Spirits of Mementos — DEMO
Project Overview
This project is for a demo remake of my game, Spirits of Mementos. The voice actors that are cast for this demo will be asked to return for the full game later on.BEFORE AUDITIONING, PLEASE KNOW THAT THE FULL PROJECT WILL INCLUDE: CURSING, VIOLENCE, AND (PSYCHOLOGICAL + DIVINE) HORROR ASPECTS.
PLOT SYNOPSIS —You are Kamiko Shiou, a 16-year-old who's been homeschooled ever since you moved into the city with your mother and older sister. You've gotten accustomed to your quiet and simple life, thinking of it as a peaceful way to live.
Recently, your mother has enrolled you into a reputable school, Mementos Academy for the Gifted. Thinking little of it, you expect a rejection message and the ability to move on with your life the way it's been for the past few years.
To your surprise, you're met with an acceptance letter and are now en route to what you've heard is a possibly haunted institution with enigmatic students. Do you have what it takes to survive the year or will you end up another sacrifical lamb for the student council?
In the full version, Spirits of Mementos will be a horror game disguised as a dating sim. The player will be able to choose and finish routes like normal, but certain paths will reveal the horror aspect more and more.

Eve Kutsuki is a bright and determined girl who takes her job quite seriously. She takes pride in being the STUCO president, and does her best to help out other students as much as she can. Eve has priorities and knows who she wants to be seen as. She works hard to reach her goals, and such, most of the school looks up to her.
Before her, her older brother was the STUCO president. Eve looks up to him, and claims she wants to be just as great as him. Now that she's where she wanted to be, however, she aims to be greater, going by the mindset that she can always be a better version of herself.
NOTE — if you could play around with accents for her, that'd be really cool! I want to see how they might fit her :)

Oh, hello! I'm Eve Kutsuki, Mementos Academy's Student Council President. It's nice to meet you, are you new here? Oh.. Alright! Well, be sure to let me know if you need any help ~ I'll be happy to assist!
Well.. The academy's been up for a long time. I do as much research as I can on our history, but I'm not sure how it started to get as famous as it is—Huh? Ghost stories? Don't be silly, every school has those! It doesn't mean we're haunted.
I'd be really happy to show you around when we get to the island. I know a really good mall to shop at! Just bring your wallet, okay?
16 years old, any pronouns, the main character of the game.
Kamiko Shiou is a teen who is usually reserved. After moving into Shinjuku with their mother at the age of 10, Kamiko was homeschooled until recently. They were never really good at socializing, and don't have friends outside of ones they've met online.
Kamiko is rather awkward upon first meeting people, but they do their best to appear likeable. They're actually quite smart as well, but due to their short temper and sensitivity, adults tend to undermine their abilities. As soon as they feel comfortable around someone, Kamiko tends to stay close to them, becoming more talkative and cheery.

On second thought, I'd rather not tell them I'm going to Mementos.. They'd totally freak. If they find out, then that's a problem for Future Kamiko. I'm going to sleep!
[crying] It's not fair... I never wanted to go. I don't want to leave mom. I don't want to leave Kyura.. I don't wanna be sent away like this..
21 years old, she/her, Kamiko's older sister.
She's a minor character, but appears several times throughout the game.
Kyura is a young woman who is currently studying psychology. She is often praised by her peers and parents for her intelligence. She is level-headed and cares a lot about her mother and younger sibling, doing her best to always look out for them.
[teasing] Kamiko! You actually got out of your room for once and decided to grace us with your presence for dinner. What's the big occasion?
Miko, I promise that you'll be okay. You're a smart kid, yeah? I'm sure you'll get to the top in no time! Besides, you're amazing as well.
Before you go, I want you to have this. It's my necklace, to show you that no matter what, I'm just one call away, and I'll always be here to listen.
Late 40s to early 50s. She/her, Minor character (Kyura and Kamiko's mother), appears a few times over the whole game.
She divorced with her husband 6 years back, moving away to Shinjuku with her children.
She's quite overprotective, but really wants the best for her children. She is often angered easily, but quick to apologize if she's in the wrong. She is also very proud and enthusiastic about her children's achievements, doing her best to support them.
