Crookedstar's Promise Voiced Acted Audiobook
Project Overview
Our Audition Process:
Everyone who wishes to be a voice actor for the Warrior Cats Fan Dub will submit an audition reading a small narrator passage from the book.
You may read is as many times as you'd like in your audition; feel free to change it up and show us other voices you can do!
From this audition, our team will review your submission and, if accepted to callbacks, we'll give you up to 5 characters we that we believe your voice would fit perfectly for in the book!
We'll then hold another round of in-person/on-call auditions for these callbacks, where you'll show us your stuff for each of your assigned characters.
Once all callbacks are completed, we'll let you know if you got a part!
This is a beginner-friendly voice acting project, we encourage anyone to audition! There are well over 50+ characters to fill.
Requirements:
-Must be at least 16 years of age before auditioning
-Good quality microphone without much background noise (For example: Blue Yeti Microphone and above in quality)
-You do NOT need to know anything about the Warrior Cats series to audition! Just know you'll be playing a feisty battle kitty.
-Must be willing to follow voice direction from our Director. There will be instances when you re-do lines multiple times.
-Auditions end January 13th at 11:30pm EST

Narrator Passage:
Wind rattled the branches of the willow trees and tore the reeds from their beds. Thick storm clouds swirled across the night-dark sky. Rain battered the tightly woven dens where the RiverClan warriors had been sleeping.
The RiverClan leader flattened his ears as he heard his mate’s terrified cry. He dug his claws into the mud, steadying himself against the water that swirled around his legs. The river had broken its banks and was streaming into camp. He twisted his head around, searching the shadows.
As she talked, the medicine cat pulled moss around him until he felt warm and cozy. Her words drifted into a low murmur until the green clearing and the sharp scents of herbs faded into darkness.
Hailstar scanned the camp. Gleaming pelts darted in the darkness like panicked fish. A lithe ginger- and-white she-cat was clinging on to the remains of the warriors’ den, trying to claw together its fast- fraying walls. A stout tabby tom tried to block the foaming channel where nests swirled out into the river. The sky lit up with a white flare as lightning blazed. Thunder crashed and the wind hardened. A new wave of water surged through the camp.
