In the year 2022, virtual reality has progressed by leaps and bounds, and a massive online role-playing game called Sword Art Online (SAO) is launched. With the aid of "NerveGear" technology, players can control their avatars within the game using nothing but their own thoughts.
Kazuto Kirigaya, nicknamed "Kirito," is among the lucky few enthusiasts who get their hands on the first shipment of the game. He logs in to find himself, with ten-thousand others, in the scenic and elaborate world of Aincrad, one full of fantastic medieval weapons and gruesome monsters. However, in a cruel turn of events, the players soon realize they cannot log out; the game's creator has trapped them in his new world until they complete all one hundred levels of the game.
In order to escape Aincrad, Kirito will now have to interact and cooperate with his fellow players. Some are allies, while others are foes, like Asuna Yuuki, who commands the leading group attempting to escape from the ruthless game. To make matters worse, Sword Art Online is not all fun and games: if they die in Aincrad, they die in real life. Kirito must adapt to his new reality, fight for his survival, and hopefully break free from his virtual hell.
Asuna is a goody-two shoes and wants to reform Kirito because she sees it as her destiny (She knows about Heathcliff's true identity, and sees him as her way out of the game so does favors for him). Whenever she teams up with Kirito, it's always under the threat of her finding him IRL. In actuality, she is part of SAO in a much deeper way (we will only reveal this with the voice actress who earns the role).
We currently do not have any lines written down for her at this moment so the audition lines are from the original show. Do not accuse us of copying original material because these lines will not be used in any capacity other than to hear who will be voicing Asuna. Also, do not refrain from auditioning in any voice you like. We welcome originality.

She’s a kendo master and enthusiast. She loves making fun of her older brother for being a dork for staying inside all the time playing video games.
Since Suguha hasn't shown up in the show enough, we don't have a good feel of how her character will be. We will change her personality when we have a better idea.

Klein claims he is straight, but he hides his guy-loving side so is bi in reality. He wants to protect anyone he would want to date (or simply be friends with) and goes to extremes in the game later on because he's a massive roleplayer. Whenever he breaks characters, he isolates himself for weeks until he maintains character again.

Kayaba is one of the most quiet guys you will ever know. He always mumbles and the game of death was hinted at before, but no one heard him until he explained in-game. His reasoning is that he wanted a challenge of pushing programming limits and limits to himself and others in the game. He saw it as a benefit to others. He is offended by the weak and comes to hate his once-master plan.

The only way to make it back to the real world is the beat every floor boss and make your way to the 100th floor and beat Sword Art Online.
