Suzume High Pilot Episode

Project Overview

Aoi Yoshida escapes an abusive household where he is abused every day, planning on killing himself. As he’s running away from his house, he stumbles across a building in the middle of nowhere. Drawn to it for many a reason, he encounters Fuyu Okashima, a shrine worker taking care of her family’s shrine while they’re away. He makes a wish- that wish being that he wishes his parents would die. From there, he befriends Fuyu and quickly develops a crush on her. Fuyu finds out about his abusive household and asks if he wants to live with her. Aoi happily accepts, and sets his parents’ house on fire with them trapped inside. Many of Fuyu’s acquaintances begin to take notice of Aoi’s strange behavior toward her, and things start to get messy.

  • Pilot Roles

    Hi everyone! A couple things have been brought to my attention recently, so I’ll do my best to address them here.

    1: There are a few roles that come in later in the series. If you are not picked for an audition but I still friend you on discord or dm you, chances are I’m considering you for a role that is not in the pilot. If you don’t want to play the character, that’s fine- I’ll move onto someone else.

    2: In the pilot, the main focus is Aoi, Fuyu, Aoi’s parents, and Fuyu’s mom with some of the main cast integrated. If the series gets picked up, the rest of the cast will obviously have many big moments to shine. The pilot episode, however, is mainly for introducing the main “conflict” of the series.

    1. I don’t think that anyone here should feel as if their part is small or insignificant. Even if you play Fuyu’s mom, and feel like, oh man, she is barely in the pilot, she’s important in the future. Extras get a lot of lines that are VERY important to the story, and without Aoi’s parents, there would be no story. Even if you don’t get the part that you want, getting a part means you’re crucial to the production of Suzume High.

    So that’s it haha. Happy auditions! I’ll have my cast list and audition choices released around July 3rd!
