Project Overview

Spiked is an indie animated series created by Vasizzlenilla. The series follows the work-life of Anthony Aspen, a warm-hearted father and architect at Happy Home Co, who tries to uncover the secrets behind the dark disappearances of his co-workers throughout the series.

Happy Home Co. is a real estate development company that, in reality, is a corrupt, dystopian, and wealthy establishment.

CAUTION: This show may contain various sensitive topics such as: death, murder, mild swearing (ex. “damn”), substance abuse, and mental health.

Additionally, This is an amateur passion project, which means: I am not a professional, and I have not researched or worked on anything related to Real Estate. Although my inexperience, I am willing to learn as this project continues. Whether you have a similar level of inexperience or not, I will not discourage your audition. Let’s learn together!

Similar to Gravity Falls, Spiked is a serial with episodic elements.

On the side of being a passion project, this show is also aimed to target and spread awareness about mainly SDG 8.8, and other issues that may apply.

The deadline for auditions is December 13, 2025. However, the artist, animator, and musical composition roles will close at a later date, which will be determined by the amount of auditions or accepted individuals for each role.

DISCORD is required, as it will be the main source of contact we will share throughout production. Please ensure to attach your Discord tag under your audition.

(P.S. This server is intended only to be used up until Spiked’s pilot episode releases (which means deletion), due to my inexperience and time constraints with moderating servers, but I may allow it to be up for a much longer time if garnered enough members and willing/trustworthy moderators!)

All production members must have a clear and fluent understanding of English.

Ensure that your video/audio/image quality is considered somewhat high.

The work will be zero-hours, you can work any time you are available!

If this project turns out to be EXTREMELY successful, I will be able to pay you depending solely on Ko-fi, Patreon, and YouTube. Since internet fame usually depends on luck, and it’s not exactly a thing you can easily reach, the biggest chances are that you won’t be paid on this project.

  • SHORTENED DEADLINE ‼️

    Due to the unprecedented, roaring amount of auditions, I’m afraid that shortening the deadline for submissions should be expected. Sorting through auditions may take a wild amount of time—especially since I’m the only one on the team right now!

    I thank everyone who auditioned; all of you are SO TALENTED! So good, in fact, that I’ve been having a hard time to decide! Unfortunately, only one of each voice actor shall be used for one of each character. (Except a little someoneee…..) But, really, I don’t know how to thank you all ENOUGH for this much support! I met so many cool people and heard such cool songs and voices!

    Back when I started this project, I never intended for it to be a series—and I definitely wasn’t expecting this many people to be so willing to lend a helping hand. Thank you all.

The main antagonist of SPIKED

Spike usually has a low-resolution, quick, playful, energetic, choppy, unstable, robotic, sinister-like voice. However, Spike can quickly change and adjust its voice into more of a comforting and warm tone, still having a bit of that unease.

Background artists will be responsible for, well, the backgrounds! Backgrounds give a lively and realistic feel to the setting, and how the story and character align with them.

The props and such will occasionally be handled by background artists as well, but animators are responsible for animating them if interacted with. 2D Background artists are also responsible for ensuring that in cases where the background is animated, they will be ready to provide separate layers of the background for the animators. If you apply as a 3d background artist, assuming the scene you‘re working on is required to move, you‘re required to animate the camera to fit the storyboards.
