Stardew Valley: Voices of Pelican Town *Part 1*
Project Overview
*This is only part 1 of the project, meant for only the bachelors and bachelorettes. This is a Fandub of the game Stardew Valley, as it naturally does not have voice acting. This project started by me playing the game and making up voices for the characters until I decided to tell someone about it and they said they would be able to code the mod and so it started! I am aware that this has been tried before and I acknowledge the amount of work that has to be done, so I hope I can find a group of people willing to help me out with this project. This project is non-profit, due to it being a mod. Make sure you read each character description carefully and choose the ones you think fit you the best, but don't let that stop you from auditioning for another one, everybody is welcome to try out for any role they like. Abigail is one of the twelve characters available to marry in the game. She is the daughter of Pierre and Caroline and often quarrels with her parents, as they are often overprotective over her and don't understand her point of view. She is headstrong, has a temperament, and loves practicing her swordsmanship. She likes eating and playing videogames. When she is not doing either of those she plays the flute or hangs out with her friends. The actress should be able to sound confident and stubborn.

Alex is one of the twelve characters available to marry in the game. He lives with his grandparents George and Evelyn. Alex has a cocky demeanor and is overly confident in his abilities as an athlete, and also believes that girls can't play sports and will mention that in his dialogue. He is obsessed with sport and his training so that is almost all you can catch him over the day. He, however, has a dog named Dusty that he adores which shows his soft side. The actor should be able to portray the immense confidence and cockiness he has and in late-game should be able to sound much more caring than in the beginning.

Elliott is one of the twelve characters available to marry in the game. He lives in a little cabin on the beach on his own. He is a writer and is currently writing a novel and can often be seen pursuing his career in his cabin. Elliott is a very gentle and poetic soul and will often speak more gracefully than the other bachelors in the game. The actor should be able to deliver a buttery smooth voice that has a nice flow to it to represent the poetic side of Elliott
The fresh air of this valley is good for body and mind. A quick stroll outdoors always invigorates me.

Emily is one of the twelve characters available to marry in the game. She lives with her sister Haley, while their parents are traveling the world. Emily loves making her own clothes and is quite skilled at doing so. She is a very soft-spoken person and very kind to anyone she meets. The actress should be able to sound like a free soul accepting of anything and anyone and be able to convey a friendly/happy personality.
Sometimes the flowers speak to me... each one has a different story to tell!

Haley is one of the twelve characters available to marry in the game. She lives with her sister Emily while their parents are traveling the world. She loves girly things like going clothes shopping and doing her makeup. Being wealthy and spoiled by her parents made her self-centered and somewhat judgmental about appearances. The actress should be able to portray a somewhat snobby personality and make the character sound like she only cares about herself.
This town is so small. It sucks. I have to drive, like, twenty miles to buy any decent clothes. That's why I usually just order online... What?

Don't you get tired of running around on that farm all day, or whatever it is you do? I couldn't stand getting all dirty like that. You probably get a nice tan, though.
Harvey is one of the twelve characters available to marry in the game. He lives above the town clinic and is also the doctor in Pelican Town. He cares a lot about living a healthy life and will often give advice to the player to take better care of their health. He likes using his radio to contact any planes flying by and talking to the pilots, as he originally wanted to be a pilot but his eyesight prevented him from doing so. The actor should be able to sound like a doctor offering advice and should sound very calm and composed.
I hate to say this, but I do make a lot more money during flu season. I guess if people stopped getting sick, I'd be out of business. Don't get the wrong idea! I want people to be healthy... really!
Don't overwork yourself. Doctor's orders! Your health is important to me.
Extreme temperatures can put your body under a lot of stress, so make sure to bundle up! Oh and enjoy the festival!
Leah is one of the twelve characters available to marry in the game. She lives in a small cabin just outside of town. She loves carving sculptures and painting pictures, but is too shy to display them in public. She is quite unsure about her talents and could use a little confidence boost. She like spending time in nature and respects it a lot. The actress should be able to portray a kind, nature-loving person and should speak softly
This morning I accidentally stepped on a bug. Sometimes I think it's impossible to live without destroying nature in some way.
I wonder if I could make a collage out of dried leaves? They're just so colorful... I can't help but think of the potential for art projects.
We wouldn't be able to survive without nature. It's good to remember that.
Maru is one of the twelve characters available to marry in the game. She lives together with her parents Robin and Demetrius. Daughter of a carpenter and a scientist, she developed an interest in creating and tinkering with whatever she can find. She also works together with Harvey at the clinic. She is an ambitious and outgoing personality. The actress should be able to put energy into the lines and should sound confident and extroverted
I bet you're growing some interesting crops right now. Dad says a lot of exotic plants grow in the valley this time of year.

Penny is one of the twelve characters available to marry in the game. She lives with her mom Pam in a small trailer near a river. She is very shy and modest and doesn't have many ambitions in life except for settling down and starting a family. She also teaches Vincent and Jas because there is no school in Pelican town, so she takes over as the tutor for both. The actress should be able to convey a shy nature and be rather quiet.
We don't have a school here but I'm doing my best to give Vincent and Jas a proper education. Every child deserves a chance to be successful. Jas is very good at math and reading Vincent is good at... well, he has an active imagination
It's kind of embarrassing to be the only family in town who lives in a trailer. I wish I could live in a nice house, someday.
We're very lucky to have a library in such a small town. When you're lost in a book, it's easy to forget the realities of your life. ...Maybe that's why I like reading so much. ...Sorry. I got carried away there.
Sam is one of the twelve characters available to marry in the game. He lives together with his parents Kent and Jodi. Sam likes practicing guitar in his room or is often seen playing videogames or doing skateboard tricks in front of the house. He is full of energy and very outgoing. The actor should be able to put much youthful energy into the lines and radiate a friendly energy.
Hmm. I just remembered that I was supposed to do something... But I forgot. This happens to me all the time.
Oh! I just remembered I'm supposed to call my Grandma. Okay, I'm going to put this rubber band on my wrist so I don't forget. I have to make little reminders for myself or else I'll totally forget to do things.

Sebastian is one of the twelve characters available to marry in the game. He lives together with his step-father Demetrius and his mother Robin, Maru is his half-sister, but he does not pay her much attention because he thinks his parents pay Maru more love and attention than him. He loves sci-fi novels, videogames, and comics and will often be found in his room for a long time. The actor should be able to portray a grumbling young adult that dislikes how much attention his sister is getting and just generally sound displeased with life.
Why does everyone like Maru so much? Sure, she's smart and friendly, but don't they realize it's all just an attention-grabbing scam? Sorry...
I usually stay inside, but I do go to the beach now and then. Pretty much only when it's raining, though. For some reason, staring off into the bleak horizon makes me feel... I dunno. Like it's worthwhile to keep pushing on, I guess.
It's fun to live so close to the train tracks. It's a reminder that there's a big world out there.
Shane is one of the twelve characters available to marry in the game. He lives together with his Aunt Marnie on a farm. He is often rude to people and sounds generally displeased with life. He suffers from depression and alcohol dependence. He does not have many hobbies and can usually be found working or drinking at the saloon. When the player befriends him, he gets much less rude towards them. The actor should be able to sound rough and displeased with life, drunk voice lines will also be required so the ability to act those out is necessary.

I guess I've grown attached to Marnie and Jas. We're a ragtag bunch but it kind of feels like a weird family. I never really had much of a family as a kid.
