"Team Anime" Tournament Qualifier (4/8): Mon Anime

Welcome to AVATAnime Voice Acting TournamentsWhat is AVAT?
Anime Voice Acting Tournaments ("AVAT") is, as the name would imply, a tournament for actors. While this event is titled "Team Anime Qualifier: Mon Anime" it is merely to identify the event which AVAT is running. AVAT holds a variety of tournaments that are made for all levels of actors. These qualifiers do not represent actual projects in their currents state. This qualifier is made for individuals to advance to the “Team Anime” tournament, try voice acting for the first time, amateurs practicing in areas they may not be comfortable, or professionals wanting to have some fun and do something different!
Criteria!Don't be afraid to enter if you feel that you microphone quality is not very good, and don't be afraid if you feel that your acting skills aren't very good! With that being said let's jump into the criteria for our casting call!
You will be judged based on your ability to:
- Voice the character and their lines.
- Convey the essence of the character.
- Hide yourself in the character.
- Create an involuntary emotional response from the audience and judges.
With all of that being stated we will now move on to the content of the Casting Call!

- Young Protagonist
The lead character on the journey every young child embarks upon in this world! Ready to take on everything, somehow always winning even if they lose! With a positive outlook, nothing can take this character's optimism down! Will you follow the footsteps of the many characters before, or will you try to subvert and do more with they character?
- Side-kick Mon
Possible the most personable and widely appealing, the side-kick mon is made to share a deep connection with the young protagonist. This mon will be required to show a larger range of expressions than the other mons as this one will appear almost as frequently as the main character! Feel free to make up everything you need to make this voice and character come to life in your audition!
- Strong Mon
Big and Bulky and ready to take on the world... Probably! Whether you use words or not is up to you! Have fun with this character!
- Cute Mon
Cute fluffy adorableness! Let it all out!
- Dark/Evil Mon
Elusive and quiet, prepared to take down an opponent at the quickest chance.
- Evil Corporation Head
Leader of the big bad in the story often has their own philosophical disillusion going on! Evil is always fun!
We are currently in the process of getting prizes made for the "Team Anime" tournament! Unfortunately, COVID-19 has played a large role in the slowing of manufacturing causing it to come to a complete stop temporarily. We are keeping everyone updated here on our Twitter page and hope that we have your support and interest while we all handle these difficult time! Stay safe everyone! SubmissionsAVAT requires that you send at least one recording of each line however, we recommend doing 3 reads of each line! You may do a different voice for each read, but you will be limited to 3 reads per line! We will only take a maximum of 3 reads per line!
You may also send you submission in via email to AVAT if you do not wish to create an account to submit here. If you are sending an email, be sure to adjust the email for the roles that you will be sending in!

Emy (Nickname of monster) c'mon we'll go somewhere we can be accepted and eat lots of food. They just don't get it!

(Affirmative noises) (out of breath)...Ugh (last little exhale from exhaustion)
(Convey with words or not the following idea) "We can do it! Let me go! I know with you at my side we can do anything! (words or noises are acceptable!)
This mon is a strong mon! This should be reflected in their voice! Have fun with it and don't hold back! That will be key to bringing in this role!
(Grunts) Incoherent mumbles and grunts under furious breathing)
(Convey with words, or not, the following idea) "I will shred you! Get over here!" (words or noises are acceptable!)
(Convey with words, or not, the following idea) "Crushing is my favorite! We should do this more!" (words or noises are acceptable!)
Cute noises and all this mon is adorable! Fluffy or whatever you want! Cute is the goal! As stated above this qualifier is all about taking little direction, and making a ton of choices! Don't let that deter you from giving this character a shot!
(marching noises) huff huff huff... Leyy-BA! woBA! woBA! woBA! Leyy-bBa-BA!
(Convey with words, or not, the following idea) "Hmmm... Ok! I can't wait!" (words or noises are acceptable!)
Po-Po Po-Po Po-Po Po-Po Po-Po (Deliver as you feel!)
Dark? Evil? Do whatever you want! So little direction, so many possibilities!
(Convey with words, or not, the following idea) "I can't be bothered...Leave me alone." (words or noises are acceptable!)
It is when we come closest to death, that we are closest to life.
Evil, what can we say? Everyone loves a good bad guy!
You truly believe a child can stop me?!?! The head of the largest corporation in the tri-state area? You fool... (in pity)
Perhaps, the child is a nuisance, but nothing that can't be dealt with..... I said, nothing that can't be dealt with. (slowly getting angrier)
I miss having the cold breeze flow through my hair... there is something so nice about the discomfort of the cold...
