Spooktober Visual Novel Jam
Project Overview
I am looking to help contestants for the upcoming Spooktober Visual Novel Jam contest find talent for their projects. I am the host and organizer of the annual Spooktober Visual Novel Jam, and I'd like to build this audition and load it with talent so I can share it out during our live meetings. The teams involved may opt to pay for voice work, but I would suggest only going after this if it sounds like fun since competition can be pretty steep and not all teams may be willing to pay.
All auditions will be public. The jam by its rules does not allow NSFW submissions so I would expect the actual roles you get. The jam runs from September 1st to September 30th, and judging is October. We have team building events throughout August, and two live meetings August 21st and 28th. There are cash prizes for the top 3 teams in the competition, and a cash prize for best overall actor.
If you don't have the time to audition on the roles and lines below, feel free to drop a demo reel in roles you'd be interested in playing for a team.

Narrators can be anything from sassmeisters to stoic voices behind the curtain. Narration is not uncommon in visual novels, and a solid voiced narration can make or break an experience. The first line is the opening line from The House of Fata Morgana. The second line is the first line from Steins;Gate. Feel free to stop after the second line, or free style a bit if you feel up to it.

Freestyle your own narrator lines.
Protags have a huge range of variability. From valiant heroes and anti-heroes to underdogs and kids next door.
"Alright! Lets split up for clues!"
"The world is indeed comic, but the joke is on mankind."
Freestyle some lines. Try cheesy, heroic, or snarky.
Antagonists in Halloween media can be anything from bullies stealing candy on Halloween to honest to goodness monsters. Many visual novels are defined by their antagonists more than their protagonists.
"Oh, look. Another glorious morning. It makes me sick."
"Mmm. Delicious. Mwahahaha! "
Freestyle an antagonist. Campy, sinister, childish, brutish, or even monster like.
