Project Overview

INTRODUCTION

Hello, this casting call is for a new Sonic the Hedgehog Roblox animated fan film called "Sonic Fracture". We're casting many characters, all of which will be in English.


OVERVIEW

Upon the emergence of a being who's age exceeds the comprehensible cosmos, Sonic, Tails, Blaze and Marine set out to gather the Chaos Emeralds to prevent an imminent catastrophe.

This film aims to give a fun action filled adventure set in the mainline Sonic game universe. The story will take inspiration from the Sonic Rush games and building upon those games narratives. We're aiming for a total runtime of 50 minutes.

  • The current due date for auditions is on August 8th, 2023.
  • Whether you'd like to master your audio to your liking is up to you.

  • The first draft is complete!

    Hey everyone! It's been a long while since the previous update, but I'm glad that I can say that the first draft of the screenplay for Sonic Fracture is complete. It shouldn't be that much longer before I have my editor help with revising, so finalization should take place soon.

    I want to once again thank all of the auditioners that have volunteered to take part in the project! Without all of you, this project wouldn't have been realized to how it is now.

    Once things are properly in order, production on animation and the like will begin. Trust me when I say that I can't wait to be properly working on the film alongside you all! Thank you all for taking part in this passion driven fan film, and be on the lookout for big things coming soon!

  • Final stages of auditions/Screenplay is underway!

    Hey all! So far, I think I've got a solid basis for what the overall plot is for Sonic Fracture (final title yay!), so I'll be writing the film soon enough. Additionally, auditions are gonna be available until April 1st at 5:00 PM CST. We're still looking for more auditions for both Shadow the Hedgehog and our anonymous antagonist. Thank you all for auditioning so far and I hope to hear from ya'll soon!

    Hey guys, thank you all so much for sharing your auditions! I never thought I'd get this many and I'm carefully considering every one of them.

    The film's story is still being written with several versions of the plot outline being conceived, so the final script is still a long ways ahead, but It'll be finished sooner than you think! I think I've got a solid outline for what I want to do, so I'll update you whenever I can!

Created to serve the nefarious Dr. Eggman at every whim (with arguably mediocre succession) Orbot is the spineless steel subordinate for the Eggman Empire. Orbot has gone through many iterations over the years, from being a mere design for a badnik only meant to inhabit Ice Cap, to a further prototype of his design used for SA-55 during Eggman's debacle with Dark Gaia. That has led to the creation of the Orbot we know today. The sassy spherical droid that serves to assist the doctor to the best of his ability (even if it makes his life harder). Renowned professor of Spagonia University, Professor Pickle is a mastermind scientist when it comes to ancient secrets and literature. He's studied many subjects relating to the planet's past such as ancient tribes, species and gods, and uses such knowledge to pass on to other bright minds. One bright mind in particular was Miles "Tails" Prower, whom of which he helped during the Dark Gaia crisis. The professor and Prower formed a bond over science and mysteries, and Tails even learned a lot of life lessons from his time spent with Professor Pickle. Use this as a reference for how the voice should sound.

The mayor of Crystal Cabin, Crystal the Caracal is willing to do anything to maintain the piece for her fellow residents. After the Metal Virus struck the world, one of the fabled Chaos Emeralds landed on the outskirts of the village. Since then, the town has been safekeeping the emerald knowing that Sonic the Hedgehog will need it eventually to save them all. Use this as a reference for how the voice should sound.

Tikal the Echidna

A young and kind-hearted girl of the Knuckles clan who's life was taken by the forces of evil and greed, Tikal the Echidna now lives on as a red illuminant spirit the floats through the skies of Angel Island. She was the sole daughter of the leader of the Knuckles echidna tribe, Pachacamac. Pachacamac sought out the mysterious power of the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald to gain an edge over the rivaling tribes, but Tikal vowed against it as she saw the humanity within the emeralds only remaining species of guardians, the Chao. But due to Pachacama's greed, the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald unleashed the fury of a mutated Chao now known as Chaos. This completely wiped out the tribe, and only through the help of Sonic the Hedgehog was Chaos able to live on in the heavens at peace with Tikal. The secondary lead alongside Sonic and princess of the Sol Dimension, Blaze is a wise and stoic character but tends to keep her feelings to herself. She usually works alone but has learned to trust others through Sonic. Though she's pyrokinetic, she often sees her power as curse rather than a gift. She is ever so devoted to and prideful about her position as Guardian of the Sol Emeralds that she won't let anything happen if it risks their safety. Knuckles the Echidna lives a life of solitude on Angel Island to protect the Master Emerald, only accompanied by the Chao and Flickies that inhabit the area. He is strong, hot headed, quick to act, and gullible due to his isolation. The only times he leaves his island is to either help Sonic save the world when he can't do it alone or to put the Master Emerald back together when it's broken. Artificially created 50 years ago aboard the space colony known as the ARK to be the "Ultimate Life Form", Shadow the Hedgehog is a strong, sophisticated and noble fighter that vows to give the people of earth a better chance at life. On the surface, he might seem like a stone cold and bruting agent of G.U.N. that only serves to be Sonic's bitter rival and to fight powerful opponents, but truly has a heart of both gold and sorrow due to his former life on the ARK being taken away from him by G.U.N. long ago with his final memories from that place being of his best friend, Maria Robotnik being shot after asking him to bring hope to humanity. He now serves to protect the lives of humans, ignoring his past and not letting anyone dictate his actions as many have tried to do numerous times. He is cunning, silent, sinister, and calculated and has lived long enough to know exactly how to carry out his plan. What is his plan? Who even is he? What even is he?? He should sound like this from 0:00 to 1:52 only much more quiet and calculated much like Infinite but like.. actually cool. He does have his bombastic moments, though.
