Sweet Holiday: An anime-inspired romance short
Project Overview
Sweet Holiday is a 3-minute short for my Animated Short film class at college. It's an anime influenced short, where the basic idea was essentially "What to Street Fighter characters do on vacation?"
Based on my webcomic, Rival Hearts, martial artists,Skye Saint and Nena Caproni are on vacation in the village of Vernazza Italy, seeking some down time while on tour.
Skye wants to set up a very romantic, fun vacation for the two of them but a variety of awkward situations get to the couple, resulting in a much more turbulent day than either of them expected.

Sweet, somewhat bubbly but also very motherly. Can be rough but overall is a sweetheart mother.

Skye is tall, cocky and arogant man but at the same time, is genuinely good guy. He can quite rude but at the same time, very seet.
I imagined him having quite a nasally but gruff voice (I oddly had Aaron Carter or Franky Munez's voice in my head while writeing him) but I'm open to ideas.
Leave that to me, Nena! I’ve got wonderful day planned for the two of us, trust me, it’s gonna be great!

Exciting sure...but I wanted today to be special. It’s Italy, romantic junk. So far said romance has been fighting drunk morons and accidentally insulting you.
Nena is very perky, energetic and very flirty. She's very sweet and supportive of her boyfriend and is willing to put up with a lot of trouble just to be with him.
Oooh, was that Italian? Skye I gotta say, you’re being quite the romantic.
I’ll admit...I’d like it to be just us as well as maybe a biiiit more pleasant. But so long as I’m spending the day with you, I’m happy Skye.
Well you know...I’m sure at some point we’ll have some “proper alone time" hehe
