Background:
Victoria Quinn, or "Vic" / "Vivi" for short, is a young anthropomorphic cat from Spagonia that comes from a long family line of famous gem hunters. However, at first, she wasn't interested in continuing the family "business" or going on life-threatening adventures - so she decided to move to Station Square via a foreign exchange program in hopes of earning a degree in Cartography.
Eventually, she did just that and was starting to work off her debt by getting a job as a waitress at The Emerald Coast Café... that is, until Sonic Adventure happened - where she had to quickly grab a lunch tray and hang on for dear life as the waves caused by Perfect Chaos destroyed the city.
Now, with the taste of the pure adrenaline she got from that situation - as well as the realization that she was stuck in an endless cycle of work, her viewpoint essentially did a complete 180 as she traveled back to Spagonia and got herself prepared to head out and recover the lost forgotten gems all throughout the globe - as well as restore her family's name back to its former glory.
Personality:
The best way to describe Victoria in one word would be "go-getter". She's always eager to go off and explore uncharted territories, and make small maps while doing so, in an attempt to collect hidden gems throughout in order to bring them back for the people - in exchange for rings as payment for her services / putting herself in grave danger, of course. However, due to this, she doesn't look too kindly on those who have stolen gems from innocent civilians, museums, or places that need said gems to stay alive - like Rouge or The Babylon Rogues.
She's very friendly despite being bold and brash at points, and is also a lot smarter than most people give her credit for - like being able to repair small gadgets with no problem or being very resourceful when she's out exploring.
However, despite all of this... There are times where she doubts her skills and accomplishments - to the point where she fears that she'll be exposed as a fraud, forever damaging her family's name and letting everyone that she knows down - especially Luna, who's the only other person to have seen this vulnerable side of her.
How She's Involved In STW:
While she was visiting Luna in Central City, she overheard a conversation that The Restoration was in Emerald Town, looking for new recruits in hopes of finding Sonic after he disappeared during his last battle with Eggman - as well as recover the Chaos Emeralds, which have all shattered into pieces before they were sent flying all throughout the world.
With next to no hesitation, she decided to go down and apply in person. Shortly after, she got called in for a physical test led by Knuckles himself - along with 50 other participants. After a long day, she successfully passed the test with 28 others and got assigned to Amy's search party. Thus, on the next day, she got sent out to Never Lake with Amy and 3 other recruits - where they successfully found all the pieces for the green Chaos Emerald and put it back together safely.
However, that success was short lived as Eggman's troops ambushed all of the search parties in their respective locations - which he learned from various recruits that have decided to sell them out in exchange for cold hard cash. Thus, as Amy was being detained, she noticed that Victoria had an opening - so Amy decided to toss the emerald, which was disguised via a black silk bag, towards Victoria and told her to make a run for it and find Sonic.
So, with the emerald in her possession, Victoria decided to listen to Amy and ran away from Never Lake. However, it didn't take the troops long to realize that she had the emerald, so once Amy was sent off to Eggman, they immediately pursued Victoria - which caused her to hijack a boat out of panic and crash it on the nearby Cocoa Island shortly after, which luckily happened to be where Sonic was sent.
Eventually, the troops overwhelmed Victoria - to the point where she was about to be detained until Sonic rescued her, which she then thanked him before giving a brief rundown of what happened and handing him the aforementioned emerald.
They then traveled south towards Tails' vacation house, where they had to defeat Metal Tails - which prompted Metal Sonic to show up and save Metal Tails before leaving a device that allowed them to make direct contact with Eggman, where he revealed that he has successfully kidnapped most of Sonic's friends... as well as poor Luna since Victoria decided to run off instead of letting herself be detained. He then gave them an ultimatum - Gather up the emeralds and bring them all to him, or their friends will meet their untimely ends.
So now, Sonic & Victoria have three goals in mind throughout the game:
Gather The Shards of The Chaos Emeralds & Save Their Friends!
What I'm Looking For:
It's... a bit hard for me to explain, truth be told.
Since she was born and raised in Spagonia, I can imagine her with her with a thick British accent. Not the "Posh" kind, but more of a Rural/Southern & Tomboyish kind - if that makes any sense. I also can't see her having a low / deep vocal pitch, mainly due to both her height (3' 5") and age (18).
The best character example that we have found is Tracer (Overwatch), which hurts me to say, but even then... She's not quite right either, which is a royal pain.
