Sonic: Base Level Boosted (ROUGE CASTING)
Project Overview
This project is a retelling of beloved Sonic stories adapted from the games into comic form, and the chapters will be dubbed for YouTube as well! It will be an ongoing project, so we expect anyone who auditions to be prepared to be working on this for a decently long amount of time. It may be required that voice actors join Discord calls and perform their lines with a director, but it may depend on scheduling. In any case, we ask that all voice actors that audition be aware of this and are prepared for any possibility. We also ask that you have a wide range of emotions and that you're able to act scenes that can be emotionally heavy or action packed. It will be required that all voice actors have relatively good microphone quality with minimal echo/background noise, auditions may be nullified if microphone or environment quality isn't up to standard. We also ask that you record multiple takes for your lines so that we can really get a feel for your acting prowess, at least 3 takes for each line included. Having a Discord will also be required as that's where our whole team works, please provide your username and @ when submitting your work. Please provide all audio in the form of .wav or .mp3 files. This casting call is just to see if taking a different direction may work, so if you auditioned for the first casting call your work will still be taken into consideration.

Rouge the Bat is a sarcastic, attitude filled treasure hunter that’s always on the look out for her next score, but she also has a playful and flirtatious side. For this extra casting call, we wanted to take a different direction for her, something not based off of any of her past voice actors specifically. The direction we’re taking should be as close as we can get to Vanessa Doofenshmirtz from Phineas & Ferb. Their attitudes match pretty well and we made a short video compiling some of Vanessa’s voice clips as a voice reference, which can be found here: https://youtube.com/shorts/9oQolQ8rawc?feature=share We ask that you submit 2-3 takes of each line in ABC-ABC format, and we encourage you to include any additional lines if you wish. Remember! We’re not asking for a Rouge impression we’re asking for a voice match of Vanessa! Do your best and have fun!
