Description
Elsa is the captain of the Clockwork crew. She is a strong, loyal, and ethically driven individual. She feels partly responsible for the zombie outbreak, and thus feels obligated to rid the galaxy of the infection at any cost. She's become a worn-down, stressed out, and guilt stricken workaholic. As her exhaustion mounts, she becomes increasing more temperamental with her misfit crew members, treating them as children she's forced to baby-sit (which in many cases is absolutely true).

What the? ... Carl, what is wrong with
that bloody Rez drive?Carl, seriously?! Do you realize crew
members suffocated on the lower decks because you routed power from
life support to play stupid video games?Alright, I'm bringing the weapons
online, if that is indeed what you want to call this garbage. Let's
blast open some of these containers. Maybe we can find something to
eat that won't make our hair fall out.
Description
Carl is the most popular character in the SPAZ universe, and provides most of the comedy. He is a partially cybernetic, savant. While he is brilliant, he is also rude and childish. He'll never admit to it, but he's unable to take care of himself, or interact with others in a positive way. He never passes up an opportunity to insult someone in the most cruel way imaginable. Carl isn't inherently evil, but his lack of compassion comes across as being indifferently evil.

Age: 40's
Character Type: Lead
Word Count: 3800
Payment: $1200 USD
Voice Type: Deadpan
Voice Strain: Normal Speaking, Conversational
Traits And Quirks
The science officer
Self centered
Extremely rude
Too smart
Sociopath, but not malicious
Narcissistic and arrogant
Obsessive, especially when it comes to the zombie infection
Indifferent to the wellbeing of others
Extra Notes
Carl has a large number of cybernetic implants, making him talk a little bit like a computer (lacking emotion). Carl also speaks very clearly, using no contractions (says "it is" vs "it's")

A slight German accent may work well here, but is not required
Sigh! It seems like yet again you
dimwits have flown my ship headlong into an infested region. That is
the third time this week. 6 million forms of communication, and I'm
yet to find one that can articulate how moronic you fools are.
Computer, power up the weapons and shield emitters. The doctor is
in!Silence imbecile! They gave their
lives for the greater good. A scientific mind must stay active, or
it would whither and wrinkle. I'll boil any ocean. I'll irradiate a
whole litter of Narlakian pups. I'll divide by zero if I have to!BY THE ENDLESS VOID IN A CHICKEN
BASKET! Look at how the infection has replicated itself on inanimate
material like that. I am going to disable the ships weapon systems,
so you trigger tickling simpletons do not obliterate this precious
sample opportunity for me.
Description
Jamison used to be a U.T.A admiral before they were disbanded. Following the events of SPAZ 1, he aimed to make peace with the clockwork crew and join their efforts in destroying the zombie infection. Now that he has a permanent station on the ship, he is constantly ridiculing the other crewmen about their undisciplined nature.
Unbeknownst to the crew, Jamison is secretly infected and is becoming a new manifestation of the dark entity (the zombie alpha / leader)

Voice Type: Gruff, Potentially more gruff once zombified, but we may audio filter.
Voice Strain: Normal Speaking, Conversational ( one scream on character death)
Traits And Quirks
Used to be a high ranking admiral
Career oriented
Overconfident, he is his own biggest and only fan
Has little regard for the casualties of war, the ends justify the means
Computer illiterate
Hates Carl
Secretly has the zombie infection
Changes during the course of the story
Extra Notes
While the computer synthesized voice for Jamison has an accent, this is not a required trait. Please read with whatever accent you feel comfortable speaking, or provide accent samples if you are able to speak them clearly.
Jamison undergoes 2 changes during the story, as he slowly gets corrupted by the zombie infection. The second state is subtle (center image), while the final stage is quite pronounced. If fitting, please read the infected lines with some infected pizzazz. The 2 infected stages of Jamison will have a digital treatment similar to the link below.

I told you he would cause trouble if
you leave him to his own whim. Those implants can really make a man
sick in the melon. Elsa, he is a liability if we keep him on board.Do you know what the definition of
insanity is? Well, it is not doing the same thing over and over
expecting a different result. I checked the dictionary. However,
that is literally the definition of practice. We have all practiced
this over and over. Now let's drop those training wheels and
execute.(Partially infected, unfiltered) Look,
don't fly off the handle here, but I've been positive for a long
while now. I've been living with it for almost a decade, unbeknownst
to any of you. I just needed you all ... elsewhere ... while I spun
myself a cocoon and evolved into the butterfly before you ... you
know ...metaphorically.
