Project Overview
What is Star Wars Galaxies Legends?
Join with Star Wars fans across the world and jump into exciting adventures 24 hours a day, seven days a week! You and your friends will travel to legendary Star Wars locations with famous faces from the films. Along the way, you can meet up with others on missions that take you across the galaxy, fighting against many familiar foes from the Star Wars universe. If combat isn't your thing, you can choose to support those fighters through crafting necessary items or providing entertainment that inspires combatants to fight harder. Currently, there's always 1,500+ players online during peak hours and the game is very active!
In essence, we're a community of star wars fans that have faithfully revived a beloved star wars game and we're looking to provide a modern feel for it. This means updating the game to keep things up to date and new while also providing a fresh and high quality experience. This project is completely based off our dedicated time and effort to improve the game and we dont charge our players to play. We do allow donations! But other than that this is all based off our love and dedication to star wars and this game.
Who am I? What are we aiming to do here?
I'm one of the developers for SWGLegends and a sound engineer for the game. I update sounds to make them have a more modern and HD feel inside of the game while also creating new ones to both enhance the old sounds and bring life to our new content all while maintaining a star wars feel. I am also a texture and graphical designer for the game, adding textures to our new content.
My team and I have been inspired by SWG'S "successor" (I mean that lightly because this is the reason why the game was shut down) and that's The Old Republic. We loved how the quests were voice and we're also interested in bringing life to an otherwise text world. We're actually going to start with voice acting quests as well as our end game dungeons, then move to adding in world immersion by providing lively NPCs that talk when they walk by.

What we're looking for and rules
As stated above, we'll be starting with quests and finding a cast for the main characters that can commit to staying around! Regarding the main characters (Darth Vader, Luke, Han Solo, ex...) we're looking for a cast that's willing to stick around for a few years. We'll be super flexible in working with you however!
Regarding regular NPCs, this is where it can become a bit more free form with the voices! Currently not looking for anyone to do alien voices at the moment but honestly if you want to try, we'd love it. Besides that we're looking for people who want to do regular civilians, imperial personnel, and even some of the minor casts if you're interested (Admiral Thrawn, General Dodana, ex...}. These voices as a stated will be more off your own personal taste and we'll fit you with NPCs you think your voice would match well with!

As far as rules, we're looking for:
- Main Casts are required to be committed for a few years or until we voice them fully in the game
- Required: Decent mic and little background noise
- Required: A discord to communicate with the development team
- Required: Turning in your lines on time. We're 100% willing to be flexible with this we understand that you have a life too!
- You're more than free to voice multiple things! We only ask you let us know before we proceed

=Main Character=
Han Solo rose from an impoverished childhood on the mean streets of Corellia to become one of the heroes of the Rebel Alliance. As captain of the Millennium Falcon, Han and his co-pilot Chewbacca came to believe in the cause of galactic freedom, joining Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa in the fight against the Empire. After the Battle of Endor, Han faced difficult times in a chaotic galaxy, leading to a shattering confrontation with his estranged son Ben. He's a reckless smuggler with a cocky attitude to boot.

Good work kid. No wonder the Empire grabbed you. With the war on, anyone who can use their brains or a blaster is up for grabs.
(In a hurry) The name's Han Solo and this is Chewbacca. Look, we're short on time... Reinforcements should be on the way. Let's get outta here.
(Relieved) Great work up there, kid! Things can get a little rough when you cross the Empire; those TIEs tore apart the Falcon. Anyways, I have a little gift for you from... some friends.
=Main Character=
Luke Skywalker was a Tatooine farmboy who rose from humble beginnings to become one of the greatest Jedi the galaxy has ever known. Along with his friends Princess Leia and Han Solo, Luke battled the evil Empire, discovered the truth of his parentage, and ended the tyranny of the Sith. A generation later, the location of the famed Jedi master was one of the galaxy’s greatest mysteries. Haunted by Ben Solo’s fall to evil and convinced the Jedi had to end, Luke sought exile on a distant world, ignoring the galaxy’s pleas for help. But his solitude would be interrupted – and Luke Skywalker had one final, momentous role to play in the struggle between good and evil.
Notes: We're looking for a Empire Strikes Back/New Hope Luke here so he's still a bit young as opposed to being composed in episode 6
(Normal) Great work. I've gathered up all the crew here, and now we can get them off the planet. Look, I need to get back to my x-wing... I think I saw something lurking around it, and I can't afford to try and fly these guys escort if my ship is damaged. I'll be back in a bit.
(Disappointed) But I was going into Tosche Station to pick up some power converters!
(Serious) I want to come with you to Alderaan. There’s nothing for me here now. I want to learn the ways of the Force, and become a Jedi like my father.
=Main Character=
Princess Leia Organa was one of the Rebel Alliance’s greatest leaders, fearless on the battlefield and dedicated to ending the tyranny of the Empire. Daughter of Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker, sister of Luke Skywalker, and with a soft spot for scoundrels, Leia ranks among the galaxy’s great heroes. But life under the New Republic has not been easy for Leia. Sidelined by a new generation of political leaders, she struck out on her own to oppose the First Order as founder of the Resistance. These setbacks in her political career have been accompanied by more personal losses.
Notes: In this, she's more confident. We're looking for a Episode 5 kind of leia where she's less so a princess now and more so becoming a leader in the Alliance.
(Happy) Great, I'm glad you were able to get back to us unharmed. The Alliance greatly benefits from your heroics in that fire fight.
(Confident) All troop carriers will assemble at the north entrance. The heavy transport ships will leave as soon as they're loaded. Only two fighter escorts per ship. The energy shield can only be opened for a short time, so you'll have to stay very close to your transports.
(Annoyed) Governor Tarkin, I should have expected to find you holding Vader’s leash. I recognized your foul stench when I was brought on board.
=Main Character=
C-3PO is a droid programmed for etiquette and protocol, built by the heroic Jedi Anakin Skywalker, and a constant companion to astromech R2-D2. Over the years, he was involved in some of the galaxy’s most defining moments and thrilling battles -- and is fluent in more than seven million forms of communication. In the years after the Empire’s defeat C-3PO served Leia Organa, becoming the head of a Resistance spy ring aimed at undermining the First Order.
Notes: This character will be unique as he'll also provide tutorial information. That's why you see a mix of some lines being serious and regular tutorial lines. Refer to the first 2 minutes of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMn2QtULMAs

=Main Character=
Once a heroic Jedi Knight, Darth Vader was seduced by the dark side of the Force, became a Sith Lord, and led the Empire’s eradication of the Jedi Order. He remained in service of the Emperor -- the evil Darth Sidious -- for decades, enforcing his Master’s will and seeking to crush the fledgling Rebel Alliance. But there was still good in him…
Notes: Do not worry about altering your voice for him to give your voice that robotic feel. I can do that myself but we encourage it if you can do that yourself!!! That would boost your chances.
(threatening) Throttle back your engines and prepare to be boarded!
(Confident) I’ve been waiting for you, Obi-Wan. We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner; now I am the master.
(Threatening) I hope so for your sake, the Emperor is not as forgiving as I am
Nym is a minor character in stars wars first introduced in star wars starfighter. He's a pirate that has his own fortress and outpost on a planet near Tatooine. He's reckless and very confident in his actions and crews as he's been through both wars without problems. He leads a group known as Nym's Pirates on the planet lok and has a successful pirating operations base set up there where the empire doesn't give him a lot of trouble.

(Upset) You've got my bomber! that's all I care about.
(Amused) You come here into my fortress and ask for my help? (Laughs) You got a lot of guts I'll give you that. If what you're putting on the table is good, I'll consider lending you the help of my crew.
(Annoyed/Angry) I already thought I got rid of those droids during the Clone War but they still keep coming. They need to pay for the years of abuse they've put my crew through and we need to destroy that droid factory. IG-88 will pay for this!
With his customized Mandalorian armor, deadly weaponry, and silent demeanor, Boba Fett was one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy. A genetic clone of his “father,” bounty hunter Jango Fett, Boba learned combat and martial skills from a young age. Over the course of his career, which included contracts for the Empire and the criminal underworld, he became a legend.
Notes: We're looking to find a voice that comes close to the voice in the movies but we're willing to work with what we have. No need to add the helmet voice effect into your audition but if you do, you do get plenty of brownie points for doing so.
(Annoyed) What if he doesn't survive? He's worth a lot to me.
(Normal) You are foolish to waste your kindness on this dumb creature. No lower life form is worth going hungry for.
(Normal) Jabba has very little patience. Find your target, capture him, and bring him to me. He's not worth anything to me dead. Fail me, and you'll be worth a lot to Jabba dead or alive.
We're looking for both female and male imperial officers.
Imperial officers give off an aura of fear to their subordinates and exude confidence. They strongly believe the Empire is the best thing that's ever happened to this galaxy and they're not afraid to let others know that. Some officers have minor english accents but almost all of them sound condescending. We're looking for multiple roles as there are plenty of imperial officers in the galaxy. (Commanding, charging into battle) Your empire needs you! Onward for your Emperor!
(Annoyed) Your performance on this task has been lacking. Do I need to remind you the Empire does not tolerate insolence and stupidity, or would you rather experience that yourself on the mines of kessel, trooper.
(Confident, speaking to Darth Vader) There's no doubt the Empire will exceed your expectations my lord. I will personally see to it that your task is completed with impunity.
Storm Troopers: Storm Troopers always have an air of confidence and ignorance that they carry with them as they believe the Empire is truly the ruling force in the galaxy. Some troopers have an english accent while others just have an american accent.
Rebel Troopers: Rebel Troopers are more open ended and varied as they contain a lot of different people and not just humans that support the empire. Rebels come from all sorts of cultures around the galaxy and as such you can be more care free with how you voice them. They do believe in their cause but also give a very little hint of uncertainty.

(Normal) Checking in sir. Sector looks clear. No sign of any [Imperials/Rebels] here. Moving onto the next rendezvous point.
(Commanding) You, halt! Let me see your identification. (Pause) Alright, everything checks out. Proceed into the base.
(Worried/Panic) Soldiers down! We have been ambushed by [Imperial/Rebel] forces! We're getting beat up down here and need back up immediately!
