to express myself freely. A raw form of emotion, exploration and freedom.”
(Crying, shaky) “I-I’m going to d-die here…can you please stay by my s-side? I can’t b-be alone…n-not right now…”
Student Six is a companionable, friendly boy who has a love for athletics. He’s very easy to get along with, but can be much too overbearing and loud for someone’s own taste. He might even try to convince someone to play a sport with him.
Lower toned masculine voice. His voice should have a bit of a dumb jock approach to it, using slang like “dude” or “bro”. Has a bit of a rough, loud edge.
“Hey, man! Why don’tcha say we go outside for a little bit and have some fun? I have a soccer ball we can throw around! How’s that?”
“Dudeee. I’m sooo fuckin’ bored. If they’re gonna lock us in here, at least give us shit to do! We have a TV in here, at least give us video games and something we can use to turn it on! The hell?”
“I bet the killer just walked up to Hayashi and punched him in the face like WA-BAM! POW! WOOSH! Did ya see how bruised his face was? Shit was gnarly.”
Student Seven is a passionate, but ditzy girl. She has a knack for trying new things, while also getting herself into weird situations. She’s not exactly the brightest of the bunch, yet tries to stay confident.
Medium pitched feminine voice, that’s on the higher side. Sounds a bit sickly sweet, with a bit of brightness in her tone.
“Youuuu got it! …W-wait, does that mean you want me to go to the dormitories? (pause) Ah, right! On my way!”
“Ah! D-darn! I’m so sorry for dropping all of the food! Gosh…I’ll go make a new batch really quick, it won’t take too long. Sit tight! Koizumi, help me get more ingredients!”
“Aww, you’re so sweet, Serizawa! We should definitely hang out more often! That’s only if you’re up to it, of course! (pause) Okay! Awesome! Come on, there’s this new place I wanna try.”
Student Eight is an extroverted, arrogant boy who, like Student Six, can be very overbearing to be around. He constantly cracks jokes at others' expense, seeming to never take even the most terrible situations seriously.
Masculine voice that’s on the higher side. Kind of sleazy sounding, think of Kokichi Ouma. Note that you should have a good range, as this character tends to mock others.
“Hey. Eguchi. Hey. Hey. Look at me. Hey. You’re not looking, you dummy. Hey. HEY.”
(Mocking sad tone) “Awww, somebody’s reallllyyyyy sad!! We should grab him some tissues and a shoulder to cry on, that’ll certainly make him feel better!”
“Come on, I’m not a dumbass. I know you’re lying to my face right now. And guess what? I can be an even better liar than you are! So don’t try to play tricks with me.”
Student Nine is a calm, private person who’s very outspoken about their interests. They don’t interact much with others, but tries to be as well mannered as possible when the time comes.
This character’s voice should be androgynous, with a little bit of a feminine tone. Lower toned. They tend to stumble over their words a lot, but is usually pretty soft with their words. When upset, their voice turns very dark and deep. This role is 18+. By auditioning, you agree that you are an ADULT.
(tired) “Man..it’s so early. Are you sure we can’t go back to sleep for like, another hour? Not even thirty minutes?”
“Oh, yeah! That movie was awesome. I have a ton of notes on it that I took while I was watching, if you wanna read. Gonna be honest, I might have wrote a bit too much. But it was worth it. For sure.”
“Sorry, I’m a bit out of it right now. What were we talking about? (pause) Oh, got it. Well, I didn’t spot anything in the kitchen. Maybe check the storage room? Or the Medbay? There has to be something we haven’t found yet…”
Student Ten is a hot headed, exasperated boy who isn’t afraid to share his opinion on things. He’s usually unnecessarily rude to his peers, which might make him an outcast in a group.
Masculine voice with a low tone. His voice should be very tough and intimidating, while also sarcastic. For this role, you should be able to voice act anger well. This role is not 18+, but the chances of getting cast are higher if you’re an adult.
(Angry) “Oi! Fuck off! I told ya already, I’m not interested in your bullshit. Get out of my face, annoying piece of trash!”
“Are you trying to pick a fight with me, asshole? Bastard…I could rip you apart in seconds. Is that something you really want?”
“W-why the hell are you accusing me? I didn’t do shit? Ya hear me? I didn’t do SHIT! Didn’t Iwami tell you I was in my dorm? Hatano doesn’t even have an alibi! Question her instead!”
Student Eleven is a passive aggressive, candid girl who’s friendly but is also upfront and honest at the worst times. She’s a bit of a perfectionist and can come off as apathetic to others.
Medium pitched feminine voice, with a slight lower timbre. Similar to Student one, but a bit more monotone and cynical.
“I’m not sure I understand. You’re saying you were asleep during the murder, but Kabuya saw you in the kitchen. Either he’s lying, or you’re lying. Hm?”
“Well, uh. I hate to break it to you, but he did say not to tell anyone. You can’t blame him for getting mad. This is kind of your fault…sorry.”
“M-my feet are starting to hurt. (Pause) I can’t take a break, though! This is something I’ve really been working hard on. It’d be stupid if I stopped just because of a little bit of pain. So, it’s…whatever. I’ll be fine.”
Student Twelve is a smart, tranquil boy who likes to focus on his studies most of the time. He usually has no trouble interacting with his peers but tends to be awkward or sometimes miscommunicate.
Male voice that’s medium to slightly low pitch. Akin to Student Nine, he can stutter over his words a lot. Tone should be a little bit gawky and dork-ish, but also formal and friendly. This role is not 18+, but keep in mind when auditioning that there are subjects that might be a little sensitive for people.
“We can trade notes, if you want. I have some for both Biology and Algebra. Did you write anything down for Social Studies? (pause) Alright, then let’s go over all of that together.”
“I was up pretty late last night. Is there any coffee I can drink? Black, Americano, Flat White, o-or just simple, regular coffee with milk and sugar. Anything helps…”
“I-I wasn’t anywhere near the dining hall! When he died, I was in my dorm. The possibility of me being up at 2am doesn’t mean anything! E-Everyone else was probably awake at that time! Surely someone can account for the fact that they never saw me leave my room. P-Please?“
Student Thirteen is an upbeat, bubbly girl who always sees the greater side of things. She’s always trying to get along with everyone around her and is a ray of sunshine even in the darkest of times, and cares greatly for her pears.
Medium pitch female voice that’s a bit on the higher side. Tone should be full of excitement and bright, while also self-composed. Singing is an additional bonus for this character, so leave a sample of you singing (in japanese) at the end if you’d like. This role is not 18+, but keep in mind when auditioning that there are subjects that might be a little sensitive for people.
“Hi hi hi, everyone! Wow…lots of people in the crowd today. Thank you for coming out to see our show! Please continue to support us. Our next song is DOKI DOKI ☆ BLAZING HEART! Enjoy!”
“Let’s discuss! What’s your favorite Ice Cream flavor? Mine’s Strawberry and Cookies & Cream! (pause) …I’m not the biggest fan of Mint Chocolate, but Black Sesame is really good too! We should go out and get some one day!”
(More calm and composed) “Shinonome? Hi. I-I know you’re feeling pretty bad. And I’m sorry. But…we can’t give up just yet. Alright? You can stay strong and get through this, I believe in you.”
Student Fourteen is a laidback, moderate boy who’s hardworking and really mellow about a lot of things. He can get along with people very easily, and is usually fun to be around.
Fully medium pitch male voice. Should sound somewhat mellow and casual, but also playful, kind of like the funny best friend archetype. Think of Yosuke Hanamura.
“Hey, you. What’s your name? Kusunoki? (Laugh) Got it. It’s nice to meet’cha. Put ‘er there.”
“It would be so fuckin’ funny if this building just blew up outta nowhere. We’d die, yeah, but in the afterlife I’d get to say I died in an explosion. Which sounds cool as hell.”
“Woah, woah, woah. Easy now. You look like you’re about to pop a blood vessel. (pause) Why are ya getting angry at me? I didn’t even say anything. Besides, how would I have been in the kitchen if Katsumata said I was in the Rec Room?”
Student Fifteen is a compassionate, self disciplined girl who wants nothing but the best for everyone around her. She always looks out for her peers, and doesn’t like unnecessarily conflict as she thinks it only drags people down.
Lower pitched female voice. Her tone should be formal, sentimental, and thorough. Clear pronunciation and speech is important for this role.
“Good morning, everyone. Dr. Kawakami has have a very important lecture ahead of us, so it’d be best if you would all take a seat. He’ll just be a few minutes late. Today, we’ll discuss lifespan development.”
“I understand that what you’re going through right now is terrible. Depression tends to affect life drastically. I promise that if you’ll have the right support system and no longer have to feel alone, everything will get better. It has to. Trust me.”
(Nervous) “D-Does anyone else feel like we’re constantly being watched? As if there’s someone in the walls, monitoring our every move? I don’t know why, but…this place is so, so weird. I’m going to be sick.”
Student Sixteen is a secure, loyal boy who is very protective of those close to him. Like Student Fifteen, he tends to assess each situation and make sure everything is in order. The last thing he wants is for the group to fall apart.
Masculine voice with a low pitch. His tone should steadfast and welcoming, but earnest and tough when needed. This role is 18+. By auditioning, you agree that you are an ADULT.
“It’s my pleasure. If you need any help, I can always be of service. No issue, really.”
“Look at the state of her body. It’s horrifying to look at. W-whoever’s responsible for this…they must be out of their mind. We must find out who the culprit is so they can rightfully receive consequences for their crime!”
(Angry, more aggressive) “Nakamoto, g-get off him this instant! (struggling noises) Ngh!- What were you thinking?! If you think this would’ve solved anything, you need to reevaluate this instant!”
Head of the Killing Game Session. A stoic, calm man who has a friendly approach to hide his more sinister intentions. Masculine low pitched voice. Tone is usually polite and casual, but can get a bit more serious. Should sound rather old as he’s in his 60s.
“Thank you for your contribution to the project, Dr. Suguta. I know it’s not an easy job, but I guarantee your hard work will pay off in the end.”
“Tell me, Monomoko. What do you think is the purpose of all this? Do tell me.”
“I say we leave the students be for now. The motive is coming up soon, after all. It’s a good one, as speciality of Dr. Kobayashi.”
Head of the Biology Department. A pretentious, sassy woman who does not take any nonsense from her employees. Female middle-aged lower pitched voice. Should sound uninterested, brash, and cold.
“God, this was such a waste of my time. If you ever have this type of issue again take it up with Dr. Takeuchi. We’re done here.“
“Why should Dr. Kobayashi be in charge? At least I have some sort of merit on how to handle the ongoing events in the session. Don’t be stupid, and let me handle it.”
“This is practically useless. Just shut it down already, would you?”
Head of the Engineering Department. Similar to Dr. Imai, but much more harsh and strict. He wants things done his way, and gets mad when people don’t subject to his ideas. Masculine, middle aged low pitch voice. Tone should be rough and intimidating, but precise.
“You cannot possibly be serious. How dare you. How dare you accuse me of such things.”
“Dr. Imai, get your head out of your ass, would you? I’m not incompetent like you think I am. You’re out of your mind.”
“You’re idiotic if you believe you have any say in what I do in my work. If there’s someone here who believes they can do better, just let me know.”
Head of the Psychology Department. Unlike the other department heads, she is very laidback and encouraging of her employees. Best boss you could possibly have. Medium pitch middle aged female voice. Should sound somewhat friendly and rational.
“Jesus, Suguta! You don’t have to speak so professionally. You know the both of us well enough.”
“You could be a little nicer and polite, Dr. Imai. What has Dr. Uehara done to you?”
“It’s alright, not that big of a deal. I’ll let you go rest for a bit noe. But afterwards, you should get back to work. Does that sound alright?”
The interviewer. A professional young man. Takes his job seriously, but can become irritated when something becomes too much for him. Is an assistant to Dr. Takeuchi. Medium pitch adult male voice. Sounds self-composed, firm, and also casual and a little bit nervous.
“Thanks for coming in today, Mrs. Aoyama. It took a while for us to start the interview, we’re really sorry about that. First off, can I please get your name and occupation?”
“We are in a very professional work environment. If Dr. Takeuchi treats me with respect, I must do the same.”
“I can’t right now, too busy. You should stop slacking around, to be honest. We both have something to maintain here.”
