Project Overview
*This is part 2 of the project, meant for only characters that are not marriage candidates. This is a Fandub of the game Stardew Valley, as it naturally does not have voice acting. This project started by me playing the game and making up voices for the characters until I decided to tell someone about it and they said they would be able to code the mod and so it started! I am aware that this has been tried before and I acknowledge the amount of work that has to be done, so I hope I can find a group of people willing to help me out with this project. This project is non-profit, due to it being a mod. Make sure you read each character description carefully and choose the ones you think fit you the best, but don't let that stop you from auditioning for another one, everybody is welcome to try out for any role they like. Caroline is a villager of Pelican Town. She lives together with her husband Pierre and daughter Abigail. She is a very caring mother but often quarrels with her daughter about the way she dresses or when Abigail dyes her hair, though she often means well. The actress should be able to portray a motherly personality and have a kind-sounding voice.
Is it just me, or does Abigail have an unhealthy interest in doom and gloom? Maybe I'm just too old to understand.
When we first moved here, I took a while to settle down... I wasn't ready for the domestic life. Pierre's a bit traditional... but he's a good man. He's ambitious, but he always puts his family first.

Clint is a villager who lives in Pelican Town and is the local blacksmith. He doesn't like being a blacksmith, but his father wanted him to take over the business. Clint has a crush on Emily but is way too shy and awkward to ever confess to her. He often feels alone because he lives alone and gets depressed thinking about his future. The actor should be able to portray a certain awkwardness and have not much confidence

Demetrius is a villager of Pelican Town. He lives together with his wife Robin, his daughter Maru and his step-son Sebastian. He is a scientist that studies local wildlife and will sometimes ask the players for specific items. He is very protective of Maru and is immensely proud that she is following in his footsteps. The actor should be able to portray a fatherly figure and sound knowledgeable when talking about science
I became a scientist because I wanted to contribute to the progression of our species. Of course, none of this would be possible without farmers such as yourself.
Robin has a hot temper. It's better to stay on her good side. ...now if I could only quantify her mood levels, perhaps I could model the fluctuations using a sinusoidal curve...
How's the farming business going? It's corn season, isn't it? I can imagine it being pretty peaceful, working outdoors with plants all day.
The Dwarf is a valley resident that lives in the mines. At first, they will speak in Dwarvish, which is unreadable for the player, and only after translating some scrolls will the player be able to communicate with them. The actor/ress should be able to improvise as they need to voice some lines in a made-up language, but there is no indication of how the Dwarf should sound like, so you can totally go crazy on how you interpret them. The game's code states that the dwarfs' gender is 'undefined' so anyone can audition.

Evelyn is a villager of Pelican Town. She lives together with her husband George and her grandson Alex. Evelyn has lived in Pelican Town her whole life and often reminisces about the past. She spends her time caring for the community gardens and baking her famous cookies. The actress should be able to convey a sweet grandma that just bakes cookies and worries about nothing.
Don't mind my husband, George. He isn't very friendly to strangers. If you get to know him better he'll warm up to you. I'm sure you two could become good friends one day!
George is always a little less grumpy in the summer. The warm weather softens his bones. You might not be able to tell, but I can. I've known him for sixty years!
Today I'm baking cookies. They're shaped like little pumpkins. Maybe I'll tell you my recipe one of these days
George is one of the villagers in Pelican Town. He lives together with his wife Evelyn and his grandson Alex. He can usually be found sitting in front of the Tv and watching it all day, due to him not wanting to bother going outside in his wheelchair. He is usually very grumpy and displeased with life, so the actor should be able to portray an old grumpy man that doesn't see a point in moving somewhere else than his Tv Set.
My grand-pap was a farmer. It's a respectable profession. If I wasn't so darned old I'd come to your farm and show you a thing or two...

Gus is one of the villagers of Pelican Town and he runs the local saloon, and also lives their. He absolutely loves cooking and often creates new recipes, that astound the whole town. He is very kind and friendly. The actor should have a entertaining voice as he is a bartender often setting the mood somewhere and should sound excited about cooking

Are you much of a chef? If you have a kitchen and some recipes, you can cook some useful dishes. Home-cooked meals make great gifts, as well.
Jas is a villager of Pelican Town. She is very young and lives together with her Aunt Marnie and her godfather Shane. She loves playing with her toys or playing outside with her friend Vincent. The actress should be able to sound like a small girl and be able to sound very energetic.
Um... d...do you want something? I'm not supposed to talk to strangers.
Shane's gone a lot, and Aunt Marnie is busy all the time... so I have to invent my own games. I'm thankful for all my toys

Jodi is one of the Villagers living in Pelican Town. In the first year she lives together with her two sons Sam and Vincent. In the second year her husband Kent returns from being overseas. She likes doing aerobics but most of the times she is stuck cooking and caring for her family. This is yet another motherly figure that needs a soft voice and a calm vibe
Exercise is important for staying healthy. I always make sure to set aside some time for it. As a parent, I don't have much time to devote to myself. So I try and make every minute count.
I'm taking a break from house chores today. I'm taking the day off. If I don't spend any time outside, I'll go crazy! Plus I don't want my legs to turn soft.
We kind of rushed into our marriage, with Kent being a soldier and all... I hardly got a taste of youth and freedom, and now it's too late to ever go back. Just don't make the same mistake.
Kent is a villager in Pelican Town and returns in the second year. He lives together with his wife Jodi and his two sons Sam and Vincent. Kent is a military soldier and it has left quite some scars on him. He has Ptsd and states he has lost many of his comrades in battle. The actor needs to be able to portray both a tough soldier and a broken man.

Krobus is one of the villagers in Pelican Town, he lives in the sewers however. He is wary of the player at first but then warms up to them. He is the only friendly monster you can encounter in the game and you can also become roommates with him. The voice is up for interpretation but it should sound non-human
...Have you encountered others like me, in the mines? I'm sorry if they were hostile towards you. You see, we've learned to fear humans... there have been too many... unpleasant encounters. You haven't... slain any of my friends, have you?

Leo is one of the villagers of Pelican Town. He starts off living on Ginger Island because he lost his parents in a sailing accident and he washed up on the shore. He loves the parrots on the island and considers them his family. He speaks a bit broken since he didn't have to talk to another human for a while. The actor should be able to sound like a frightened boy and after a while needs to able to put a lot of childish energy into the lines.
Miss Penny is doing her best to get me up to speed in my schooling. She's really nice.... ..Luckily, I remember some things from my old, old life... before washing up on the island... so it's not as difficult as it could be. Miss Penny says she's impressed with how much I know!
I'm sure Jas and Vincent thought I was weird, at first. I accidentally squawked at the school table a few times... that didn't help. It was a big change for everyone. But we're good friends now!
Maybe some day, I'll visit Zuzu City... But I'm not even close to being ready, yet. This world is already so strange to me, and I'm very comfortable here right now!
Lewis is a villager in Pelican Town and is also its mayor. He likes being a mayor and takes it very seriously. It is assumed that Lewis has a secret relationship with Marnie. The actor should be able to portray a kind, older mayor but some more awkward lines are needed as well.
I've been Mayor of Pelican Town for over twenty years! No one ever runs against me when it's time for an election. I like to think that it means I'm doing my job well. I like being Mayor.
The saloon gets pretty lively at night. I like to visit once a week or so to catch up on things. And to get a taste of Gus' authentic spaghetti.
Good morning! We're slowly entering the cold months, so I'm seeing my garden to a gentle end.
Linus is one of the villagers in Pelican Town, he is homeless, although he has a tent near the mountains that he lives in. It is stated that Linus chose this life and that he likes living in nature. Many other villagers find him odd but most say that he does not bother anyone, other villagers like Emily mention that she wishes they were accepting towards Linus. The actor should be able to portray a shy older man that doesn't like bothering people but sound very kind
You can learn to survive in the wild. I have. I think we all have a hidden urge to return to nature. It's just a little scary to make the leap.
I have my own reasons for living alone like this. Some things are best left unsaid... I should do some foraging.
I have everything I need to survive, and more. Nature plays a wonderful tune if you can only learn to listen. I also spend a lot of time reading. One of the reasons I stopped in the valley was for the great library.
Marnie is a villager in Pelican Town. She lives on a farm together with her Nephew Shane and her niece Jas. She runs a farm where you can buy animals and animal-related things, and she absolutely adores working with them. She is a very nice lady that will give you advice on how to handle your farm. The actress should sound like an older lady and be able to portray the love for animals.
My nephew Shane has been staying at my place the last few months. He helps me out with the chickens, so I'm not complaining.
I spilled a whole bucket of milk on the floor today, it was horrible. And such a waste of my poor Belinda's hard work.

Pam is a villager in Pelican Town. She lives together with her daughter Penny in a trailer near the river. She spends most of her time drinking at the saloon and working. She is often complaining about herself or her life. The actress should be able to sound a little gruff and have a tougher attitude than most of the characters.
I was reading the newspaper this morning but then I got depressed. It's a rotten world, kid. Keep your head screwed on right and you'll make it through in one piece... That's what my Pappy always used to say. Heh heh heh.

Pierre is a villager in Pelican. He lives together with his wife Caroline and his daughter Abigail. He runs the local general store and has a feud with the other supermarket that has cheaper prices than him. He is a little too overprotective over Abigail and often fights with her. The actor should be able to both portray a stricter father and a charming businessman.
*sigh*... No matter how well the business does, it's never enough to satisfy my desire for success. What's wrong with me? Maybe I'm just bored with domestic life. Some day I'm going to open a new shop in the city and make a killing. Unfortunately, business is so slow I can hardly save any money...
I'll tell you a secret. Sometimes, when the store is empty, I'll practice my opera singing behind the counter. Don't tell anyone.

Robin likes working with wood and you can really feel it as well. She can upgrade the players house and build different buildings for them. The voice actress should be able to convey a hard-working mother, but a hotheaded and temperamental personality.

My husband almost set the house on fire last night with his science experiment. One of his beakers exploded and sent a fireball into the rafters! Thank Yoba I used fire-resistant lacquer when I built the place.

Sandy lives in the desert and operates a shop called Oasis. She gets confused about why there suddenly is a customer as she almost never receives them. She is somewhat flirty. The actress should be able to convey a grown, flirty woman that will often pay compliments to the player and sound mature.

Vincent is a villager of Pelican Town and lives together with his mother Jodi and his brother Sam until his father returns from overseas. He likes bugs and candy, neither of which his mom lets him have enough he states. He is friends with Jas and will often be found playing with her outside or attending class with Penny. The actor should sound like a young energetic boy that loves candy and playing with snails

Willy is a villager in Pelican Town and runs the local fisher shop. He lives on the docks in a little hut. His life is mostly consumed by fishing and running his shop and he will give the player much different advice on fishing. The actor should be able to portray an old fisherman, with a rough voice and a sailor accent.
How's the fishing life going for ya? I try to fish as often as possible, but it's not easy when you've got a shop to run.
If you purchase a high-quality fishing rod, you'll be able to attach bait and tackle to the line. Bait causes fish to bite faster. Tackle can make your job a lot easier when reeling fish in. There are all kinds of tackle, with different perks. They're usually a little flimsy, so don't be surprised if your tackle breaks after a while.
A true angler has respect for the water... don't you forget that.
The Wizard lives in a Tower in the forest a little ways off the town. In the beginning, he helps the player understand the Forest Spirits and is later on requesting the players help with a quest. The actor should be able to sound mysterious, secretive, and possibly even a little dangerous.
It takes years of study to understand the language of the elementals. To actually speak their language requires a lifetime of devoted effort. Now, if you'll excuse me...

I sometimes observe the local villagers in secret. I am hoping to find an apprentice. Some day I will leave this mortal plane, but my arcane pursuits must continue.
The players grandfather shows up in the intro of the game and will be the first thing players hear. What is needed is an older-sounding, loving grandfather voice. He reappears later in the game for the farm evaluation, but not many voice lines are needed.

Mr. Qi is a very mysterious character and gives the player many odd quests during the game. He needs to sound like he has a deep voice but also almost otherworldly, so you can go crazy with some voice filters!
