Superman: Last Son | A Minecraft Motion Picture

Project Overview

SUPERMAN: LAST SON

"Superman: Last Son" is a fan made feature-film based on the DC comic book character SUPERMAN and his mythos. The film focuses on a retelling of an origin story for the character.

Synopsis

As mild mannered Smallville farmer, Clark Kent, navigates through life, leaning about his extra-terrestrial heritage from Krypton, and the special powers that comes with it, he finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy of corruption involving entrepreneur Lex Luthor and his potential links to criminal organisation Intergang. With the help of his new friends, it looks like a job for SUPERMAN.

Recording quality's not an issue for me. If you want to edit your lines to give me your best takes, that's completely fine. Bloopers would be acceptable as well, though, as they are fun to listen through.

  • Oh, where do I start?! LuthorCorp's new mechasuit projects! Mayor Kerris' reckless financial decisions! And now that guy!

  • He's too nice, so Luthor won't think that he's secretly trying to dig up dirt on him. To him, it'll just be an innocent interview about his new projects.

  • So, Superman, you know that there's a lot of questions about you since you showed up a few days ago. Everyone is under the immediate assumption that you're from outer space. Is that correct?

Role: Villain

Lex Luthor - CEO of LuthorCorp, and the underground force controlling Metropolis behind the scenes. When we meet him, Luthor is the king of the hill, and almost untouchable to the law. He appears, in public, as a kindly man with an easy-going attitude, but behind the scenes, he's a ruthless, vindictive and petty maniac.

  • Well, you know, it took me a lot of hard work to get there. Even if my father started the company, it was a lot smaller when he was in charge. When he handed the reigns over to me, I wanted to turn it into something big. Didn't know what exactly, but I just knew I could make it big. And a lot of people needed big stuff. Cars, trains...

  • A "guy" that can move faster than a speeding bullet, fly, and catch a helicopter. Whatever this thing is, it's safe to say it's more than just a guy.

  • Do you know what my father taught me when I was a boy. He told me, "Lex, my boy. There's only so many people you can trust in this world. You need to make sure you know who those people are." After that, I asked him "what if I find someone I did trust, but couldn't trust anymore?", and you know what he told me? Cut. Them Off.

  • Please, call me Lena. And, yeah, Lex has either two modes depending on how he's feeling on the day. He'll either be amiable or he'll obliterate you.

  • You know, I get why you want to kill him, in your own sick, twisted way. You're getting threatened. He's getting too close. Everything you've been working on behind the scenes - everything. Intergang, the Mechasuits, all the corrupt officials on your payroll - cops, the guards at Belle Reve, all of them! It'll all go under when you get caught!

  • No one questioned it beyond that, though. He must've made enough money to put cops on his payroll. Any investigations into him were dropped. Then one night, our mother talked to him. She was just asking questions. Then they got into a fight. By morning, she had left us.

  • Oh, I'm doing a photography course. And while I'm doing that, I'm working part time for the Daily Planet.

  • Hey, how about the Daily Planet? Yeah, I'm sure they'd love to have you on board! I mean, look at your grades! It'd be a no-brainer for them!

  • Man, I wish I could've seen it. And gotten a photo, man, it would've been something. Anyway, how about we go out for pizza tonight, my treat! Yeah? Alright, see you at Harry's, alright?

  • He's a child. And he's alone. And, when he wakes up, he'll probably be scared. He needs someone to help him out. Find his feet in this world.

  • You do what you have to do, boy. It's all any of us can do. If you need to go out there, then you go. Whenever your ready.

  • Well, that's probably not going away anytime soon, Clark. You're the last of a whole species, your entire world is gone, you were sent here all on your own. But you have friends and family here. On Earth. And none of us are going anywhere. Not yet, anyway.

  • Okay, your qualifications are good, and your work is good, but the resume? That's a cry for help. You can come back to me when you've got some experience out there.

  • You better believe it's serious, Lane! I just told you to show him the ropes, and now you want to set that farm boy up for an interview with Lex freakin' Luthor. You know, head of LuthorCorp? And if you're right, the head of Intergang.

  • Now, that's some can-do attitude, Lane. Now, I don't care how you do it, just get me that interview. And while you're at it, look into this Ultra-Humanite thing and what it has to do with Luthor.

  • Leave off the new guy, Steve. (To Clark) Cat Grant, newsreader. We'll be seeing a lot of you, then?

  • Multiple eyewitnesses report to seeing a man in a red cape and blue suit rescued the crashing helicopter before it crashed into any buildings, rescuing the pilots and the pedestrians. The cause of the malfunction of the helicopter's engines is currently unknown.

  • The Daily Planet's own Lois Lane witnessed the fight, saying that the mutant gorilla - who she says identified himself as Ultra- Humanite - targeted her specifically after her interview with Siobhan Smythe. When the alien arrived on the scene, who she dubbed "Superman", Ultra-Humanite barely stood a chance. Ms. Lane has also noted that she believes the existence of this creature is related to Intergang and, shockingly, Lex Luthor.
