Strangers (Gacha Film)
Project Overview
Hello, welcome to the audition page for the modern love story 'Strangers' written and directed by Yash R. Krishna. It's animated with Capcut using Gacha sprites as well as other editing software across a few animators. It centers around Chrissy Greenberg, a fanfiction writer, and her unexpected reunion with Alfons Daniels, the ex-boyfriend who cut all contact to "prove himself". After an awkward collision, they pretend to be strangers, a painful performance that protects old wounds. With the help of Rayna, Chrissy's transgender best friend, they slowly dismantle their walls and learn to trust again. The intended message is that authentic love requires vulnerability, not self-protection. Healing from past hurt doesn't mean erasing history, it means integrating pain into a fuller, more honest story. The rules are simple:
1. Be in an area that has less background noise so that you could record clearly.
2. Make sure you do what the script tells you to. Voice the character like you are the character.
3. Follow the emotion markers provided (frustrated, saddened) and make your performance convincing.
4. Make sure to turn in voice auditions on time. Submissions past the deadline will not be accepted.
5. Don't use artificial intelligence to generate audio.
6. When you make a submission, make sure to include your Discord tag so that you can potentially get a DM confirming you got the role.
7. If you feel uncomfortable with anything, let us know immediately and we will take care of it immediately.
When you are logged in, you can comment, add submissions, create projects, upvote, search open roles, and way more. Login here.
Chrissy needs an actor that can behave like she's got internet-savvy main-character energy, especially since she's a fanfic writer.

It's a curse, Rayna. I can't help it. I feel tired every time I wait idly while you are afk. Thanks for the save now that I think about it.
I mean, sometimes. As long as the unpredictability doesn't lead my life into a plot twist, I should be safe.
Okay, don't freak out or anything...But I think...I want to write something original. Entirely mine, with original characters. I don't know how it'll play out yet, but rest assured, I want it to be based on real life. My life.
Alfons Daniels is a dedicated data storage engineer who has a deeply sentimental, nostalgic soul beneath a tendency to isolate himself when vulnerable.

I still don’t quite get why you relocated the office I was working in to here. Though I guess it’s better than tearing it down. Morale is way better when people aren't terrified of layoffs.
Huh, no significant changes. Must be holding on to tradition when it comes to libraries being quiet places. I don’t blame them, really. Many people don’t respect or even know that libraries are not for chatterboxes. No offense to them.
Can’t forget the DVD section. This was the golden age of physical media when it came to watching entertainment. I know about the public stigma that my job is to make them obsolete, but I’ll always love these little guys.
