Sky is a warbird trainer and Shantae's best friend. She lives in Scuttle Town with her friends (Oasis Town in the first game), and keeps a pet bird named Wrench, who she uses to help Shantae get around places quickly.

Bolo is described as a "block-head hero for hire". Supposedly, he springs to life when he has a chance to fight, but he's often left behind during Shantae's adventures and has yet to show off these skills. Bolo is frequently trying to seduce girls or spy on them, including Risky Boots in the first game, but fails every time. However, he has a more argumentative sibling-like relationship with Shantae, as they sometimes argue with but still care about each other. He serves as a sparring-partner and punching bag for Shantae, and as an assistant for Mimic. He's the one who taught Shantae her Fighter Moves.

Rottytops is a family member of a Zombie Clan. Rotty travels the land by caravan, threatening to eat peoples' brains. She has two brothers (Abner and Poe Cadaver). Rotty is obsessed with Shantae's brain and the thought of eating it. Even among zombies, Rotty and her brothers, like Risky Boots, are considered bad news, but Rotty genuinely cares for Shantae. Rotty is a free spirit, being friendly, energetic, and headstrong. However, she is also extremely mischievous, unpredictable, and manipulative.

Mimic is Shantae's adoptive Uncle who raised Shantae when she was a baby. Despite not being related, he's like a father to Shantae. He's also a relic hunter, who goes on expeditions and dig up old relics and inventions from the forgotten times and likes to reinvent them to benefit the people of ScuttleTown.

Mayor Scuttlebutt is the leader of Scuttle Town. He is a short fat man in a turban, who is apparently chocoholic. He's known to fire and rehire Shantae more times than you can count, and is kinda pathetic for a mayor. The townsfolk don't take him seriously, including Shantae herself.

Twitch is one of the Ammo Barron's minions who is out to give Shantae a hard time.

 Lolo is shown to be easily excited and clumsy at times. However, she has a kind heart as seen when she saved Klonoa from drowning, helped Klonoa save a city from destruction, and sought to save her world. She is fragile and insecure about herself and her abilities, due to her peers (except the High Priestess) mocking and laughing at her constant failures. She fell silent in sadness, after seeing this terrible memory and could only express guilt at her selfish nature to prove her capabilities though she overcame it with encouragement from Popka.

Always honest and helpful, Shovel Knight aids people he meets along his journey. He constantly dreams of his long lost partner Shield Knight, fighting away imaginary enemies while attempting to catch her. He solves many physically and mentally challenging puzzles throughout the lairs of the Order of No Quarter, proving his great intelligence and strength. Shovel Knight is a shining example of the Code of Shovelry: Slash Mercilessly and Dig Tirelessly! He serves as Shantae's rival throughout the Adventure Mode.

Viridi is the Goddess of Nature and leader of the Forces of Nature. Her goal to wipe out humanity initially puts her at odds with Palutena, though they eventually put aside their differences and work together to face other common threats.

The Magister is a wise and peaceful ruler who makes many decisions for the people of Shang Tu. He'll do whatever it takes to protect his city and his people, even at the expense of his neighbors, though he won't hesitate to assist them with serious matters should the need arise. While keeping his face silhouetted, the Magister would always speak in a deep voice to make him sound older than he is.

Zao is known for his charisma that, along with a rigged democratic rule, led him to become Shang Mu's mayor. He is shown to be greedy, as he'll take any opportunity to ensure his chances for re-election. It is also shown that Zao like to be, or wants to be famous.

At first glance, Morgana appears to be an ordinary cat, as he meows and self-grooms. While considered to be a cat by the story, aside from the fact he can talk, he's intelligent, talented, down-to-earth and capable and displays many human-like qualities, proving that he has at least a human psyche in spite of his appearance and circumstances. This is acknowledged by the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, who all treat him as a fellow person and reliable teammate. Regardless, Morgana himself undergoes a severe identity crisis and is in denial of being a cat, and while most members are tactful and considerate, some do not shy away at pointing out the realities of living as a cat.

With a case of social anxiety bordering on agoraphobia developed from the trauma of losing her mother Wakaba Isshiki, combined with her generally introverted personality, Futaba is strongly uncomfortable with going outside. When the protagonist first meets her, she is a shut-in who does not attend school and almost never leaves her room. When she first joins the Phantom Thieves, Futaba states that her main goal is to find out the truth behind her mother's death but also gains a growing investment in the group's goal of reforming society. After her heart is changed and she begins to actively go out, Futaba still initially tends to hide behind the protagonist so that she won't be seen in public, or wears masks which make it impossible to identify her.

Ryuji is known as a disruptive "problem student" at school whose bad behavior causes all sorts of trouble for the teachers. He is quite proud of his status as a self-proclaimed "troublemaker" and his rebellious, mischievous and disobedient nature are the perfect qualities to be a Phantom Thief. He is sometimes vulgar and aggressive, as shown in his early interactions with the protagonist, Yusuke Kitagawa and Makoto Niijima. He is also rather short-tempered, easily taking offense from even the slightest of comments, making him resort to trying to be threatening.

Ann is a very kind and compassionate girl, enough for it to be noted by both Morgana and Sojiro Sakura. Years of isolation due to her looks have left her very withdrawn, with the belief that she's lost her place in the world, but this hasn't stopped her from opening up to the people close to her and have fun. She's able to press on without caring about the opinions of others due to her friendship with Shiho Suzui, who was her first real friend in Japan before joining the Phantom Thieves. She is shown to be a good judge of character, as she was the first person able to look past the rumors of the protagonist and see him for who he really is. Her good judgement of others is also shown by her willingness to forgive Makoto after learning her side of the story in the incident with Suguru Kamoshida, namely that she wanted to do something but felt powerless to stop him, having realized it wasn't too different from her own situation. Before this, she also comforts Makoto when she calls herself "scum of the Earth" due to her failure to help Kamoshida's victims, saying that if she really was scum, she wouldn't call herself such.

Despite her position as student council president, Makoto is an extremely unpopular student at Shujin Academy. This is because she did nothing to stop Suguru Kamoshida's abuse, resulting in other students labeling her as an arrogant, selfish control freak who knew about the abuse but chose to ignore it because she only cared about getting a good letter of recommendation. The Phantom Thieves initially assume the same of her. In actuality, this happens because Makoto holds no real authority at Shujin, with her position merely making her a glorified tool for the principal to use however he sees fit. In reality, Makoto wanted to do something against Kamoshida, but was too afraid of the principal meddling with her college record in order to protect the P.E. teacher.

Haru is generally very shy and reserved. At school, she is viewed as eccentric due to her tendency to keep to herself and avoid contact with others as much as possible. She has serious trust issues, finding it difficult to differentiate between who truly values her as a friend, and who merely wants to use her for her family's status. This is due to her past, where not only friends, but adults and teachers would be kind to her just to please her father and smile at her for their own personal gain. Despite this, Haru is an incredibly kind-hearted girl. She becomes fast friends with all of the Phantom Thieves and is the only member of the group Ryuji Sakamoto doesn't argue with on a regular basis. She can also be very awkward, as shown when she first introduces herself to the others as "Beauty Thief," and forgets parts of the script she has rehearsed with Morgana, to the point of saying "We will take the Treasure!" twice in a row, much to Futaba Sakura's annoyance. She later explains that she was trying to be a "heroine of justice," having grown up admiring female superheroes she watched on TV. She loved them for always fighting to protect others and being happy, desiring to be just like them someday.

Yusuke is an honor student who takes an art course at Kosei High School. He was raised by Madarame as his mother died when he was three. Therefore, he does not remember her and Madarame took great care of him. As he grew up, he was tutored in art by Madarame, with his masterpiece "Sayuri" being one of his greatest inspirations for his artistic career. In reality, Madarame only raised Yusuke for the sole purpose of exhibiting his artwork using his name, and he would often give him meager rations during his tutelage. By the time the game begins, most other pupils in Madarame's shack are cast away, died because of direct or indirect abuse by him, left due to losing interest in art, and Yusuke is the last pupil living in his atelier. While he appears to be aggressively defensive to Madarame, before the events of the game, Natsuhiko Nakanohara asked him about how Madarame treated him, and he admitted that he would leave his shack if he could.

He is the leader of a cell of the eco-terrorist group Avalanche, trying to prevent Shinra Electric Power Company from using mako, the life source of the planet, as a form of energy. Barret fights passionately for his cause to protect the planet. He cares greatly for his allies, motivating them with powerful speeches, while also himself fighting on the front lines of his cell's operations. His seemingly benevolent cause of fighting for the planet is a cover for his personal vendetta and anger, which he later must come to terms with. Despite his brash and sometimes violent attitude, Barret has a good heart and is torn between fighting and caring for his adopted daughter, Marlene.

Lotte is shy, calm and timid, rarely ever getting angry. She is a kind-hearted girl who earnestly looks after Akko. Lotte is often concerned about Akko, given that her determination to become a witch like Shiny Chariot sometimes makes her go too far, and that she would forget the well-being of friends and people who wish to help her. (This role does have some singing in it)

Sucy is portrayed as an aloof, calm, sarcastic, and somewhat sadistic person. She also surprisingly remains indifferent in various situations and things that drive the other girls crazy, which shows that she is calmer than her roommates.

Haruka is the main heroine of the main 765 Production [redacted] games. Dreaming of being an idol since she was young, Haruka is a very cheerful and hard-working girl who loves to sing. When she was little, she once sang with a young lady who was a talented singer at a park. This moment led Haruka aiming to become an idol to keep on singing for her supporting fans.

Due to her nature, she can quite easily get along with almost anybody. Haruka is also very clumsy, frequently tripping and falling, but despite her clumsiness, she loves to dance and participate in sports events. It is said that she trips and falls once a day, but one of her rumors states that she does it three times a day. One of Haruka's main hobbies is baking sweets. She especially loves to make cakes and cookies and bring them to the office with her and share them with the staff. On her days off Haruka loves to research new recipes or go to the local bakery to buy cakes to study and later try to mimic herself. Because spending time together is an important value to Haruka, she loves her friends and fellow idols from 765 Production immensely and is happiest when she can work and sing together with them.

Dingodile is an antagonist in the Crash Bandicoot series. He's a genetically enhanced hybrid of a dingo and a crocodile, having a crocodile's body and tail, and characteristics of a dingo with an Australian accent. Dingodile had since retired from villainy to open an eatery known as Dingo's Diner, which quickly became infamous for its near-inedible food.

Known for his comically arrogant, saucy, and narcissistic personality, Kuzco is the ruler of the Kuzconian Empire in Peru. When his spoiled behavior gets him transformed into a talking llama, Kuzco slowly comes to realize the error of his ways.

She is one of Kuzco and Kronk's closest friends and Kuzco's love interest, as well as Kuzco Academy's school council president and one of their cheerleaders. After her graduation, Malina becomes a reporter at Kuzconian Times. In this game, she's now married to Kuzco.

Kronk starts as Yzma's loyal assistant, regardless of her constant abuse, helping her where she's too old or unwilling to do things herself. He is often shown to be oblivious, devoid of common sense or otherwise not very intelligent (although he has made some surprisingly smart points at certain times), which leaves him easily susceptible to Yzma's orders. Despite working for Yzma, Kronk is a genuinely kind person, and enjoys helping those around him. His loyalty to Yzma seems to stem largely from being a people pleaser, regardless of the people in question. He also occasionally disobeys Yzma whenever he finds her commands to be too cruel, like when he is told to kill Kuzco by throwing him off the waterfall, but he instead chooses to save Kuzco's life.

She is an evil sorceress and the former advisor to Emperor Kuzco. After being fired from her longstanding position, Yzma becomes obsessed with killing the emperor and usurping his throne as empress. She makes numerous attempts to do so with the aid of her dim-witted assistant, Kronk, and an arsenal of madcap potions.

He's a enigmatic individual who serves as the 'toads mentor, being affectionately referred by them as "Coach". He is known to have an enormous intelligence and great magical talent said to rival even the Dark Queen's own powers, though he has renounced the use of magic in favor of science. (He sounds like a cranky Bentley from Sly Cooper)

He along with Dribble drive a taxi that has been improved by Dr. Crygor and is capable of traveling into space, among other things. They often carry passengers that turn out to be supernatural in some way. The two are easily distracted and therefore forget to collect fares from these passengers.

 Godai is seen as a weird creep and childhood acquaintance to Misako and Kyōko who seems to always know about what's happening with everybody in the city.

Mettaton is a robot with a SOUL, whose body was built by Alphys. He is the sole television star of the Underground.

Maria Notte is a news anchor for Tri Kingdom News, the top news station for the three kingdoms of Avalice. She flies around the planet, searching for juicy stories to boost her network ratings.

Mappy is the eponymous protagonist of the Mappy series. He is an anthropomorphic white mouse who's a police officer that goes after criminal cats, the Meowkies and their boss Goro.

Bosco is the severely paranoid and conspiratorial thinking owner of Bosco's Inconvenience store.

Bluster Blaster is an arcade machine resembling that of Sinistar. His speech is limited to very short and easy phrases spoken with excessive emphasis.

Mr. Zurkon is a recurring synthenoid in the Ratchet & Clank series. Manufactured by GrummelNet, it is a line of robots with a distinct personality, wherein he cracks one-liners and sadistic jokes while firing his laser at enemies.

He is an anthropomorphic jerboa bounty hunter who is greedy and mischievous, seeking to obtain valuables such as the Chaos Emeralds for monetary gain, which has often caused conflict between Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends.[10] Fang is also occasionally hired by Dr. Eggman for his hunting skills, and sometimes enlists the help Bean the Dynamite and Bark the Polar Bear as members of his gang.

In battle, Bean is capable of throwing an endless number of bombs for defense, an ability he uses to get himself into all sorts of mischief for his amusement. He will often times work with Bark the Polar Bear and Fang the Hunter to cause trouble or when hired by Dr. Eggman on missions.

Cassidy is a member of Team Rocket who will occasionally show up to cause our heroes trouble alongside her partner, Butch.

Janga is a foul-mouthed, aggressive alcoholic who is mentally deranged. He does show some intelligence as he kidnaps Lolo so Klonoa's ring can't function. He also knows when to pick a fight and flees when he sees he's met his match. Janga is known to be disloyal and untrustworthy.

Joka is mischievous and a little bit violent. He is extremely loyal to Ghadius and tries desperately to please him. All he really wants is to be recognized by Ghadius.

Formerly an SA-Class Maverick Hunter, he always had violent tendencies and was eager to participate in Sigma's rebellion, becoming an infamous Maverick with a grudge against X.

Ashamed of his failure, Infinite chose to wield the power of the Phantom Ruby not only as a means of becoming stronger, but also to abandon his previous identity.

He a powerful mercenary who serves as a loyal General to Lord Brevon. Unable to resist Brevon's gift of robotic arms, he was infected with a virus that forever enslaved him to Brevon's will. Since then, Serpentine became a member of Brevon's army, rising through the ranks and eventually becoming his top general.

Axel Gear is a ruthless figure with nothing else in mind but his own selfish goals, showing no regrets in kidnapping one of the princesses to blackmail their respective fathers for his own purposes, or killing Mifune Sanjulo to get his hands on the Secret Book of Rocket Knights.

He is a traitorous being, not only betraying the Kingdom of Zephyrus but also planning a rebellion to overthrow the late ruler of Devotindos Empire--Emperor Devligus Devotindos. His lack of loyalty towards everyone makes him untrustworthy in all regards as he clearly only cares about himself and all the ways he could achieve his goals, even if it means to harm innocent people or teaming up with other kingdoms that want to conquer the Kingdom of Zephyrus or Eginasem. Despite his disloyal trait, he is very competent in what he is doing which is the main reason why he gets hired.

He is a time-traveling evil scientist from the Crash Bandicoot series. He is a self-proclaimed master of time and the inventor of the Time Twister Machine, which is a time machine. He was first introduced to the series as working for the evil mask Uka Uka alongside Neo Cortex to achieve world domination in Crash Bandicoot: Warped. However, he has also worked independently from or against them in some games, and partners with other evil characters as he pleases.

Eliza is a diva who loves to be the center of attention. Despite outwardly seeming generous, her true intentions for running the Crimson Ankh blood drives is to keep most of or all of the blood for herself to remain young, beautiful, and powerful forever. Although she prefers to sing on the stage over searching for the Skullgirl, she rediscovered the thrill of the hunt when her hand is forced into finding and defeating the Skullgirl. She is shown to be ruthless to those who oppose her, such as Cerebella, who she killed after she refused to back down upon realizing Eliza's true intentions. Eliza and Sekhmet spend many years with one another to the point where their personalities are synchronized and they act as (and effectively are) one being. Eliza also has a god complex, likely stemming from her actual divinity, that enables her dislike of Trinitism and conquest for world domination.

Albus is one of Eliza's bodyguards, Albus is younger and more aggressive than Horace. Although the two tend to argue, they have no problem working together and are eager to assist Eliza in her time of need.

Lab 7's only successful psychic experiment, most of Brain Drain's body was destroyed in the disaster which consumed the facility. The experience left him doubtful of human reliability, so as far as he is concerned anybody who falls short of his expectations is to be replaced. Because of this ruthless approach, he soon became the widely-feared second-in-command of Lab 0. An expert at analyzing others, he even believes he can construct superior mechanical replicas. It is unknown if he is truly evil, or having most of his body replaced with metal made him completely deaf to his conscience. Despite his sinister nature and inhumane methods, Brain Drain does not appear to work under completely under the motive of self-gain, but rather in the interest of the general population.
