Superman & the City of Tomorrow
Project Overview
In 1960s America. Superman fights for truth and justice for the people of Metropolis, the City of Tomorrow, whilst maintaining his secret identity as Clark Kent, a meek and modest reporter working for the Daily Planet.

Voice Actor
Lead role. Superman, Clark Kent, a man sworn to turn his titanic strength into channels that would benefit mankind, a champion of the oppressed, the physical marvel who had sworn to devote his existence to helping those in need.
The key to mastering this role is being able to pull off both Clark Kent and Superman. Though at his core, he is both, they are two separate voices. Clark Kent is an honest, meek, and mild man. Just an ordinary Joe trying to get through the day, starting his day with a bowl of Cheerios. Meanwhile, his alter ego, Superman, is anything but ordinary. Strong and powerful, the man of steel, the man of tomorrow! Superman is strong, able to bend steel in his bare hands, but kind and warm as well. Honest. Wears his heart on his sleeve. But most importantly, he never gives up, and he never loses hope.

(Superman) "That's what justice is all about. Keeping the scales equal, making sure no one can take advantage of another."
(Clark Kent) "We’re all meant for something. Every one of us. No matter how small we may seem, we’re all worth fighting for."
Voice Actor
Lead role. Lois Lane is the editor and chief of the Daily Planet following the death of her mentor Perry White.
Lois is a cut-throat, no-nonsense reporter with little patience for anyone wasting her time. She does anything to get the truth and never shies away from a good story, no matter how dangerous. Beneath her tough exterior is a genuine hope for a better tomorrow, and a difficulty to trust others following a long and numbing career in the news industry.

"I coined the name myself. It wasn’t easy coming up with something for a person who shouldn’t exist."
"It’s all well and good for you to believe in someone who knows if you’ve been bad or good, but I’m sorry, I’ve been a reporter far too long to start believing in Santa Claus."

Lead role. The Man of Steel's mortal enemy and the self-proclaimed "King" of Metropolis. Lex Luthor is a man obsessed with power. He's spent his entire life building an empire in the heart of the greatest city on Earth. He credits himself with turning Metropolis into the "City of Tomorrow." Luthor considers himself a god among men. But how does a man obsessed with power cope with the emergence of a "man" that is power? He must be calm, collected, and unwavering in his dedication to rid the world of the fraud that is Superman.

"My city. I’d grown accustomed to her face. And yet I was betrayed. For a man they don’t even know."
"You think yourself powerful? You think you’re in control here? That you can suddenly wave around whatever you want and think you’ve trumped Lex Luthor?"

Supporting role. Jonathan is the adopted father of Clark Kent, and in many ways shaped the young man that would grow to become the world's greatest hero. A gentle family man with an optimistic spirit who lived a simple, ordinary life with a belief in a better tomorrow. These values were passed on to Clark.

"Inside—- it was the damndest thing—- but there was a baby. A baby that had just fallen out of the sky. And not a scratch on him."
"The truth of it is that my son could bend steel in his bare hands. He could run faster than a speeding train. God, all I remembered wanting to do at that moment was tell him everything would be okay. But all I could promise him is that his ma and I would love him."
"I guess I knew even then. Clark was special."

Supporting role. Clark Kent's best friend back in Smallville. A warm and outgoing girl with a fun personality and a caring nature. She tries to help Clark during a pivotal point in his adolescence, unknowingly guiding him toward a greater future.

"Come on flyboy, fly me to the watering hole! Pete’s waiting for us. Perfect Smallville spring like this shouldn’t go to waste."
"To live in the clouds? Wouldn’t that be something? Oh, if only life were so simple."

Supporting role. The biological father of Kal-El, the last son of planet Krypton. In his final moments, Jor-El, a desperate scientist, placed his only son inside a test rocket and sent him to Earth, in the hope that his son could survive to see another tomorrow.

"I could not provide him a world of sanctity and prosperity in life, but perhaps in death…"
"All that we are, all that Krypton has or ever will be, is left in you. The last of your people. The last of the House of El."
Voice Actor
Supporting role. The biological mother of Kal-El, the last son of planet Krypton. With her husband Jor-El, Lara sends her only son to Earth, in hopes that he can live to see another tomorrow. Deeply caring woman with unwavering love for her family.

"This is madness, Jor-El! Surely you can not seriously be considering this! To send our son into the vast unknown?! It would almost certainly mean certain death!"

Side character. Police lieutenant for the Metropolis Police Department. Tough-as-nails cop who's seen it all. At least, that's what she thinks.

"We owe you a lot of gratitude today. There’s no doubt we wouldn’t have made it in time. A lot of people are alive right now who wouldn’t have been otherwise because of you."
"I… just… I have to know… why? Why are you doing this?"
"After everything we've done, with everything you can do... why help us?"

Side character. Gossip reporter for the Daily Planet with a nose for any and all types of drama.

Side character. One of Jimmy Olsen's best friends. A nice little girl who lives in Metropolis with a troublesome cat.
